Nick Hogan is moving into the big part of the Big House.

The wrestling scion, who's currently serving eight months in a Florida jail for a DUI crash that left his passenger irreparably injured, will be moved on July 27—his 18th birthday—from the space he's currently sharing with fellow juvenile offenders into the general population.

Contrary to a TMZ report that he was switching facilities, Hogan, whose real last name is Bollea, is just going to be bunking in another part of the same jail, Pinellas County Sheriff's Office spokesman Sgt. Jim Borden told E! News Wednesday.

"Nicholas Bollea is [currently] a juvenile who has been court ordered to serve a sentence as an inmate in the Pinellas County Jail," Borden said. "The jail is an adult facility that has a daily population of around 3,300 inmates. Because he is currently a juvenile, he has been housed with other juveniles who have been similarly sentenced.

"On Sunday, his 18th birthday, he is scheduled to be transferred to a direct supervision dorm-type housing unit with up to 71 other sentenced adult male inmates," the sergeant continued. " It is my understanding that he will continue to work as a trustee in the Inmate Property Section of the jail."

Hogan unsuccessfully lobbied last month for a transfer from solitary confinement—where he was being held because of his tender age—to either temporary house arrest or shared accommodations for nonviolent offenders.

His wish was granted two days after a judge denied the request, however, when a routine assessment of the jailhouse population showed that there was some room for him among the juveniles after all.
