I categorically love Amy Winehouse.  Her voice spans and includes all of the most brilliant female artists, and some men too.  That said, her incredible rise has been stabbed with everything from drugs to drink to messy love affairs.  So, with a little hesitation, I give you a video of Ms. Winehouse on stage.  The clip claims that she is drunk.  I should be so lucky.....to sing like that........look like that...............

I love her, it sucks that she is so fucked up. She is one of my favorite singers and I really don't listen to alot of music outside of my particular genre, but Amy, you really can't classify, so she's unique and she's talented and great! :)

She's clearly not sober, but like Janis Joplin, her talent still soars above her personal demons.

It is awful to watch such a young and gifted burn too fast, too brightly. I have four years of sobriety, which was started because my best friend gave me the choice of the bottle or her friendship.

Amy's problem is exacerbated by her success. Like other tragic figures, she is surrounded by sycophants, who are feeding off her publicity, celebrity status and the money she generates.
