Police Think 2 Men Argued Before Shooting

EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. -- A man has been charged in a killing that police said stemmed from a family dispute.The El Dorado County District Attorney's Office filed a criminal complaint Tuesday charging Morris Greenberg, 37, with one count of murder and a special allegation that he personally and intentionally discharged a firearm that caused the death of Anthony Dumont, 26.Authorities said they think Dumont and Greenberg where engaged in an argument when Greenberg allegedly shot Dumont from close range with a handgun.
The shooting happened at about 1:55 p.m. July 20 at a home on Nutmeg Lane, officials said.When deputies arrived at the home, they found Greenberg lying in the driveway with a gunshot wound to his head, police said.Pierson said the wound was apparently self-inflicted.The shooting followed a family dispute, police said.Greenberg remains in the hospital under police custody.He was arrested Sunday, Chief Assistant District Attorney William M. Clark said.
