Required Reading: Corruption, missing principals and more

*Andre Hornsby, the former HISD administrator who landed in Maryland as a superintendent, was found guilty of six federal corruption charges. *Student turnout was good at an enrollment fair for Johnston High School in Austin. Johnston is in the same boat as HISD's Sam Houston, repeatedly deemed unacceptable, told to close by TEA Commissioner Robert Scott but allowed to reopen with different staff, programs and a new name.

*HISD trustees talked about wanting a more creative salary structure for teachers. Check out what's on the table in D.C.

I called today to find out if I could speak with my board member and discovered she was out of town with 5 other board members. The office did not explain the purpose of the trip, but is this legal? Can more than 5 board members meet in a different city? Are they meeting using tax payers money?

Erika I am curious to know what you discover.
