"Legendary Rik Cordero"...I like it

I'm a real big fan of his work and Sly Fox is a serious track. I can't wait to see the video.

I just saw the final product over at Byron Crawford. Fuckin' nice to see you show up in it.

It's nice to see that Nas, or at least Rik Cordero, know who runs this hip-hop vid blog shit.

lol

What up Jay Smooth, I like the footage you got of the production. Looks like another great collaboration between Nas and Rik Cordero.

But something else is on my mind. What's your take on Jesse Jackson wanting to cut Obama's nuts off?

I think the whole thing is kind of funny and what makes it especially funny is that he was doing an interview with Fox News and got busted.

I don't want to hear anything about hot mics. When you're in front of a camera and you have a microphone attached to your person, don't try to tell me you didn't know the mic was turned on.

Someone as media savvy as Reverend Jackson should know better.

Though I understand the context of Reverend Jackson’s comments where to object to Obama’s stance on faith-based initiatives and the involvement of Black folk in such initiatives, but come on.

When the “Sly Fox” is watching and all they’re looking for is something to talk about, why give them exactly what they want?

Now all the 24-hour news stations are running ramped dissecting Jackson’s comments and revisiting the issue of Obama’s “Blackness.”

All media outlets are stuck in a time warp and think it’s the late ‘80s or really ‘90s and that Jesse Jackson is still the main authority on all things “Black.”

Damn. Just when I thought things were on the right path the argument always comes back to Obama’s race.

Is Obama too black? Is he black enough? Is he an elitist? Is he talking down to black folk?

Can someone please make it stop?

I think this issue has less to do with Obama’s “Blackness” and more to do with the fact that Jesse Jackson has been visited by the green eyed monster (envious much Jesse), but that’s just my opinion.

IMHO, I lost a lot of respect for the former presidential candidate when the facts came out about his children he fathered out of wedlock. And I know he’s not the first to do it and won’t be the last, but you can’t portray yourself to be holler than thou and you got whores in different area codes.

But anyway, I just wanted to see what you take was because you always seem to know how to put things in its proper context.

Peace,

Holy fucking shit! You're on the Nas video! :O
Awesome!

I'm still soundless here on the internets, but I've heard the new Nas album, and this track that's being made for video. I stand on exact ground with Nas. I think he should have changed FOX FIVE to FOX NEWS in the hook though. Yet, still an important track.

That's what's up, I'm glad you got the chance to be involved in such a monumental video. I think this album is a classic before it was even released, although there are many who continue to hate on Nas. First Nas album I'm planning to buy since It Was Written.

Congratulations on being featured in the video. I love that Sly Fox track, and I'm definitely making it a point to purchase Nas' album on Tuesday morning.

Taking a sledgehammer to that monitor looked like fun! LOL
