Please join the Economic Policy Institute on Thursday, July 31st, for a lively discussion about job dissatisfaction in the New Economy.

E.J. DIONNE, JR., moderator
Dionne is a columnist for The Washington Post and is nationally syndicated. A senior fellow in Governance Studies at the Brookings Institution, Dionne is the author of Souled Out: Reclaiming Faith and Politics after the Religious Right (Princeton University Press, 2008). 

DIANE SOSNE
Sosne is president of SEIU 1199NW, which represents more than 22,000 health care workers across Washington State. A registered nurse, she helped to found the union in 1983 and has led it through 25 years of growth, including the organizing victory at Northwest Hospital in Seattle that is described in Love the Work, Hate the Job. She is also President of the SEIU National Nurse Alliance.

PAUL ALMEIDA
Almeida is president of the Department for Professional Employees of the AFL-CIO. He was president of the International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers (IFPTE) from 1994 through 2001 and was a leader of the Boeing engineers’ strike in 2000. During Almeida’s last four years as president of IFPTE, the union’s membership increased by 75%.

DAVID KUSNET
Kusnet is the author of Love the Work, Hate the Job: Why America's Best Workers Are Unhappier than Ever (Wiley, 2008). A visiting fellow at the Economic Policy Institute, Kusnet was chief speechwriter for former President Bill Clinton from 1992 through 1994.
