I'm an all-or-nothing kind of girl.
When I decided not to post ads, I didn't just keep that to myself and leave a little wiggle room in case I changed my mind (I won't). No, I had to proclaim it to the world.
When my ex-husband and I had an argument over amputees, I decided to make my point by not using my arms for an entire day. A wire hangar in the mouth and I was good to go. Of course, I was much more limber then, but I proved my point.
And now I feel another declaration coming on. The memes, the memes, the dreaded memes! Some are so old that I feel bad even acknowledging them. But I just hate these things!
Now, I know I do Haikus and I've done a few carnivals, but the memes. Come on, does anyone really like them or are they just good for a post when you can't think of anything else to write?
Well, whatever your opinion on the meme is, I have decided that Just Chicken Feed is the place for them to die.

I do memes when I'm running out of ideas. But I never do the same one twice, because even I get bored that way. And yet I'm always flattered when someone tags me - I'm like, "Oh, s/he thought of lil ol' me!" Even though I know that most people don't like memes.

Amen! I publicly gave up on memes in January, though I hadn't really done them before that either. I was "tagged" for this book one though, that has me really tempted.

As a person who feels immense guilt over most every decision I make, I hate NOT doing memes when tagged. Furthermore, I am reluctant to tag others because then I feel as if I inconvenience them.
Sometimes they're fun to read and do, others they just. suck.

LOL I was very hungry when i gave birth. We slept in until nearly 11pm the day my water broke, and i didn't know i wasn't allowed to eat at the hospital *drums fingers irritatingly* So all i had eatten that day was half a bowl of cereal as my water broke -while- i was eatting... 28 hours later when they wheeled me into my room i ate a foot long subway sandwhich AND my entire plate of hospital food. I felt like a starving wolf ready to bite anyone who even looked at my plate =p
I hate the memes. And I feel SO guilty when someone tags me and I don't go through with it. Thanks for posting about this.

I wish I had more hours in the day... I found you from Dawn at Alex Year One. I learned from her how meme is pronounced, now I need to go back and figure out what it means and do I do it? I'm more likely to do things my own way and not 'conform', so maybe I don't do the meme thing... thanks for the post!
