Gordon Ramsay “battle[s] with Fox” over contestants who are a “liability,” has an ulcer

This season of Hell’s Kitchen may have its biggest prize ever, and has been rather entertaining, it still seems to be cast with a bunch of incompetent morons who are only there because it makes good TV for Gordon Ramsay to scream at them.

As it turns out, Ramsay thinks those contestants are problematic, and blames the network on them being cast. “Characters have to be flamboyant and funny, but you know they could be on the verge of a liability. That’s my battle with Fox — they want to run a show, and I a restaurant,” he told TV Guide as part of a brief but informative interview.

He also says that, after filming the second season of Kitchen Nightmares, “I’ve just been told I’ve got an ulcer from eating crap. So I have a big medical bill coming towards Fox. I swear to God, I’m so pissed off.”
