MARKET HEATING UP FOR DERRICK WARD?

There are indications that the market for the services of free-agent running back Derrick Ward is beginning to heat up. Ward, who along with Brandon Jacobs of the Giants rushed for more than 1,000 yards in 2008, is hoping to become the No. 1 guy with a new team. Per a league source, the Bucs, Bengals, Broncos, and Eagles are all interested at this point. The question, however, is whether anyone is going to pay Ward like the Falcons paid Michael Turner last year. (The topic is one of the various items -- we think there are ten in all -- contained in our free agency Ten-Pack at SportingNews.com.) Ward has visited Cincinnati currently is in Denver. On Tuesday, it’s on to Tampa. After that, Ward could visit Philly.
