Tonight at 9:30pm #moopmovie is having its world premiere at the #oldenburgfilmfestival and me and the team will be arriving to the theater on #electricskateboards (as long as we don’t get ticketed on the way). #Germanlaw is behind #Switzerland, #Singapore and #California at making these eco transportation options allowed in the bike lane. To be fair they mote than make up for it in fully embracing bikes and leaving their cars at home weeks at a time. But this new form factor of a board with electric wheels has its appeal to many people so i hope it can be embraced here. I met the mayor of Oldenburg last night at te opening party and explained all of this. He gave me his email address. Maybe Oldenburg can lead the way.

In #Stuttgart Germany I attended the #CompositesExpo yesterday. Composites are just cool combinations of materials that make things lighter stronger and sometimes have a lower carbon footprint. Potentially a negative carbon footprint however that hasn’t taken off yet. I showed several prototype skateboard board decks to the awesome companies that were on display and there is the potential for future collaborations. Was well worth the red eye and flight followed by a red eye train to where I’m now at. (In the map everything in Germany looks so close!) The highlight was slide number two in this set where you see a curved piece. A year ago I searched everywhere for a company who could do that. Now they are interested in collaboration. #MOOPmovie is an official selection of the Oldenburg film festival. AKA the coolest European festival I’ve ever been to. Except #Cannes which is not really a fair comparison because… well I think of Cannes as the mothership and every other festival is a satellite of the mothership. But also, on one level every film festival is the same. Please do your own calculations and research and let me know if you know either 1000 people who each have a million dollars or if you know 2 billion people who each have 1 dollar or any combination there of. The only pre prerequisites are that they must have a method of transferring funds, there must be an organization we can trust with these funds to do what they say they will do to fight these fires and these donors must care about the survival of the human race as a large population species rather than a tiny population in underground bunkers. People who prefer a few bunkers under ground and earth surface space suits can obviously ignore this post and carry on with your normal daily activities as if nothing is happening.

If half of earths population that has a bank account donated 1 dollar per year we could build an international #amazon #fire fighters alliance with 20 heavy lift helicopters and 4000 steal fire resistant cargo containers added to the fleet annually. If successful at stopping the 1 percent loss annually of the Amazon then that 1 dollar would have been better spent on this than any competing sequestration technology we have today. My Replacement remote control seems to be my best selling item on my Etsy store! 😂 Kind of embarrassing because making that available took me about 10 seconds and it’s been years of development for everything else I am much more passionate about. I guess many of the other #electricskateboard companies that use this universal remote didn’t realize it’s a very lost prone item that renders an expensive skateboard useless. I figured why not give people what they might need. Now it’s helping me finance these next bigger steps. It is a standard part many factories make and can very simply be paired with any compatible board. But mine is a little different because I stylized it in a unique way which is actually safer. And easier to use in the dark because the buttons are sliver. And it has #reflectors. So in traffic at night I will put my hand out using the units reflectors to insure that I am seen. #skateboardRemote #replacement #remote #replacementremote And it comes with the #eboardAir. And works to accelerate, break or go in reverse. If the board has lights it can turn them on by holding the “reverse” button. It’s connection is incredibly reliable. Its tiny. And once you ride with it for a while it feels like telepathic control of the motors. To find out if your board works with this hold your boards power button for 5 seconds. If a light starts blinking then it’s ready to pair and you know this remote will work. (Order from link on my profile)

#Vegan food can be a little tricky to find and expensive and require a conventional schedule with some pretty far trips and online special orders. Well all of those statements are not true if you consider #711 as an unlikely resource. Even if it’s your exclusive regular resource. If you want to improve your vegan food experience and for whatever reason can’t cook because of lack of knowledge or living situation then I recommend trying to find the least processed and highest protein/dollar count with as little transportation footprint as possible. And search 711 on google maps and at least anywhere I’ve been in #california or #china recently they are always a 5 minute #eBoard ride away max. The back of everything has the protein spelled out. And you can just do the math. On this 12 dollar shopping spree is 2 days worth of protein. Or 1 day or less if you want to do an intense body building workout. And those beans are plastic free packaging. I personally would restructure 711 to have like the #wholefoods #eco shelf or something like that where they explain the #climatecrisis on an in-store display above and offer a shelf of #petroleum-free-packaging and #carbon #offset vegan products. And no dairy isolates either people. That’s not vegan or dairy free. I also would offer #salt-free options and #no-added-sugar options. So it’s far from perfect but you can live vegan for 6 dollars a day plus some extra grazing budget for some carrots and basically as many vegetables as you can stomach/afford/find/grow. And maybe a food quality multi-vitamin for good measure. That will be around 1 dollar a day. (And probably shouldn’t be bought at #7-eleven but technically they do even sell vitamins there.)

I donated an electric #skateboard to #ashramgalactica for tonight’s raffle to help them raise money for their upcoming amazingness on the #playa. They are heavily featured in #moop as one of our primary shooting locations for some key scenes and they were amazingly kind and commission from day one. #gretathunberg has more or less spelled this all out but I’ll put the solutions in my own words here. 1. Just go vegan for 18 months until all of this blows over. Bean and brown rice burritos create PBMs so that trade off will make you feel slightly better. Be a hipster-hippy and load up at farmers markets nearby or use a bike basket to load up at the nearest grocery store. #Debaucherous #indulgence can resume in 18 months. #Vegan restaurants exist if you’re away from home but don’t kid yourself and over pay for conceptual food. Just let food be kind of a functional thing for now. And just add salsa to everything. Maybe improve your sex life to make like a trade off and to keep life flavorful. 2. Just turn off your car insurance and keep the car with a full tank in your driveway In case of fire, evacuations or pregnancy labor. Get a bike on @facebook marketplace. Or hail a @lyft who has promised they #offset all their rides. 3. #noflights. Just vacation where you can get to via #bike. Try camping in a park or something questionably legal and maybe dangerous. Any decent vacation should be able to make those two claims anyway. Take an 18 month break from being exotic. Or if the flight will help fight the #climatecrisis or a family member has a funeral or something then carbon #offset the flight for like $40 via a service that plants trees. No big deal. 4. If you can’t #ebike to work it’s too far. Tell your boss you have to work from home or else you quit. If they fire you just get a crappy temporary job at a local Starbucks or something. It’s just proof your role wasn’t that important anyway. 5. Be a nudist at home. Cuts your laundry Bill in half and reduces AC. Use underwear to not be fully nude if that’s an issue. Hand wash that in the sink and hang dry. 6. Get a solar charger for your phone off @amazon and pull the plug on your house. It’s crazy but really. Just shut off the power. Tv, toaster, blender, all of that will just be a paper weight but keep it until a future date when the grid becomes clean. Try that for a week. And if you’re totally screwed turn some of it back on. But try to keep most of it off for 18 months.

Friday August 2nd 5pm. Bring wheels. 🛴 🛵 🛹 🚲 we are doing a group ride from Barnsdall art park in #hollywood to @arenacinelounge. We are going to stop by @Netflix on sunset blvd and nicely ask that they carbon offset every future production. And that they put a slate at the start of each program to let audiences know they have done this. And then we will arrive at @arenacinelounge at 6:30pm to greet some cameras and talk about how creating such engaging entertainment runs the risk of allowing us to put our heads in the sand while this planet shakes humanity off its back like a dog getting rid of fleas. #indiefilm
