Default Selling tshirts to fundraising committees

We're being asked to throw our hat into the ring with fundraising in our community for various organizations/schools.
Has anyone else done this?
We're not sure how we go about pricing in this area.
We know what we would like to offer, i.e. customized shirts for fundraising, we just are really unsure how to price.

Thanks in advance!

I work with lots of schools and church organizations doing fundraising projects. I explain all my ideas to them and the cost. I explain although I want to help them. I need to make a profit to stay in business. I think being honest and up front with them helps establish my sincerety. I have worked with several of my customers for 5 + years. I educate my customers on all up front charges ( screens, art, and shop fees) and how my pricing structure works. I can't stress enough that you must be honest and let them know your goal is to make a profit. good luck. ..... JB

Thank You to both of you!!
I appreciate the information a great deal.
This is something we have been fairly clueless on. We would love to be able to do something at cost but we're no where near ready to do that, we want to be fair and as helpful as possible, but like you said coeds, make some sort of a profit, or we'll likely lose our own shirts

When we do shirts we try and see if you can put our name on the shirts some where. The last order we did that I was talking about 350 shirts we put our website on the back and the people who are running it loved that we were giving them at cost the put us in 5 newspapers, 3 radio stations and banners for the fund raiser and all it cost us was 1hour of our time and $15 of ink. Its some times worth it.

I forgot to mention.I worked with the local High School on shirts. I had kids and adults from the High School sale add space on the back of shirts to local Business'. The adds paid me for the shirts. The school got free shirts to pass out free at the games during half time. The locals loved the shirts. The Business' got to help and get their name on the shirts . This was a win win project and all was happy. .... JB
