National Board of Review's 2007 Awards

The awards season this year kicks off with the National Board of Review's selection for 2007. Until this year I'd never heard of the NBR, but apparently they're an organization that has been around for almost a century (originated in 1909). Either way, they've got some great picks and are the first one's to publish, so it's at least worth a mention.

What I really love about these awards is that the NBR seems to want to highlight every and anything that was good this year. They're not just picking the "one and only" winner, they're naming a top ten films list and just about everything that was even remotely good. I'm glad so many of my own favorites were even mentioned! Kudos to the inclusion of Gone Baby Gone, Casey Affleck in Assassination of Jesse James, and Michael Clayton.
