Obama Admits Addiction
Scott Ott uncovers the fact that Obama himself suffers from the same addiction that he claims have taken over the willpower of his fellow American citizens. Just when you thought he was above the blind weakness of the common citizen, we now learn this!
(MICHIGAN) — Democrat presidential hopeful Sen. Barack Obama, just hours after accusing his fellow citizens of being addicted to oil, admitted he has suffered the same condition since his teenage years.
“I confess that I frequently abused petroleum-based products,” said the contrite candidate, recalling that even at age 16 he sometimes drained 75 liters of a refined form of the controlled substance in a single week.
“Even now, I struggle, and it’s one day at a time,” said Sen. Obama, noting that “during a recent overseas jet fuel binge, thousands of dollars of the stuff just went up in smoke. I was seeing those trails, dude, and I thought, ‘That ain’t right. Barry you need help’.”
Unveiling his new energy proposal today in Michigan, Sen. Obama said when he’s president, generous coverage for victims of oil addiction will be part of his universal health care program. He added that he plans to set an example by checking himself into a 30-day public transit program for treatment.
“We can’t drill our way out of this crisis,” he said. “The first step is to admit you have a problem that you’re helpless to solve, and that you need to turn your life over to the care of a higher power who can pass legislation and levy taxes.” — as reported by satirist Scott Ott / ScrappleFace
Satire yes, but how soon do you think it will be before Obama does an about face on off-shore deep sea drilling as done in the North Sea as well as on-shore ANWR drilling and enhanced existing well extraction techniques? Seems only the Republicans are willing to listen and debate, albeit in the dark, what the majority of Americans are asking and wondering every day. Why do we continue to keep ourselves enslaved and overly dependent on Middle Eastern and foreign oil when we have seriously large untapped reserves in our own country? Oil exploration advances have made milestone technological improvements regarding safety and the environment over the past 30 years. Katrina hit the Gulf full force and not one drop of oil was spilled. To add insult to injury, China and other countries may be granted permits to drill off the shores of Cuba just miles from Florida and our lame brained congressmen play party politics! We are becoming the laughing stock of the world demonstrating not the power of a free democracy, but its worst flaws of inaction and partisan bickering at the expense of its citizens thanks to a two party system that’s in need of a serious overhaul.
Obama feels his fellow Americans need to sacrifice as penance for their excesses. He wants us all to pay for what he believes is our sins of over consumption by making even more sacrifices. He would have us feel guilty when every country on the planet has sought to achieve our quality of life in the last 30 years that we have come to cherish and take for granted. He doesn’t call for the expansion of recovering our own natural resources using new modern safe technology nor does he set a vision and challenge for the “evil” big oil companies to develop even more effective and safe oil recovery right here in the U. S. of A. Instead he continues to chant the mantra of the radical left, pretty soon have us all live on communes, eating only vegetables, and while hugging every tree that we come across we can feel good about remaining hostage to foreign nations for our energy needs - since we the repentant are saving the planet.
Taking the long view, this issue has now become a MAJOR national security strategic issue regardless of what the price of oil does between now and November. Obama says keep your tires inflated and conserve rather than agree that we need to manage the resources we are blessed with here at home — the quilt ridden conserve till you drop mentality — but we suspect he will flip on this one too before November. He is already showing signs of cracking and backpedaling… afterall he is the master of CHANGE.

After 2 years of running for office, Obama still doesn’t have two good ideas to rub together. He’s all slogans and empty platitudes. And when his lame ideas are shown for what they are, he just makes believe he never offered them, and starts offering us McCain’s ideas.
He’s a nightmare! He and Nancy…two disasters. Anyone who would vote for Obama after suffering 2 years of Nancy as Speaker, hasn’t been paying attention…but they HAVE bee paying….at the pump, in higher food costs, in losses in the stock market, and in higher fees for services. Thanks, Nancy. I think we’ve had way more than enough of your kind of help. Bu-bye!

Yes Joyce…. she turns out the lights in Congress, and if they try hard enough they will turn off the lights in our homes too. I heard some of the transcripts of the disgraceful display when she forced the recess and turned off the C SPAN cameras rather then let the people hear an open debate, you would think we are living in Stalinist Russia. This is the CHANGE that Obama wants to bring America.
