Should United Keep Ronaldo?

Throughout the whole of the summer everyone was talking about Cristiano this Cristiano that and I think everyone (apart from the media) had enough of it, the January transfer window is coming ever closer and Cristiano is been linked with a move yet again.

I was expecting there to be rumours but not to Inter Milan, apparently he is now going to join Inter Milan in the transfer window- whatever!

Cristiano Ronaldo is a fantastic player but I really think that if things get as bad as they did in the summer then he needs to come out and say something.

Ronnie is a Manchester United player and I can honestly say that I believe that Sir Alex won't let him go in January so can we not have a transfer window when people don't talk about Cristiano Ronaldo?

Will Manchester United be better off without Ronaldo? That is a totally different question and my answer is- I'm not sure.

Here is what one of the members of Manchester United's official forums think:

Toan Vu Dinh thinks that Man United will be better of without him because:

1) Do not have to deal with saga every transfer window

2) Receive cash from his transfer to boost the squad

3) Ball does not have to go through him that would slower attack speed due to his show-off play.

4) Team do not have to play 10 against 11 e.g last Sunday

5) Better team balance between defense and attack as no body knows when Ronaldo will track back and when he will not

6) Other players can take free kick with even more effectiveness

7) No penalty miss from Ronaldo

8) Fans do not have to talk about Ronaldo everyday

9) Do not waste a place in starting line up for big match. Boss does not want to leave him out but the opposite he never perform in the big match

10) Can get best of Rooney without Ronaldo

Some of those are totally unfair, here is what I think on each one:

1. I can agree with number one, I was sick of Ronaldo's name during the summer and it is boring especially when United said they weren't going to sell him and that is that.

2. Money is fantastic but like City will prove, money isn't everything, you have to buy the right players and we can buy players without having to sell Ronaldo.

3. Manchester United break at a fast pace, has this guy ever watched a Man United match?

4. Number four is another ridicoulous one, yeah he got sent off but Rooney, Scholes and others have also been sent off, just because they have been sent off doesn't mean you should get rid.

5. I think our defenders are good enough to cope, Ronaldo has tracked back this season, I can't remember the matches to give you the proof but I no that he has done.

6. Other players do take freekicks, Hargreaves and Giggs do take them and I am sure that Nani and Tevez would also take them but Ronaldo takes them and most of the time last season they were on target so give him a chance.

7. Players miss penalties, you shouldn't sell someone because they missed a penatly, I don't know which one he was on about, he missed one against Barcelona but we went through anyway and he missed a penalty in the Champion's League final but so did John Terry, you would never see Chelsea selling Terry because he missed a penalty.

8. Fans have a choice who they talk about, if you don't want to talk about him then don't, this week fans have mainly talking about Tevez.

9. Come off it, Ronaldo scored in the Champion's League final, if that isn't a big match then I don't know what is.

10. I can kind of agree with that but there have been points in the past few seasons that those two played well together.

I would love to know your opinions on these reasons.
