I have been writing for the almost a month on every Saturday about stumbleupon, its positives, negatives, what you can get from it and much more. This post is a round up on stumbleupon. You will read what stumbleupon has for you if you are a blogger, or an advertiser and what you can do to get a good experience.

Few Tips For Getting A Post Popular In StumbleUpon
You have been writing good posts and waiting for it to become famous in stumbleupon and it never seems to happen. What you have to do is, you’ll have to analyze what you have been doing. Once you find this, you can try to change a few things and see what results you are getting. Few things which you can do to make your post get more stumbles are:
1. Format the post properly
2. Little ads
3. A very good image, if possible, a humorous one
4. Something unique

These are few things you can work on to get more number of stumbles to your blog post.

How Much Traffic You Can Expect?
You have done all the hard work to make your blog post become hot in stumbleupon and now you deserve the best results. Traffic from stumbleupon is obviously huge, though not as huge as a front page of digg. But it is a lot easier to get into the buzz page of stumbleupon for a specific tag, than to get anywhere near the front page of digg. If your post is really good and provides value, it is sure to do well in stumbleupon. Almost every topic you can name, does well in stumbleupon. But you won’t get the same traffic for all the niches. You can expect high traffic if your post is on technology. Though you cannot expect the same when you posts are on real estate.

How Advertisers Can Benefit From StumbleUpon?
I know there are few advertisers who read this blog and I would disappoint you by not telling you how you can benefit from stumbleupon. StumbleUpon has its own advertising system where you can get targeted traffic from stumbleupon for less money. You can get targeted visitors for as low as 5 cents per targeted visitor. Not only you get targeted traffic, when these people come to your site and like your site, they will tend to give a thumb up and this will drive extra traffic. The more stumbles your site gets from the targeted visitors, the higher the traffic your site will get. You can learn more on stumbleupon advertising from here and you can also learn on how to run a successful stumbleupon campaign from here.

The Conversions
Whether you are a blogger or advertiser, you need to have pretty good conversion rate. You have to get your hard work’s or money’s worth. So how do you get good conversion rate? All you need to do it to have a quick loading site, little ads (as stated above) and a call-for-action. It doesn’t matter if you are trying to increase your subscribers or get people to subscribe to your optin list or to sell a product. You need to have a really good page that is fast loading. Call to action is very important. People subscribe to your blog if you make it easier for them to subscribe. If you are selling a product, tell them how your product is unique from others’. People say stumbleupon traffic is not good. But you can get good conversions if you have a proper website.

So I have said a lot about stumbleupon and yes, there are more which I don’t know and you might know. If you have any questions, you can ask it in the comments, I’ll try to answer or if you have any tips, you can post it to your blog or post in the comments too. All good points. I love stumbleupon as a toolbar and a traffic source. Remember the best way to get traffic from a system is to use it as a user.

I love stumbleupon - it’s brought a huge influx of hits, I also rely heavily on facebook, twitter, Comments from blogs like yours! Of course it helps also having a 5000+ following on twitter… Each blog post has a potential of reaching 5000, - very nice.

Great tips for using SU, but one thing i feel I need to add. They wont accept advertising from pages that have a large “Buy now” type button. I found this out the hard way with a site that i work on in my spare time. Great post, Thanks!
