Help with Vista SP1

from Windows Tips and Tricks

Microsoft is offering free help for Vista service pack 1 problems at this link. The site says:

Free unlimited installation and compatibility support is available for Windows Vista, but only for Service Pack 1 (SP1). This support for SP1 is valid until March 18, 2009. Chat and e-mail support is available only in the United States and Canada.

Some issues may require more advanced support for which there is a charge.

I don’t know what will be defined as “more advanced support”. Several places elsewhere the page says, “No-charge: Unlimited support requests”. Anyway, support is offered through email, chat, or telephone. In case you install Vista SP1 and it kills your Internet connection, you might note this telephone number, (866) 234-6020 for future reference.

Via the PC Doctor.
