VIKES LOSE ALEXANDER

To the extent that the Minnesota Vikings were thinking about promoting linebacker Rufus Alexander from the practice squad to the active roster to replace defensive tackle Kevin and/or Pat Williams, it’s too late. The Colts, per a league source, have signed Alexander from Minnesota’s practice squad. Alexander was a sixth-round pick of the Vikings in 2007. Per league rule, the Colts will be required to keep him on the active roster for at least three weeks.
