Britney Spears More Popular than Barack Obama: Internet Search Data

Barack Obama will make history by becoming the first black US president, but in the world of internet search he trails the singer, Britney Spears.

Of the billions of searches carried out on the portal, Yahoo.com, over the last year, Mr Obama was third behind Spears and World Wrestling Entertainment.

Mr Obama was, however, the most searched-for politician during 2008.

The subjects of the most sought-after news stories were hurricanes, Caylee and Casey Anthony, and election 2008.

"Every day, people turn to the web to learn more about the world around them," said Yahoo's Web Life editor, Heather Cabot.

"Their searches reveal which news events, personalities and issues made an impact in 2008. This year people were captivated by the historic US presidential election and Olympic triumphs."

wa kaayoy mo-search ni obama oroy sa net nga perte na man niya ka-popular sa TV...CNN, Fox, ABC, ug uban pa...halus kada-oras mogawas ni iyang nawong sa TV...labi na karon nga gabantay ni sila sa iyang mga announcements para sa iyang  transition government.

In my whole life I haven't tried once to browse in the internet the whereabouts of Britney Spears. I heard her songs aired over FM radios and even seen her on MTVs several times. But browsing her name in the internet just never took my mind not until I read this thread. Just for curiousity, I dared did it to find out a bit of a clue why this celebrity took the number one spot as the most search after persona in the internet over Barrack Obama. After playing her video in the web page, I was really stunned by her beautiful body! Her sexy and gyrating body moves while dancing every beat of her music were so sexually inviting and arousing to every lustful soul living on this material planet. No doubt, those millions of browsers and internet addicts are sexual fanatics! I regreted I was one of them!

i have kept a copy of britney spear's picture that was downloaded from the internet in 2006 or was it 2007 that showed her sitting in a back seat of a car with her legs spread wide enough to show her shaved pussy. anybody interested? :-)

that is because most of the internet users are of britney spears generation.
a big percentage who knows obama are rather too busy for surfing, or are already contented on what they see and hear from the media.
