Must Watch: Full Trailer for Jim Carrey's Hilarious Yes Man

Warner Brothers has debuted a second full trailer for Jim Carrey's holiday comedy Yes Man. This definitely looks funny and thoroughly entertaining, even though I'm not sure if I'm tired of Carrey's humor yet or not. Interestingly absent from this trailer is any of the Harry Potter themed scenes or much of Zooey Deschanel, besides a quick introduction. I guess they're trying to sell its other finer comedic aspects rather than remind fans that the latest Harry Potter was moved to July. And I'll reiterate my same thoughts that I had from the first trailer - this reminds me too much of Liar Liar, which isn't exactly bad, but that movie came out back in 1997 and there's no need for a re-imagining of that comedy so soon. Thoughts?

Yes Man is directed by Peyton Reed, of Bring It On, Down with Love, and The Break-Up previously. The script was written by actor Jarrad Paul ("Living with Fran"), newcomer Andrew Mogel, and fellow director Nicholas Stoller (Forgetting Sarah Marshall). The film is based on the book of the same name written by Danny Wallace. Yes Man arrives in theaters everywhere on December 19th this holiday season.

I'll take is as liar liar 2. Plus, again, the supporting characters seem lame. This happens in all carey movies, he alone is left to supply all the funny, THAT'S NOT GOOD!

Zooey Deschanel provides overall coolness.

Another "Liar Liar" hmm compare? Divorced? Negative, Child? Negative, Lawyer? Negative, Magical wish by eight year old to stop lying for a day? Negative. any evidence of the "Claw?" Negative. Its about saying yes, being a positive, outgoing, and having no fearof worrying about others perception of you, that what "Yes Man" is all about. "Dance in your livingroom as if no one is watching, but still have the shades down, just in case."

To Bob: Definitely looks like another Liar Liar, which is not a bad thing. It would have looked like Liar Liar even if it didn't have Jim Carrey in it.. but come on! lol To Janny: Another Ace Ventura..?? Did you see the sequel? To LW: Yeah, Ive always kinda liked her since The New Guy.. although she did take a MAJOR backseat to Eliza Dushku's hotness. Zooey was a better actress though, and has done some pretty stuff since (Elf, anyone?). ..And Pork and Beans for the win.. the song actually fits quite well in the movie.

If Terrance Stamp tells you to do something, you can sure as shit believe the answer will be "YES!"

I'm a fan of his, but this is looking more like another "Dick and Jane" than a "Dumb and Dumber." We might not ever see another truly hilarious film from Jim.

It's not 'Liar, Liar' 2 - this is based on a book by Danny Wallace who actually did spend some time saying yes to EVERYTHING. The book's hugely entertaining, though I'm not sure how well it's translating onto the screen so far. Here's an idea - maybe read the book instead/as well? (Blasphemy on a movie site, I know...)

Shame about Zooey Deschanel, though. I find she has all the presence of pine furniture (but not nearly as much acting range, though).

I don't like her either. She just sits there. Show us you're still alive please! Worst character in Weeds, worst character in Hitchhiker's and probably the worst in this movie. That having been said, I think I'm gonna love this movie. I'm a big fan of Jim Carrey and Liar Liar is one of my favorites. They do seem a lot alike but I'm ready for it. Go Yes Man! p.s. Yay for Murray from FOTC being in this!

this looks bad. i for one am somewhat tired of this kind of humor, or at least the way it is presented (aka the overplayed acting).

Yeah, even if it is Liar Liar-"ish", this is the kind of slapstick comedy JC is good at. Entertaining, that's what this movie will be, and that's all I ask of it. We'll need good entertainment soon.

Personally, I'll take Zooey just sitting there, just walking across the screen, just smiling, just saying a few words in that super-sexy husky voice, and she's a good singer, too! I've said it before and I'll say it again...I loves me some Deschanel women. Her sister Emily is "Bones", by the way. I love her, too. And this movie looks pretty good, too!

looks more like the bucket list... not sure i like it... jim carrey's talent has been brutally wasted... he should have done a few more of the truman show and the eternal sunshines... i loved him in lemony snicket's... this not so much... more in the dick and jane category... wont waste time in a theatre... bring on bruce almighty at the very least.... and personally i cant stand the ace ventura bunch of movies... YUCK
