Public Campaign Funding Promise Just More Words
Here are five cartoons that sums it up nicely. Why do we believe this guy is just more of the same? Could it be that his actions are speaking contrary to his words? That’s a pre-requisite for sameness not change so yes, he is in good company will all the other beltway boys. What he is changing is the color of the wool he’s trying to pull over the publics eyes.
So just where exactly is all this so called change???

John McCain flip-flops on basically every public pronouncement he has made since leaving te military for public life, including his past stands on government fiscal responsibility and the National Debt, the environment, campaign finance reform, torture, GI Bill of Rights, tax cuts, the War in Iraq, President Bush’s fitness as a human being in general and to be Commander In Chief in particular, the Religious Rights alleged sanity and a host of other things. The press yawns. Obama discovers gold on the internet, makes a sound fiduciary decision based on that discovery, and is pilloried.
President Bush launches an illegal war of aggression based on his own lies, indulges in detention of innocents and allows illegal torture of detainees (many since proven innocent) and oversees a mammoth illegal wiretapping spying campaign on Americans and these crimes are largely ignored. I go five miles an hour over the speed limit and get a $50 fine.
Why is there one set of criteria and standards for rich, white, old, Republican men and an another one entirely for the rest of us? Wake up, buddy–you may have your guns and flags and angry Christian God, but you’re next. You don’t seriously think the rich,, old Republican white men are going to let you in the power club, do you? HA!
