Can you tell us a bit more of what’s happening in Teferi’s Reproach? I imagine its taking place in the Second Brother’s War like how Teferi’s Protection is phasing Zhalfir out during the Phyrexian Invasion. It looks like Teferi is surrounded by Keldon warriors. Did Teferi phase out the nation of Keld in the Second Brother’s War?

The idea is that it’s a reverse Teferi’s Protection, but as for what’s actually happening, your guess is as good as mine.

The revealed pages from “Mage of Zhalfir” depict Teferi as a young man who drinks wine, but we know that he’s been admitted to the academy as a boy. So, WotC and Dark Horse are rewritting canon, or is the comic non-canon, or is it just the “unreliable narrator” thing?

The comic shows Quint going into the Bibliplex and opening up a book to read about that era, so it’s easy to assume this is the book’s version of events.

It seems like Emrakul and Jadzi believe the Theorist’s plan will do something, and was not just madness and illusions. Therefore, what plane is Echo!Koth from if Echo!Mirrodin is lifeless? Or how was the Theorist planning to overlay two Mirrodins onto Zhalfar?

I’ve been thinking, since in the original Innistrad white was isolated from the other colors and humans were vulnerable to the undead, so Echoverse!Avacyn solves this problem? Her church sanctifies the undead, so the humans in her Innistrad embraced the darkness

The core of Echo Avacyn is that it flips the script on her promise.

Multiverse Avacyn promised the Blessed Sleep, that you can rest in death and not be turned into a zombie or a geist.

Echo Avacyn, of course, does the opposite.

Reading the “legends of” article, Edgar’s entry says “…even after Edgar’s recent failed wedding/power grab…”. Wasn’t it Olivia making the power grab, by attempting to wed Edgar more or less against his will, or am I misremembering the Crimson Vow story?

How do the different planes see vampires and the ethics of their feeding are planes with more civilized vampires like Kirol have ways to feed that are considered ethical?

Arcavios is an outlier where they’re generally accepted. More ethical vampires on other planes can be accepted (Zendikar, for instance). We don’t know enough about how Capenna vampires work to say how they function in society but they seem normalized. Ravnica it depends on what role in society they are. On Ixalan people have to suffer them, and some accept them in Dusk Legion society.

Do dragons exist in the Echoverse, or have they all been replaced by the Ur-Sphinx and its spawn?

Do you think there’s an echo of Jace? If the Echoverse is just a copy of the main multiverse without Eldrazi, Bolas, or Phyrexia I’d imagine there would be. In the set structure Tam is treated as Jace’s counterpart for the mirrored pairs, but she wasn’t the Echoverse’s Beleren, just the first of many parts of our Jace that were cut out and given form. It was implied that Jace might have made some smaller manual changes beyond the big three but it would feel weird if one of those was just erasing himself. I could see erasing Alhammarret though, maybe echo Jace is just a budding mind-mage who never sparked or left Vryn. I still would’ve liked to see him in the set though.

In the Legends of Reality Fracture article it says that Loot’s species is unknown, but Jace referred to him at one point as “the Fomori” in episode 6 of the Dragonstorm story. Was Jace just making an assumption there?

Loot creature type "Beast", and the other Fomori we've seen are creature type "Giant". Loot was found in a Fomori Vault, however, and Jace has every reason to think Loot is one, but they don't share creature types and there's some notable differences between 2-3 we've seen and Loot, even if Loot is perhaps just a juvenile Fomori.

The answer is that Jace created her and this is how she came out. She’s clearly meant to straddle the line between human and gorgon, and not really meant to be a specific gorgon type from a specific plane.

I guess this isn’t much of a lore question, but do you think Tam, Sanar, Lluwen, Kirol, and Abigale could be a sort of “reboot” of the Lorwyn five? Five planeswalkers that were randomly in the first set vs five students who randomly fell into the plane (well, four plus the one they brought home with them). Reality Fracture brought the Lorwyn five together for one big confrontation that ended in Jace’s sort of reincarnation into Tam, which could be a passing of the torch from one set of five to another.

The Strixhaven Students will probably be important in an eventual Strixhaven 3 but I don't think they'll have a the same level of story importance as the Lorwyn Five (save Tam, obviously).

Now that Daxos is resurrected, how about the relationship with Elspeth? I would love to see them together. A joy to her, for once

Hi, Jay. I know that looks pretty childish, but it’s still funny to me and I think many fans are interested to that. Can you guess a power tier list for planeswalker post-mending with examples? For the most famous at least, like Liliana before great pouring, Jace, Chandra, Nissa, Elspeth, Ajani, Ugin, Jaya, Sorin, Nahiri, Kiora, Oko, Garruk, Bolas, Teferi, Karn, Ob Nixilis etc. In terms of capabilities on 1 vs 1 and on what it depends that ranking, If you can say that

Power scaling can be fun as long as you don't go too hard on it. Now, there's no such thing as a true ranking because of character personalities, and power set match-ups. For instance: does escaping a fight count as power? If so, Teferi ranks much higher.
