This was a sensational scandal the LAT and other MSM papers passionately did not want to uncover when Edwards was a formal candidate, and now that the Enquirer seems to have done the job for them it looks like they want everyone to shut up while they fail to uncover it again. …

The scandal that a rich, powerful, Democrat lawyer/politician/Presidential candidate has a mistress, a bastard or two, or any other sort of off-brand sexual arrangement outside his marriage is very much a dog-bites-man story. However, it is instructive to watch the lengths the liberal MSM will go to protect one of their lefty heroes.

I am sort of surprised that John McCain hasn’t issued some idiotic statement condemning the “smear job” being done on Edwards, though.
