After career year, Vermette signs two-year extension with Sens
OTTAWA -- Antoine Vermette signed a $5.25 million, two-year contract extension with the Ottawa Senators on Thursday after a season in which he had career highs in goals and points.

He earned nearly $1.1 million last year.
Vermette had 24 goals and 53 points while appearing in 81 games last season. He was among the league leaders with a 57 percent faceoff win rate.
In 297 career games with Ottawa, Vermette has 71 goals and 139 points.
