Wait, what? Homeless people rented a couple of hotel rooms? So they've got money to pay for some party rooms at the HoJo, money to buy enough black tar heroin to kill someone, but they can't afford a place to live? Get a job, dirtbags.

This is why you don't give money to homeless people.

Kinda messed up to charge the other guys he was partying with with homicide though. Not their fault if he can't handle his high.

As a result, two people are being held on high cash bail for felony drug charges. If toxicology tests prove the deceased — 36-year-old Anthony Fosher — died from the heroin he ingested at the party, the charges will be upgraded to reflect homicide, said police Detective Mike Schwartz.

That's dumb. So the next time someone drinks themselves to death we arrest the liquor store owner?

It's not the dealer's fault that the douchebag had too much.

No, Sunarro, all homeless are not the same. But apparently some of them in Portsmouth have chosen to spend whatever money they do have on heroin-fueled death-fests at a motel, instead of say something mundane like an apartment. Not having a home, living in shelters, doing drugs in hotel rooms makes you a dirtbag.

No, they didn't. Pulp Fiction stole that straight out of reality. People don't usually shoot up their first time. Snorting it is normally how people are introduced to it. They only move up to injection when snorting it doesn't get them off anymore.

According to legend, the reason its called heroin is because one of Bayer's test subjects said it was her hero for curing her pain. So he isn't that off.

The spelling might even have been the same at that point, as old labels always list both heroine and morphine with out the 'e' (heroin, morphin).

These people aren't your classic "street people". They live at Crossroads House, which is basically a shelter for drug addicts and alcoholics who've managed to piss their lives away.

They are BUMS, but have the cash for hotel rooms and dope? Apparently panhandling is good in the northeast.

Homelessness is what happens when your house burns down and you have no place to sleep. BUM is when you CHOOSE to abandon adult responsiblity entirely, and expect to survive on the largess of the rest of the responsible adults on the planet. If you have been standing on the same corner with a sign for 4 years, your plan is NOT working pal! Unless maybe your plan is to stay a stoned bum....

Flame away..as if I care.... I work with these people on a daily basis.. there may be one or two who are trying, but the majority are just bums,and having a home and a 'normal' life is something they dont want. Those with mental health issues, if they cant care for themselves, then they become custody of the state. There is NO reason for someone to be out there unless they want to be...

That's farked up. Unless they forced him to do heroin (I'm sure he readily volunteered) then how can they call it homicide?
Drug overdose == self inflicted.
