Scenes from the campaign trail in PA: "Look at all that hair!"

A friend of mine e-mailed this to me yesterday, and it’s had me glowing ever since. Her close family friend, Stephanie, lives in Montgomery County, PA, and met Obama on Wednesday in a local ShopRite. In her words:

Me and [my daughter] met Barack Obama in Shop Rite in East Norriston today!  We shook his hand. I told him [my daughter] was half African like him.  He touched her hair and said 'look at all that hair!' On the way home I was calling my brother telling him about it and my daughter started shouting MOMMY.  I asked what she wanted and she said, "I saw Barack Obama."  It was so very cute!!   I couldn't stop laughing!  I came right home and video taped her talking about it!

This adorable little angel is 1/2 Liberian, 1/4 Italian and the other quarter is “mismashed European.” Stephanie and her daughter demonstrate that embodiment of the American dream that is really living inside of every American. We just need a President who can bring it out.
