They’re bringing our kids quality, educational programming.

But as far as teaching them how to count, well…

Or maybe they’re just making sure our kids are as depressed as we are about aging.

  3. Aah, my (extremely huge) 8 month old son is wearing size 24 months; I can understand why they have it. That said, still funny.

  4. Hehehehe!

Sizing here gives me the shits. It is supposed to be age dependent so we have 0,1,2,3, etc. Funny thing, Amy still can’t wear size 1 pants because they are too big around her waist.

  5. Oh yeah and I forgot to mention. Amy’s 4 mth old cousin wears the same size clothes as Amy.

  7. Did it come in other sizes? Or are one year olds now gargantuan creatures twice the size we were? Somehow I doubt it…

  8. laugh…kids size doesn’t really make sense to me most of the time. Maybe the people who sewn the tag on those tiny shirts thinks “Anyway, kids can’t read, so who cares…..”

  17. There are some big one year olds, yo! Davey’s big, but was stil l in 12 clothes at 12 months. I’m still holding on to “our” jammies even though the sleeves are now 3/4 length. Mabye I really should breakdown and get him some 18mos. LOL

    Anyway… HI!

It’s a sign of the growing trend of bigger babies! (Yeah, I know it’s not a TREND…but, with tiny babies that’s my best defense).

I mean, seriously…I knew a 9 month old that was 25lbs!!! My nephews are quickly outgrowing my kids…small babies like mine seem to be the EXCEPTION nowadays…

  20. I am so jealous of your young Mr B. He gets to have his tusch flashed all over the Internet and women love it. If that was me, the FBI, CIA, NSA and NRO would be all over me like white on rice. Much less the cops. But HE gets his butt flogged all over hell and creation and everyone says ‘OOOOOH’ and ‘AAAHHHH’ and if it was me it would be ‘Bleh’. So yes, I’m jealous. And a bit grumpy and out of sorts. Caught a cold. Where’s my picture of THE RACK when I really need it?

  21. that is funny! How many sizes did it some in?

But then again, I had an almost three year old wearing 18-24 month clothes. Then all of a sudden she had a growth spurt, totally missed 2T and went straight to 3T clothes. So much for stocking up on a good sale.

So much to look forward to here in Japan where I am sure I will have to buy my huge foreign child (Seriously mothers of children that are half or non-Japanese have people constantly comment on how BIG their child is)clothes for three year old when they are less than one since kids here are so tiny! (Most of the time anyway!)

I joined WW for the first time this week!!!!

  34. That is great! Well done! You know whats funny, my pants say 36, but I am only 33…strange.

  35. Don’t even get me started on 2t vs. 24 months. Kids sizing makes no sense (as do the sizes on my pants).

  36. Ohhhhh….clothing sizes for children drive me nuts! It’s so hard to buy clothes for my kiddo according to his “size”. My poor skinny, no-butt 4 year old still can wear his 2T pants if they weren’t too short.

My mom always tries to buy him clothes, but if you buy according to “age” it’s never right.

I wonder how big the “I’m One!” shirts went? :)

  41. Yeah I once saw “Baby’s First Christmas” outfits going up to 36 mos and 3T. I didn’t get it either… BUT, I don’t think it’s necessarily a trend of babies being bigger… I think clothing measurements and sizes have gotten smaller over the years. I look at some clothes in some stores that happene do be made off-shore and hold it up thinking “that’s a large? for who? Tinkerbell?”

  46. hmmm…I didn’t get it at first…..

    but…..

    In America I am a size 8

    Here I am a size 12

    (I think thats right)

Here, a size 8 is really small.

A size 4 is very very very very small (impossible?)

A size 0 here means that you are just made of air.

So when a tv show comes on about celebrity weight in america, we here in Aus all gasp that she is a SIZE 0.

Jordon is a size 5 now and he is 5.

    So….Can I be a size 20.5 years?

That would mean that Nathan is bigger than me too.

Fat? What Fat? I’m a size 20.5 YEARS

  47. LOL Well if you’ve got fat babies, like I had, you might need a 24 month shirt at 12 months.

    Shoes, that’s another story.

  50. When buying for my babies I quickly learned to ignore size tags and try the item on the child. At one stage my eldest had pyjamas labelled 00, 0, 1, and they all fit perfectly. They were all small as babies and toddlers so I’d buy the size that fit their waist, and adjust the length when I got home. Shorts and skirts (shirts too) often had contrasting fabric added to lengthen, dresses were taken apart at the waist occasionally for a 3inch lace panel to be inserted, quite effectively maiking them the correct length. Most things these days seem to be made to fit kids with very short or very long legs and arms which is a bit weird.

  51. Oh golly. That’s just depressing.

  53. Yup, HILARIOUS! Baby clothes make absolutely NO sense. How many babies actually wear the clothing size that match their ages? Not many in my experience. They should just start baby sizes at 1, not age one, but just 1. Or maybe by weight. It is just too confusing.
