Tipis at Glastonbury

So, we're here at Glastonbury and, after a few wrong turns on the way here and some hitches pitching my tent (I've never been the best camper), I'm starting to settle into the rhythm of working at the festival.

The Greenpeace field is almost complete and the garden design is quite amazing with covered walkways, vegetable patches and other examples of one planet living. As I write, music is blaring from the skateboard ramp behind me and I can hear the whoosh of wheels as the skaters do their turns.Last night, I was lured into the interactive light installation (another work by Jason Bruges, who created the installation at last year's 100% Light expo) which is quite addictive, especially after a few cans of Strongbow. Watch this video on our moblog to get some idea of what it's about.

Ah yes, the Leave No Trace moblog. Together with Abi from Oxfam, Joe from WaterAid and Alfie from Moblog itself, Tracy, Bex and myself are capturing the best of Glastonbury on our mobile phones. No doubt there will be pictures from the Pyramid Stage at some point, but we'll also be digging out the hidden corners that don't get so much attention, in particular those which are examples of low impact, one planet living. To see where they are, browse the map and thanks to fancy Spinvox technology, we'll be leaving voice messages on the blog which are automatically converted into text.

It's not just us who'll be providing the images and video, though - we've opened up the moblog to anyone at Glastonbury with a mobile phone, so if you're heading down here send SMS or MMS to 07786 201 241 with the keyword TIDY at the start of the message. The site is also available as a mobile version at http://m.leavenotrace.org.uk so even when you're pogoing to CSS or moping to Leonard Cohen, you can see what's happening elsewhere at the festival. If you still want more, the moblog is also being piped through Twitter - text 'follow lovethefarm' to 07624 801 423 for updates (although I'll warn you now, there are have been a fair few so far).

And the best thing? Only a smidgen of rain this morning and plenty of sunshine for the remainder. Maybe I won't need my wellies after all...
