The Debut of the Short Hair

Warning: You can read this post in two aspects, with or without sarcasm. It goes well both ways. :P

It goes like this: after months and months of putting off this haircut (I was scared out of my wits), I finally had it done last Sunday. I still hate my hair right now, mainly because I’m still in the withdrawal period and I haven’t had short hair since 9th grade and a hairstyle this short since the 6th so go figure, major change in my life. I just really needed “THE BIG CHOP” because I started to feel that it was getting in the way of my life (*cue drama song*). The split ends were crazy, I was lazy to take care of the ends, it got hot, and I always had this habit of touching it like a bitch and constantly smelling the ends (I looked like someone you didn’t wanna be friends with–as much as I like that first impression, even I was getting irritated).

Before I present you the visual aids of my shorter-er hair, I would just like to commemorate this big impact in my life with posting a picture of my last drunken night as a long-haired.

I made the most out of my last days as a long-haired girl. Truthfully I miss it, let’s just say if I were a guy it feels like I had just been castrated. But I’ve always admired ladies with short hair who can still pull it off looking “mayjah” hot. Like Victoria Beckham and Natalie Portman.. lovelovelove. After my hair was done I actually made a fool out of myself in the salon crying my eyes out, I just couldn’t stop the tears. Good thing bff and mom were there to console me plus those salon gays and women were really nice, they said they understood the perils of losing almost half of your crowing glory (how ironic).

Yesh, so here’s the short-haired me nao.

PHAIL.

It feels weird because I don’t have to flip my hair when it’s getting in the way of my shoulder, or flip it backwards after I put on a shirt, the amount of shampoo and conditioner I save and the amount of hair washing time I save. I’m just beginning to really get used to it. Now I just have to wait for it to grow. Haw-haw.

Okay…Gotta be careful with my words. I know how girls can get with their hair and what not. LOL!

I kinda think women with really short hair look cool as well as hot. But, I think you could’ve cut it shorter. kinda punked it out but still keeping it feminine. I’m sure you could’ve pulled it off. But I do realize how hard it is for you to cut it and I know you would have bawled your eyes out if you did cut it that short.

Okay, I really should mind my own business. For what it’s worth, you still look great! :D

You look mature with your new hairstyle.

Meanwhile, my Mom’s scolding me for having a long hair (masculine long, not the feminine definition of “long”).

I just realized tonight that someone can be really emotional after losing almost half of his/her crowing glory. Whaa.

I’ve cried after a haircut so I kinda have an idea of what it’s like. At least short hair is hot right now. :)
