Sunshine Cleaning Trailer

You might've thought that a movie starring Amy Adams and Emily Blunt as two sisters whose father is played by Alan Arkin would've been a great movie, but alas, it's not. Sunshine Cleaning is an indie drama-comedy about these sisters who start up a crime scene clean-up service. Even the concept sounds like it should be fun, but this movie falls short on so many levels. However, I'll still run this trailer because I know there are some people out there who will fall in love with this movie. As interesting as this may look, don't be fooled, it's not that great of a movie. But give it a chance if you like what you see.

I gave this film a mediocre review in January. "There was way too much drama and not enough comedy... Although it eventually gets to some heartwarming dramatic scenes, Sunshine Cleaning suffers from so many script problems and an excess of expositions and happenings, that none of the drama really works."

Sunshine Cleaning is directed by Christine Jeffs, of indie films Rain and Sylvia previously. The script was written by first-time writer Megan Holley. This first premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year and was later picked up by Overture Films for distribution. Sunshine Cleaning arrives in limited theaters starting sometime in early 2009. Watch it at your own risk.

Anything with Amy Adams is good enough for me. I watch "Enchanted" when the wife isn't home 😉

Looks good and two good actresses too. Surprised that it will be released in '09 (missing out on Oscar Buzz, even if it isn't worthy, it can still ride that train).

The film is first-class to me. It says that the people not only fond of showing mussels, showy-basket ball-playing, cheapest erotic things in their life (like most of the films of Hollywood ), but also they (American people or other) have some feelings about family-member (mother), father's love, grandpa's love, social responsibility shown by a character having one arm. I am an audience. I enjoy the film from a audience point of view, not from a would-be film director, or script writer. The film is touchy, I believe.
