Jonas Brothers, 'Gossip Girl' Dominate Teen Choice Awards
Singing siblings, 'Gossip Girl' win six awards apiece at Miley Cyrus-hosted ceremony
Miley Cyrus hosted the event at Universal Studios' Gibson Amphitheater.
FOX will broadcast the Teen Choice Awards on Monday night, so it might be best to stop reading if you want to remain unspoiled by the results culled from approximately 32 million online votes.
The CW's "Gossip Girl" swooped up its half-dozen trophies by dominating the TV category. Not only did "Gossip Girl" win for Choice TV Show: Drama and Choice TV: Breakout Show, but it won for Choice TV Actress: Drama ( Blake Lively), Choice TV: Breakout Star Female (Lively, again), Choice TV: Breakout Male Star (Chase Crawford), Choice TV: Villain ( Ed Westwick).
The Jonas Brothers were similarly dominant on the music side, winning for single, breakout group, love song and summer song. The brothers Jonas were also collective winners of Choice Male Hottie and Choice Red Carpet Fashion Icon Male.
The awards were more evenly distributed on the movie side, but it would be hard to dispute Will Smith as the category's big winner. Not only did "I Am Legend" and " Hancock" take home overall movie awards, but Smith was named Choice Movie Actor Horror/Thriller. Also collecting multiple surfboards on the movie side was Ellen Page, who won for comedy actress and breakout actress for "Juno," which was named Choice Movie: Comedy to boot.
