for some reason I read Chicago and not Congo.

I was really intrigued with the thought of Chicago flooding, as for war-torn... it's Chicago... come on.

Anyone seen Kisangani Diary? This was a documentary about the recent war in the Congo (1998-2003ish). Flooding is a dance party compared than what happened in that movie. Basically tens of thousands of people wandering around in the jungle -- with no home to go back to -- starving to death -- getting picked off by automatic weapons being fired indiscriminately at them from the forest.

Officials said the number of people killed could rise as relief workers reach districts cut off by the floods.
