      Finishing my review from 2014***

Lavish hotel. I got a room for me and my 7 year old, since she's on track break, I decided to do a little Staycation with her, and also, I couldn't pass up the Local deals. The front desk employees were easy to talk too. I got a room with them in under a minute without having reserved a room first.

Since it was just me and my daughter, I requested a studio with a lake view. The view was beautiful, the room is modernize, comes with a full kitchen. I got to cook breakfast for two served outside the balcony in the morning.

The studio came with a nice size living room with a full size L shaped couch. The bathroom amazing, it had a tub, the water pressure was strong, nice tiles and a see through shower. It felt like a little apartment.

It was refreshing and peaceful to be out of the City for the weekend. We will be back.

I enjoyed this resort, just know there are several buildings associated with this resort so if you want to be in the same building as the Front desk i'd recommend a Viera room. I booked a room in the Luna di Lusso building which was on the other side of the lake. The property was clean, I booked a 1 bedroom suite which i found to be great. It had a large balcony that looked at the golf course and lake and a kitchen area with all the utensils and a dishwasher

After a certain hour, there aren't employees to help you so when i called to have the bedroom TV looked at because all i got was white snow, noone was available to answer the phone...and when i needed more bath amenities, I had to walk all the way across the lake at 11pm to the other building to pick it up as noone was available to bring it to my room.

Despite that detail, its a quiet comfortable place and the rooms are very nice.

Stayed on a Sunday night, the day before Labor Day. The locals/residents discount made our 1 night stay really worth it. We had a two bedroom 2 bath condo overlooking the lake. We stayed in the 'Luna' buildings, which is across the lake from the main village. It was quiet, serene, and did not feel like we were in Las Vegas.

Being a local, we were well aware that the area has been a lot more 'quiet' due to the economy, meaning less foot traffic, less staff, and less dining options. However, those aspects did not have an affect on our stay. There was an art show in the village the afternoon we checked in, so we strolled around the village (walking across the bridge which is a short easy walk). We rented pedal boats, watched other guests paddle board and jet pack 'fly' in the lake. We stopped by a chocolate store in the village and the employees that we encountered at the shops and boat rental were helpful and friendly.

In the evening, we watched the sun set while at the pool, which wasn't crowded and just enough other guests to keep the kiddos busy. There was live music at the village across the lake which echoed over to our side and we could hear it perfectly. We then went back to our condo and enjoyed cooking a home cooked meal in the fully stocked kitchen while all the kiddos showered. Having Dish TV was a plus, and we were never once bored.

The next morning I enjoyed sleeping in, as the beds were comfortable. Made some coffee, relaxed on one of the two patio balconies, then made breakfast again in the stocked kitchen.

The best part? It's a 15 minute drive from our home.

Our check in experience was the only time we had contact with actual Aston employees, and they handed us a map of our room and a parking pass. Parking was ample, and we had taken 3 vehicles with us. Check out was a breeze-I just called the front desk and left my keys in the room.

The room itself was clean and decorate with a modern flair (modern light fixtures, dark cabinets, stainless steel appliances, dark granite countertops, tiled bathrooms with modern sink fixtures, and a flat screen TV). If you prefer the modern look over a contemporary look, try to book a room in the Luna building instead of in the Viera building.

The pool area was nice, plenty of lounge chairs and a warm hot tub and mini (shallow) pool that is also warmed.

We will definitely be back, and have told many friends about our positive experience so that they can stay and boost business. It's a beautiful place, maybe just lacking the crowds and business that was once here. Would love to see it get to that point again.

This little oasis is just 10 minutes from Henderson. 2 golf courses amid the lakes and at the center is the Montelago Casino & Resort, The Ritz-Carlton and the Montelago Village.

It's really an outdoor mall of specialty shops and fine dining on the edge of the lake attached to the Resort & Casino.

It has such a quaint village feel with its cobble stone walks and architecture.

I've been out here twice for special events. 1st an Easter Egg hunt for the kids and most recently the 1st annual chili cook-off.

There's always a nice crowd but it is managed well because there is never a long line or anything.

I would agree it is overpriced but it is the Ritz and the Village. It's a nice day trip to get away from the Jungle.

I have posted more pics here http://offthestripdining.blogspot.com/2009/01/llv-chili-cook-off.html

I was recently at this Resort with my family as our destination during Spring Break vacation;) We absolutely loved this Resort as it is a secluded and quiet location, a must if you need to getaway from the city and totally relax. It's a fully furnished condo with kitchenette, coffee maker, toaster, blender, plates, cups, microwave, dinnerware, it's a quiet home away from home:) Views of the lake are serene and absolutely beautiful. Hot tub was perfect and pool water was warm not cold, there's parking outdoors and underground parking, there's also a fitness center and laundry room
The only area that needs improvement is electronic devices, they should offer a flat screen and more recent dvd player, but overall great resort:)
We are looking forward to returning here but staying longer in near future

Went here for the beer festival.....Another beer fest that I think wasn't worth what they charge. Next if I go, I won't pay for the VIP that's for sure!
Seems like there weren't that many beer vendors. We got there at 2:00 p.m. so awww that was so nice, not hardly anyone there. It's like we were in a fantasy land with all the beer we could drink and no lines. So we stopped at a couple of places, then decided to get a slice of pizza from one of the shops there, the pizza was really good. I would drive back out there just for pizza. I wanted to get some fries from the" Blond Bacon Creations " Wow, those fries were amazing. I got the jalapeno, ranch, bacon fries! So after that we continue to walk around. Gordon Biersch was there, cool, we know we like there's but other than that. There was another one really liked "Brooklyn Brown Ale" after we made our rounds, this was where we decided to just hang out. By the time we left it was about 5:00 there still weren't that many people attending the event. This is another beer fest I will thing twice about going to next yr. And plus it was way too hot! They should move it to May, that way it's not so hot. I started feeling ill right before we left, between the beer and the heat, not a good combo.

Attended my brother's wedding on June 9.

Mr & I arrived late on Friday night, baby sister picked us up @ the airport. Vegas was HOT about 97 degrees at 10 PM. Drove at least 17 miles before we reach our resort.

Pulled in a underground parking, w/c I found safe. Proceeded to walk to our room. I noticed right away they have 2 big swimming pool, one for children and one for adults. Darn it, were so rushed I didn't packed a bathing suit.

Got to our Vierra Suite, a 3 bedroom/3 bathroom lake view. It was huge complete with kitchen and large living room. all rooms including the living room has balcony overlooking the lake & the plaza. We even have a huge plasma tv.

      Room Amenities

Balcony/sun deck, Bathrobes, Cable TV, CD player, Coffee maker, Coffee/tea - complimentary, Data port, Deck/patio furniture, Direct dial phones, Dishwasher, DVD, Fridge, Full kitchen, Hairdryer, High Speed Internet Access, In suite washer/dryer , Individually controlled air-conditioning, Individually controlled heating, Iron/ironing board, Local TV, Microwave, Oven, Radio, Stove, Toaster, VCR, Voicemail, Windows that open.

Regular price $519.00 to $739.00 Average night rate but since were there for a wedding with the discount we paid about $1100 for 2 nights & 3 days, not bad. We practically occupied the suite so I'm pretty sure they make money.

I like this resort because the have free concert on the weekend, after the wedding on Saturday, there's a live jazz band playing, it was so romantic.

For some they have casino inside the resort so you do not have to drive to the strip. The restaurant have live band playing it was great.

This resort was awesome, perfect for wedding.

Just so you know, the maximum guests they allowed is 100. And be prepared to have a budget of $25-35 K. Presidential suite is included in the package.

      A deserted village...

One would think that on a Friday evening this place would be alive but unfortunately most of the businesses are closed or out of business and it was very sad to see this beautiful place so dark & quiet.

There were a few restaurants open with just a few guests in each of them and all of the art galleries and gift shops were no longer there. I remember buying some random decorations but none of those places were still around. The village had an eery feeling & I hope it comes back to life one day.

My boyfriend & I came for a relaxing weekend & that's exactly what it was. Relaxing!!!!!
I was really hesitant about this place after reading all the awful reviews, but I'm pleased to say that was not the case for us at all.
We stayed at the Viera. Check in was a breeze, staff was super friendly & helpful. There were no crazy hidden charges like mentioned by others. Our room was great. It was nice, clean & well kept. We had everything we needed in there. Many mentioned the fact that its quite lonely & it is. There's not too many people out & about at the bars & restaurants, but if you're looking for the whole Vegas party experience, then make the 25 min drive to the strip. Its a nice, quiet & relaxing place.

The only downfall for us was the Casino is closed.
Other than that our experience was a great one & we will definitely be back.
I guess my only word of advice is don't stay on the Luna Di Lusso side.

Pool side. Quiet & relaxing. The only thing I would add to this place is a pool bar. An ice cold beer would've been perfection!

What makes a weekend get away amazing? Relaxing environment, fun vibrant energy around; a great hotel with good service and finally the area being a nice place to stay that you forget your on vacation.

This hotel is nice hotel with great service; as long as you don't stay on the Luna side, which is on the opposite end of the lake. The area you walk through to get there will literally drain your energy; but not from it being a half mile walk but because the entire ceiling is filled with cob webs and black looking mold spores. A weekend get away of two nights 3 days cost us $250 from booking.com and your $250 could have been better spent on a nicer better room on the strip. The service of the staff is nice though. Also the lake was only partially dried out, which isn't bad for a drought during summer.

The bridge of depression you take to the Luna side is bad but not as bad as the village with 75% of the shops empty. Hey even have a casino there that's abandoned. This place hasn't recovered from the crash of the bubble years ago. Hell it looks like this place wasn't even updated since then. The environment and the fun vibe around here is dead along with the glory of this place, but is relaxing since no one is around; like being stranded in the desert searching for your animal guide.

Lastly the restaurants here are a bit over priced but being so dead, the three restaurants that were open were pretty expensive for being in the middle of no where. Thankfully the strip is only 40 minutes away to enjoy a nice meal for the same price.

All in all do not come here there are better ways to throw away money! This place has been neglected and is run down. The lake was mostly dried out so its not a very nature pose to come, I don't even know why it's called lake Las Vegas when this in Henderson, a very desolate and old part of Henderson. Same your money and sleep in the park up the road from here it's cheaper and your closer to amenities!
