According to Macworld Apple today confirmed that its Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC), held 9-13 June 2008 in San Francisco, has sold out for the first time in the history of the event.

“Response to this year’s WWDC has been off the charts and we are delighted with the show of enthusiasm and support from the developer community for the new iPhone SDK,” Apple spokesman Bill Evans told Macworld. “The conference is now sold out. For those unable to attend WWDC, session videos will be available to purchase on iTunes shortly after the conference.”

A small graphic on the WWDC Web site confirms the news.

This year’s event will feature tracks on writing applications for the iPhone and the newly released iPhone SDK will be a hot topic of discussion. WWDC’08 will also feature in-depth sessions and hands-on labs with the iPhone SDK and the App Store.

Does this mean that there will scalpers selling tickets outside the event?
