My Company - Zy Consulting
So, I’ve been workin’ on my company’s website AND location this past few days.
First, my website: www.zyconsulting.com let me know what you think! I’m going to start networking, joining the chamber of commerce, advertising etc. and I thought I’d better have a website! It’s a company site runnin’ on Wordpress. Hey, it works!
So, next is another super UBER excitement - I am leasing an office for my company! No more home office for me. My husband and I shared an office in a local city until I had a seizure and they took my license. argh - but I’ve been driving now since February and no issues, so it’s time to move into my own office and look professional.
Meanwhile, I got the lease tonight and read through - ’cause that’s what I do. I read legal docs… I’m an accountant, what can I say?
Low and behold, on line 12 -

I emailed back and said I would look at it in the morning, but that #12 caught my eye and gave me a good laugh.
Herumph.
The landlord is actually leasing me an office in his own building. They are a mortgage firm and well, they have an extra office. He’s a kick. Great sense of humor as you can see!
If you do check out my company’s site let me know what you think!
Love and Light,
Monica

Nice site. I’ll check back and see how it’s going.
I enjoyed this post - I have to remember to add something like that when I’m writing contracts or RFP’s - Consultant must buy me a coffee, or something like that.

Monica, Very nice, clean site! If you don’t mind, I’d like to share one suggestion.
For a contact page on my business site, I went with a free service that allows me to easily create a custom javascript form that collects information and routes it to my email address while protecting me from spam through image verification. I added it a week ago and have already gotten my first order through it! I can’t remember how I came across this particular service, and I know others are out there as well, but I can tell you these guys made it very easy!
You can check it out my use of it via URL below.

@chelle: I cannot wait to move in! It’s on a corner of a busy street, although I don’t do walk-ins…. not my type of business.
Maybe I could put up a sign though. It’s a huge corner office!

@Bryan: Bryan! I love you for listing to my funky jingle. LOL Who says accountants don’t have a sense of humor!

@Brenda: You are so awesome! I have cForms as a plugin but cannot figure it out!~
I’m gonna go there right away! I love your site!

omg, I love it. Can you redesign my blog for my company?
September 28th, 2008 at 5:42 am
Cool beans and Rock on!! Gotta love the entrepreneurial spirit in women. Enjoy the networking experience. Do you have your 30-second and 1-minute “elevator” commercial firmly fixed in your mind? That was the scariest part for me in the beginning.
I attended one network meeting where the featured speaker was a marketing expert and he talked all about our 30-sec/1-min vocal ad spot. I changed mine according to his recommendations and it works!

Hi Monica,
I checked out your site
Best of Luck with the new office.
If I may give a comment, I would put more about what you do on the main page Just my thoughts and again Best of Luck.

Hey doll, love your consulting site
I also love the jingle you came up with for your company! It’s pretty awesome! lol
OT question: how do you get your blog to ignore your comments (in the count)?
September 30th, 2008 at 9:37 am
@fragileheart: OMgoodness I cannot find out how to do that! goodness, good question - for some reason I actually thought my login wasn’t counted, but I don’t see that anywhere!
Thanks for the compliment on my site… so glad you liked the jingle. I kinda had fun with that one! Not professional, just a whole lotta fun!

@Sami: Thank you Sami! I’m a bit stuck on putting more information on the front page. I do so many things.
I’m working on it though! My main should at least be on there.
Thanks for lookin!

@Julie:
Certainly lady. Would love to!

@Hilary: I don’t have it! I’m workin’ on it because he’s very clear I have to do a 60 second intro. ACK! That’s my scary part to be sure!
