How is super unleaded petrol different to normal unleaded?
Was filling up the car with petrol and noticed I was putting in Super Unleaded. The only clear difference with normal unleaded was that it cost 10p more per litre. I asked the cashier the difference and she told me, as though explaining complicated science, that ‘Super unleaded is for souped up cars. If someone comes in with a souped up car, they’ll put in super unleaded.’
Why? I asked, how is it different. She told me that it was slightly more expensive, but if you have a souped up car that’s what you need.
I don’t have a souped up car, so I am no further forward. Anyone know the difference?!
