Unlike previous (blurry) pictures of the new MacBooks, there’s a new video of Tuesday’s upcoming MacBook revision. It’s very clear in spots and, if real, provides new angles at the unannounced machine.

The video (”New Aluminum MacBook Ver. 1“) clocks in at about 2 minutes and takes you panning around the edges of the machine to the tune of Feist’s 1 2 3 4).

In the video the keyboard is covered by a piece of paper, presumably to hide clues that could tie the video back to the source. The glossy white bezel indicates that it’s the white version of the machine, which is fabricated from two separate pieces counter to the “brick” rumors.

The power button appears to be glossy silver and not the brushed aluminum that is on the current MBP. At 00:41 you can see the trackpad which is identical to the trackpad on the MacBook Air. Also identical is the MBA-style notch under the trackpad which skeptics would say is edited footage from that machine.

At about the 00:52 mark, as your panning up the left side you can see an unassembled panel (pictured, above left) that appears to be the bottom shell from another machine. It is also almost identical to the bottom casing of the MBA, right down to the hinge notch, rubber foot, vents and screw holes. This also debunks the theory that it’s made from a brick of aluminum.

Real or fake?

I think the Brick is the new lcd Apple TV. Do you remember an old skit from the 80's about throwing a brick at the TV because the programming was so bad? I think that Apple is playing on that imagery and the new Apple TV is the "brick".... (Read the rest)
