Casual Games Boonty Acquires Chinese Firm Gamehub

Boonty, an online distributor of casual games, is acquiring Beijing-based Gamehub, a creator and publisher of multiplayer casual digital game titles. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. This acquisition will fit in the new Boonty offer combining the community-based aspects of casual gaming with social networking, the company said. Gamehub was founded last year; Boonty has been in operation since 2001, and riased $10 million in second round funding in July.
