ZardozZ: Using Blog Rings To Increase Site Traffic
Here is a little deviation from our usual stream of News and Satire consciousness based on a request from one of our readers [Hat Tip: skyhawk8] She wanted to know how to stimulate some traffic to her new blog without spending a small fortune with Google?
So let’s give this a try… Promoting your site at virtually no cost can be as simple as listing it in a well populated actively managed blog-ring. The only real cost is a few minutes of your time adding the ring’s HTML Code to your site’s template sidebars. Here is a reprint of one of our pages that explains some of the unique aspects of the particular blog-ring service we use. We currently have (at the time of this posting) over 230+ sites in the ring making it one of the largest blog rings on the RingSurf network you can submit your blog to. In addition, it uses a set of graphic icons residing on our server for navigation that our members have really liked. No need to host these images yourself either! (The code can be modified to also display text to conform to your site’s theme if you prefer text - the default in most other web-rings.) There are no banners, pop-ups or ads … just a cost effective mutual site traffic exchange based on a communal concept that’s easy and very simple.

What is ZZ OpenRing and how does it work?
The ZZ OpenRing® is a “blogring” whose editors manually screen active websites for inclusion in the ZZ OpenRing - Ring Surf System. The ring navigation bar below, which you may have seen on a number of sites and blogs, can be easily displayed and activated on your site by simply placing our free HTML code in your site’s template after simple registration and content verification:

Our free open ring system is designed to both increase and promote mutual cross site traffic without any cost to you! How is that possible? What’s the catch? Well we as we said we manually screen submissions and select only well written active and frequently updated sites in order to maximize mutual traffic exchange within the “ring”. We approve only non-commercial sites focusing on topics related, but not limited to:

| - Political Commentary & Satirical Cartooning | |
| - Personal and Community Blogs - Reflecting the Full Political Spectrum | |
| - Current World or Regional Events - Serious and the not so serious! | |

100% Free Site Exposure — No Fees or Charges Ever — Just mutual URL Traffic Exchange Only !!!
We generate a user coded, unique, HTML snippet (blogring icons above) for you to place in the margins of your site. If your site is accepted, it will then be activated and your new visitor traffic will begin to flow to your page immediately! No fees or charges ever!!
IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ — INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
When you register your site in the OpenRing, the necessary freeware code will be displayed. You must cut and paste it onto your site’s HTML template for it to work properly! (id=***SITE ID***); replace it to read id=YourID#; (e.g. id=234; ) Make sure the id number is between the = and ; no spaces just your id number!. Bloggers… Do not post it as a blog post! That won’t work! Edit your template and place it in your left or right sidebar and at the top of your page before your posts, but not as a post itself! It can be placed in multiple locations. Your site will then be reviewed, usually within 24 hours. If your site is approved, your site ID will then be activated. Until then it remains in a queue. It is important that your site ID is correct, and matches the web address URL you submitted in your application! Click Here to get a site ID# . More Information…
