Stern's show, through comedy, has always celebrated diversity in the extreme.

It's something you can sense... that people of all types, orientations, races, and backgrounds clearly fascinate him. That's what makes Howard's show and humor so interesting and deceptively sophisticated. And that's also why he has ultimately been accepted by people of all walks; as opposed to doofus clone "shock jocks" whose boorish and boring "comedy" comes from a place of anger and thinly veiled bigotry.

I am a HUGE O&A fan, and I agree with SatRadMadMan on this. I think shows like Stern ADN O&A do take comedy tot he extreme by mocking ALL sorts of people, even themselves.

Howard making fun of someone or O&A doing the same is not sexism, racism, classism, or any ism... it is humor and to be honest, humor is what brings folks together. Yea lets be honest, on Clone Shock Jock Radio, you have two guys who hate all nonwhites and homosexuals to the point that one deifies Hilter. The third mic has fucked other men. So your not going to get any groundbreaking radio from that, just hatred of women, other sexual orientations, and obviously other races. Thats why terrible "shock jocks" like that should be thrown off the air and not hide behind the cover of satellite radio, while true radio talent like Howard can be embraced by all orientations and creeds.

Personally i enjoy both shows(O&A and Stern) just like i enjoy all kinds of funny and satirical forms of entertainment. Its really just a shame that we all have to tolerate A.C.'s venomous, hate spewing diatribes here on this forum however we do/will because most of us here are level headed decent intelligent people and more than make up for the hate spewing 14yr olds.

As a former Stern fan, I seriously thought this was common knowledge, like Bush being pro-war and Skippy being pro-peanut butter.

I think both Stern and O&A do great in this regard, especially given Takei on Stern and Jimmy (whose stories would make a regular bathhouse attending gay person cringe) on O&A playing such prominent roles in the shows. Sure they take their ribbing, but they can crack jokes and turn things around nicely. Both shows are funny because they don't just target one group and mock it - they can find the humor in anything and anyone.

So, as a pest, I fully endorse this message.

Thank you The Squeaky Wheel! I am a much bigger fan of one of the shows than the other, but I'm not even gonna say which one because it DOESN'T MATTER! If Howard makes you laugh, enjoy it. If Opie and Anthony make you laugh, enjoy it. Don't concern yourself with the success or failures of any shows but the ones you're a fan of because in the end that's what matters. I've never once heard a Leno fan hope for the cancellation of Letterman's show or vice versa. They just watch the show they like and enjoy it. What's so different about morning radio?

WHen did this become a fight between Oand A and Stern. This is a great article about Stern and you turn it into a fight. Is somebody jelous? Stern has done a lot for the gay community. And the average young male like myself has become much more accepting and understanding of the gay lifestyle. Stern has opened up people's minds that not neccessarly (?) could be opened. We need to celebrate that.
