Microsoft's Tellme Cool BlackBerry voice search
April 23, 2008
Microsoft's Tellme launched an application for the BlackBerry that lets you speak commands into the BlackBerry phones to search for businesses, check movie times and make other queries. You simply download the program and then push on their phone's green "talk" button and say either the name of a business, type of business, or the keywords "movies" "traffic" "map", "driving directions", or "weather".
It also features GPS integration. Using GPS, the application figures out where you are and gives you nearby results using Microsoft's Live Search. The results are sent to the smart phone's screen along with links to call, get directions, buy movie tickets etc.
