Set at the fictional Walton University, Roommates was entirely filmed in New Jersey.

The teen comedy stars Adam Sandler's daughter, Sadie, and Chloe East as college freshmen, exploring the absurdity of campus first-year life through parties, hangovers, and escalating roommate tensions.

Walton University in Roommates

The real Walton University is an amalgam of various locations in New Jersey.

Roommates opens with an establishing shot of Johnson Hall, a key building on the Johnson & Johnson World Headquarters campus, adjacent to Rutgers University in New Brunswick.

Serving corporate functions, this elegant building is crowned by a monumental 30-foot-tall cupola clock tower.

However, many exteriors at Walton University were filmed at Drew University in Madison, located 25 miles west of New York City.

Founded in 1867, its serene 186-acre wooded campus, dubbed the "University in the Forest," occupies the former Gibbons estate, blending Greek Revival, Gothic, and neoclassical architecture amid suburban Morris County greenery.

The girls stay at Asbury Hall, one of the oldest residence halls at Drew University.

Not sure if the rooms have pink toilets, but the residence hall hosts Drew’s domestic and international students.

The graduation ceremony was filmed at the Montclair High School, New Jersey's oldest continuously operating high school since its 1886 founding.

The school is located in Montclair's vibrant Essex County enclave, split between the main building and the George Inness Annex.

The Frosh Orientation scene looks like it was filmed at the Essex County TreeTop Adventure Course at Turtle Back Zoo in West Orange.

The Roommates house

Devon's family home is a grand single-family Victorian house built in 1887 in Upper Montclair.

Featuring seven bedrooms, high ceilings, turret rooms, and a front porch, the property was last sold for $745K in 2013, with a current estimated value of around $2.2M.

Demarest Hall, built in 1950 on Rutgers University's College Avenue Campus in New Brunswick, served as Addison Hall.

This is a compact co-ed traditional residence hall featured several times in the movie and houses 170 students in singles, doubles, and suites.

The library scene was filmed at the beautiful Gardner A. Sage Library of New Brunswick Theological Seminary on Rutgers' College Avenue Campus.

Housed in a striking Gothic Revival building dubbed the "jewel of the campus," it does not focus on architecture but on theological resources.

Biggies Clam Bar is the real name of the pub where the girls have shots, located in Carlstadt.

This is a family-owned seafood staple since 1946, specializing in fresh clams, oysters, wings, pizzas, burgers, and late-night vibes.

The snow-covered images of the campus were filmed at several locations, mostly using stock footage.

The image pictured is from Drew University. Later on, it appears a shot from the University of Chicago.

The filmmakers also included a snow-blanketed staircase from Hiroshima University in Japan and the building with a bell tower is Eliot House at Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts.

The WaltonCon is held at the Richard Weeks Hall of Engineering, a flagship 106,000 square feet facility on Rutgers University's Busch Campus in Piscataway.

Set in the fictional town of Annieville, South Carolina, Thrash was actually filmed entirely in and around Melbourne, Australia.

The story revolves around a category 5 hurricane called Henry that floods a South Carolina coastal town, unleashing bull sharks on trapped residents, including a pregnant woman and a trio of foster siblings.

Where is Annieville, South Carolina?

In the real world, Annieville is a tiny, rural neighbourhood in Georgetown County, South Carolina, situated about 10–15 miles north of Georgetown and near coastal spots like Pawleys Island, Litchfield Beach, and marshy areas including Marsh Point and Mingo.

In Thrash, the town is an amalgam of various locations in Victoria, Australia.

The McKay's Meats building is the historic John Darling and Son Flour Mill in Albion, Victoria.

Opened in 1922, this red-brick mill complex with prominent silos operated as a major roller flour mill until the 1990s.

After leaving the factory, Lisa (played by Phoebe Dynevor, who starred in Bridgerton) drives across Annieville, SC.

This scene was filmed in the seaside town of Williamstown, a charming suburb about 11 km (7 miles) southwest of Melbourne in Hobsons Bay.

Williamstown was transformed from a neglected industrial port into a trendy village, preserving many beautiful historical buildings.

The scenes on the port with Dale and his oceanic research vessel were filmed at Mornington Pier, on the Mornington Peninsula, about a one-hour drive southeast of Melbourne.

This location has been a fishing hub since around 1850 and was rebuilt after a severe storm in 2017.

The scenes of the flooded town, including the area with the equestrian statue and Raffaella's Pizza and Pasta restaurant, were filmed at the Docklands Studios in Melbourne, in the city's redeveloped Docklands precinct.

Opened in 2004, the studio stands as Victoria's premier film and TV production facility, with six vast sound stages, including a dedicated water stage for aquatic scenes.

Stage 6 boasts a 900,000 L (4.5 m deep) tank, used in Thrash, making it a global draw for underwater blockbusters.

Set about five years after the events of The Handmaid’s Tale, The Testaments was also filmed in and around Toronto, Ontario.

The series follows Agnes, June Osborne’s daughter, played by Chase Infiniti, as she is trained, alongside a new generation of girls, to become an obedient wife in the dystopian Republic of Gilead.

The Testaments house

The MacKenzie home is the Escarpment House, a luxurious 14,000-square-foot estate nestled in the picturesque Pulpit Ridge area of Caledon.

This five-bedroom villa, which boasts a pool, steam room, gym, and theatre room, was also featured in Reacher season 3.

Aunt Lydia's School, the elite Gilead preparatory academy where teen girls are groomed as obedient future Wives, is Chelster Hall in Oakville, on the shores of Lake Ontario.

Completed in 2006, this large estate features 8 bedrooms and 13 bathrooms and blends timeless symmetry, oversized towers, and modern engineering on more than 10 acres.

Marshals locations

The Ontario Mine in Park City was a historic silver mine established in 1872 after Canadian prospectors discovered rich ore outcroppings.

It became one of Park City's most productive operations, yielding millions in silver, lead, and gold until the 1970s, employing hundreds of workers and helping to fuel the town’s boom.

Porter & Co. Haberdashery was filmed in a gift shop called Morgan Mercantile in Morgan, UT, a small town along the Weber River, about 40 miles northeast of Salt Lake City.

Adapting Barbara Taylor Bradford's bestselling novel, A Woman of Substance was filmed in Yorkshire and Liverpool.

The dual-timeline story follows young Emma Harte's forbidden romance (Jessica Reynolds) and her early shop-building in Armley, leading to Harte's department stores.

The narrative is intercut with her facing family threats in 1970s New York, with Brenda Blethyn as the older Emma.

A Woman of Substance locations

The first episode opens with an establishing shot in the streets of 1975 New York.

However, it was filmed near Liverpool's famous waterfront, with St Nicholas' Church next to the Tower Building replaced with a CGI skyscraper.

Harte's department store is the iconic Royal Liver Building on Liverpool's Pier Head waterfront, although the images of the full, tall building are also a digital creation.

Completed in 1911, it was Europe's tallest building at the time and a symbol of Liverpool's global port prosperity.

Today, it is a tourist attraction offering 360-degree views from its observation deck, and houses modern offices and apartments.

The interior is the grand octagonal hall inside the Port of Liverpool Building, another of the Three Graces alongside the Liver Building, the early 20th-century structures on the Pier Head waterfront.

Opened in 1907, this Grade II-listed former Mersey Docks office boasts a prominent dome and a lavish design, making it a great filming location for productions such as Sherlock Holmes.

Emma Harte's office, staircase and corridors were filmed in Barnsley Town Hall in South Yorkshire, with New York’s skyline CGI'd into the scene.

The elegant 1930s classical design features a broad central staircase, Corinthian columns, and spaces for weddings and council meetings.

The A Woman of Substance house

Fairley Hall was filmed at Broughton Hall, now known as Broughton Sanctuary, a historic estate near Skipton, North Yorkshire, owned by the Tempest family since 1097.

Originating from a 14th-century acquisition, the current manor dates to 1597, with major 19th-century remodelling, including the dome-crowned conservatory featured in the series.

The interiors were also filmed at Broughton Hall, which is open for corporate retreats, yoga weekends, weddings, and filming.

With 17 individually styled bedrooms, exclusive-use retreats start from £25,000 for three nights, sleeping up to 32 guests.

Also, the gardens and some service rooms and corridors were filmed at Brodsworth Hall, which features 15 acres of meticulously restored Victorian landscapes near Doncaster in South Yorkshire.

Emma's home in the early 1900s is a shooting lodge on the edge of Keighley Moor in West Yorkshire, located about 12 miles south of Broughton Hall.

The rock formations are the Cow and Calf Rocks on Ilkley Moor, also located in the same area.

This is a popular place for climbing in Yorkshire, with scenic views of the region from the top.

The cave is the Fairy Cave (also known as Calf Hole or Heights Cave), a large limestone chamber on the western slopes above the hamlet of Skirethorns, near Grassington in the Yorkshire Dales.

Excavated in the 1890s, it revealed prehistoric flints, an iron spearhead, antler tools, and ancient animal bones.

Some scenes in Armley were filmed at the The Living Museum of the North, also known as Beamish Museum, an open-air living history museum in County Durham, North East England.

Opened in 1972, the museum recreates life from the 1820s to the 1950s across 300 acres, with authentic buildings, costumed interpreters, trams, and exhibits.

The first Harte's Emporium store is the Annfield Plain Industrial Co-operative Society at Beamish Museum.

The house is the former museum at Thwaite Mills, a water-powered industrial site in Leeds, West Yorkshire.

Leeds City Council ran the complex as a working museum until 2024, with future plans unclear but hoped to respect its heritage.

The factory is Quarry Bank Cotton Mill, one of the best-preserved textile factories from the Industrial Revolution, located in Styal, Cheshire.

Built in 1784, it used water power for cotton spinning and became the UK’s largest such operation by 1832.

Paige takes the cab around the corner on West 28th Street, near the Latham Hotel.

The Washington Heights Women's Center conference was filmed at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, Texas.

Founded in 1892 by local women as part of the Fort Worth Public Library Association, the current Tadao Ando-designed building with raw exposed concrete opened in 2002.

The restaunrant interior in New York in the first episode is the Clay Pigeon, a fine dining restaurant in Fort Worth.

The fishing scenes, with the tall rock walls around the river, look like they may have been filmed at the Gallatin Canyon, stretching along US-191 between Bozeman and Big Sky, with West Yellowstone and Yellowstone National Park nearby to the south.

The clear, wild Gallatin River rushes through this narrow Montana canyon, renowned for world-class trout angling amid pocket water and riffles.

Towering Madison Group limestone cliffs flank the waterway, with the rugged Gallatin Range mountains rising sharply to the east, creating a dramatic, forested backdrop.

The Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport in Belgrade stood for the Idaho Falls Airport.

This is Montana's busiest hub, with commercial flights since 1947, built with a regional Montana-inspired design.

Great show, but I thought it quite funny that the link I clicked on brought me to this location's page, which said the Bozeman airport stood in for the "fictional" Idaho Falls Airport. Obviously, none of these people has ever been to Idaho Falls. We have an airport.

In 1956, a Pacific Great Eastern freight train derailed near Whistler after speeding through a construction area with an overloaded lumber load.

Local loggers failed to remove the damaged cars, which were dragged up the tracks and rolled into the forest, where they remain today, now covered in graffiti art.

Why was the show filmed in Alexandria, VA, and Nashville, Tennessee, when three of the four murders in her first book, Postmortem, happened in Richmond, VA? The real killer was caught, tried, and convicted in Richmond. As a woman who lived in Richmond, the first episode of Scarpetta was more confusing than anything. I hope it gets better, but I was expecting it to be more accurate to the real serial killer case we had.

St. Bartholomew's Independent School was filmed at the site of the Downside Abbey, a historic Benedictine monastery in Stratton-on-the-Fosse, Somerset, England.

Founded in 1607 at Douai and relocated here in 1814, the Gothic Revival church is Grade I listed.

The monastic community dispersed in 2022, with the last monks moving to Belmont Abbey in 2025.

Alan Ritchson (from the Reacher series) stars as "81," a combat engineer and U.S. Army Ranger recruit who is sent on a mission facing an unknown threat after intense training exercises.

The 75th Ranger Regiment training base in Colorado was filmed at RAAF Base Williams in Laverton, near Melbourne, Victoria.

Excess water not needed for power generation spills naturally from the station back into the Roaring Meg Stream, creating a man-made waterfall effect that was CGI-enhanced in the movie to look like a pair of natural waterfalls.

Young Sherlock locations

The Newgate Prison in London in the first episode, "The Case of the Missing Scrolls", was filmed at HM Prison Shepton Mallet in Somerset.

This community hub in Oakdale, Monmouthshire, was a model mining village built in the early 20th century by the Tredegar Iron and Coal Company.

Dismantled brick by brick in 1989, the building was rebuilt at St Fagans National Museum of History in Cardiff and reopened in 1995 to preserve Wales' mining heritage.

Opened in 1912, it closed in the 1930s and spent decades as a warehouse and bazaar.

The establishment was then meticulously restored beginning in 2008 and reopened in 2012, faithfully reviving the original 1912 décor, paintings, and gold-leaf plasterwork.

Although the establishing shot shows the exterior of Gare de l'Est in Paris, the train station scenes were filmed at the Cupola of the Casino de la Exposición in Seville, the grand central dome of a historic 1929 Neobaroque building created for the Ibero-American Exhibition.

The name “Constantinople” was used officially in European languages until the early 20th century, only becoming “Istanbul” in international usage around 1930, when the Turkish government asked foreign governments to switch to the Turkish name.

Where Was Survivor Filmed? The island and the exact locations in Fiji

Now returning for its 50th edition, Survivor was filmed on several small islands in Fiji.

In this edition, called Hands of the Fans, viewers can vote on twists and elements via online polls.

Survivor 50 features 24 returning contestants, all veterans from the previous 49 seasons of the CBS reality show, marking a milestone "all-returnees" cast.

The Survivor Island Location

In the first episode, "Epic Party," the cast and crew are on a boat with a very special location as a backdrop... The Cast Away movie island!

As in the 2000 classic starring Tom Hanks, Monuriki Island is a rocky, uninhabited islet, part of the Mamanuca archipelago, with plenty of coconuts, crabs, and exotic green-crested iguanas.

In this shot, host Jeff Probst is on top of Monuriki Island. However, it is not recommended to climb to the hilltop from the beach, as there is no path and it's quite dangerous.

Maybe you remember the famous Cast Away scene, with Hanks scaling the rocky peak. But the sequence was filmed at a studio in Los Angeles, with CGI added in post-production, so we assume that Probst was placed there via aerial transport.

The white sand triangular beach where the contestants disembark, where several games take place, was filmed on the tiny, uninhabited Yadua Island, positioned roughly 25 miles north of the Mamanuca Islands group.

This spectacular private location was also recently featured in Peacock's Love Island Season 7.

The Vatu Tribe island is also Monuriki Island, but from the opposite side of the island where the movie was filmed (the same spot where tours to the "Tom Hanks Island" land).

Tours cost around $100 to $140, depending on what is included and where you start out.

Kalo and Cila share the same island, Tavua, which has been featured in previous editions of Survivor.

Separated by a dense tropical jungle, Kalo occupies the southeastern shore, whilst Cila is on the northeastern beach.

Nestled amid coral reefs and crystal-clear waters, this idyllic spots are ideal for snorkeling or lounging on its petite white-sand beaches.

The Survivor challenges were filmed on Mana Island, which is quite flat and hosts an airport and a private resort.

This almost one mile-long tropical gem features three white-sand beaches and appeared recently in the second season of Netflix's Beast Games.

The day four game in the first episode was filmed in another location, Monu, an uninhabited scenic island near Monuriki, from the side facing the green hills of Yanuya Island.

Many Mamanuca Islands have remained traditionally uninhabited because of the intense sun and lack of fresh water, but they are now being eyed for eco-luxury resorts thanks to their sensational ocean views and reefs.

Set partially on a Scottish island, Shelter was filmed between Ireland and London.

The action thriller stars Jason Statham as Michael Mason, a former British assassin hiding on a remote Scottish island. Everything changes when he rescues a young girl, Jessie (Bodhi Rae Breathnach), from a deadly storm.

The Shelter island

The establishing shot of the island is Lamb Island, a tiny uninhabited isle in Scotland’s Firth of Forth.

The island was bought by Uri Geller (the famous spoon-bending psychic of the 70s), in 2009 for its mystical ties to Egyptian lore and ancient treasures.

Geller declared it the “Republic of Lamb” micronation in 2022, promoting its legends while preserving its seabird sanctuary status.

But the lighthouse scenes were filmed at Travelahawk Beach, a small, pebbly cove below the Black Castle ruins in Wicklow Town, Ireland.

Local legend claims it is St Patrick’s AD 432 landing site, and it featured as a Viking settlement in the TV series Vikings and Bodkin.

Set primarily in Boston and Rhode Island, apart from some establishing shots, 56 Days was filmed in and around Montreal, Quebec.

Based on Catherine Ryan Howard’s novel, the series starring Dove Cameron (Ciara) and Avan Jogia (Oliver) follows a couple’s intense romance after a murdered body is discovered 56 days following their supermarket meet-cute.

Most of the investigation revolves around The Crossings building in Boston, where Oliver lives in a modern, luxurious apartment.

I was thrilled to hear that 56 Days was filmed in Boston, where I had spent some 25 years, but then I didn’t and couldn’t recognize any of the locations in the series.

After the first show, I looked up, "Where was 56 Days filmed" and saw that most of it was shot in Montréal, where I’ve been living since 2008. I did recognize the Rialto Theatre and Queen Anne building, just 10 minutes down the street from my apartment.

I’ve only watched one episode, but it’s great—and the actors are great!

Set in the fictional town of Knockdara, How to Get to Heaven from Belfast was primarily filmed in Northern Ireland, with additional locations in Ireland, London, and Malta.

The dark comedy-drama created by Lisa McGee, the writer of Derry Girls, follows three estranged childhood friends who reunite in Belfast after the sudden death of a former friend, only to uncover long-buried secrets about their past.

The first scene with Roisin Gallagher as Saoirse in London was filmed at the Seahorse Restaurant, an elegant fine-dining venue located on the second floor of the Grand Central Hotel in central Belfast.

The exterior scene when Saoirse leaves the restaurant was actually filmed in central London by the River Thames, near Blackfriars Bridge.

Belfast City Airport is located close to the city centre. For Dara (played by Caoilfhionn Dunne), the car park was extortionate, so she and Robyn (Sinéad Keenan) wait for Saoirse on nearby industrial land in the Titanic Quarter, with the Samson and Goliath cranes as a backdrop.

From Belfast, the trio heads to Donegal in Ireland, crossing scenic landscapes until the petrol station.

Pictured are the Sliabh Liag sea cliffs in County Donegal, rising nearly 600 metres above the Atlantic Ocean, offering some of the highest and most spectacular coastal views in Europe.

The Knockdara village

The welcome to Knockdara sign (Fáilte go Knockdara) and the panoramic view of the town were filmed in Ardglass, a fishing village on the east coast of County Down, Northern Ireland.

The Elm Manor in Knockdara Village, Co. Donegal, is located near St John’s Point Lighthouse in Killough, County Down, about an hour’s drive south of Belfast.

The St Mary's Christian Brothers' Grammar School in Belfast doubles as the Our Lady of the Sorrows College.

This church is St Patrick’s, a historic Roman Catholic church in the Cathedral Quarter area of Belfast.

Opened in 1877, it was designed in the Gothic Revival style.

St. John's Point Lighthouse is a 19th-century landmark on the east coast of County Down, marking the entrance to Dundrum Bay.

First lit in 1844 and later rebuilt in 1893, it is distinctive for its black-and-yellow banded tower and continues to guide vessels along this stretch of the Irish Sea.

The Calmas Águas Azuis hotel in Portugal, which appears for the first time in the third episode, "The Ghost", is the Salini Resort, overlooking Salina Bay in St Paul’s Bay, Malta.

This 4-star seaside hotel, renovated in 2015 with modern rooms and an infinity pool, has average prices ranging from roughly €80–€180 (£70–£157 GBP) per night.

But in the fourth episode, "The Girl From Sagres", some parts of Calmas Águas Azuis were filmed at the The Westin Dragonara Resort, a luxury 5-star hotel on a private peninsula in St Julian’s, Malta.

With direct access to the Mediterranean and panoramic sea views near the Dragonara Casino, the resort was opened in the late 1990s and extensively refurbished in recent years.

The Titanic Studios in Belfast became internationally famous as the primary production base for Game of Thrones.

Constructed inside former shipbuilding paint halls, the studios have hosted numerous large-scale productions, more recently A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.

The scene pictured was filmed in a point overlooking Murlough Bay, a stunning remote bay on Northern Ireland's Antrim coast between Fair Head and Torr Head.

The Heaven’s Veil (Caille Neamh) area was filmed at the Hidden Village of Galboly, an abandoned rural settlement in the Glens of Antrim.

The village was once a small farming community of stone cottages, but depopulation during the 19th and 20th centuries left it largely deserted, with the last resident remaining there until 2013.

Galboly has been used as a filming location in many productions. The menhir stones and the chapel were film props.

The garage in the last two episodes, where they have a lot of meeting scenes, is located at 82 Ballymiscaw Road in the Craigantlet Hills. It used to be a well-used local garage until it closed a few years ago.

Now back for the fourth season, The Lincoln Lawyer features a lot of interesting filming locations in and around Los Angeles.

The legal drama revolves around Mickey Haller, played by Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, a slick defense attorney who runs his practice out of the back of his Lincoln car while taking on complex and morally risky cases.

La Sureñita Bakery is a real, family-owned Mexican bakery located in Boyle Heights.

Unlike what often happens with this kind of shot, the long drone flight from Downtown LA is totally legit, as there are no cuts in the footage.

Where was Anaconda filmed? The waterfall and all the locations

Based on the 1997 film centered on one of the most feared predators of the Amazon, Anaconda was primarily filmed in Queensland, Australia.

The story follows a group of friends led by wedding videographer Doug McCallister (played by Jack Black), who travel into the jungle to recreate their favorite movie from their youth.

Anaconda locations

While the cult classic creature thriller was largely filmed in the vast Amazon region of Brazil, this time the entire production was shot in Australia.

Some of the jungle scenes were filmed in the Tamborine Mountain area, a scenic hinterland near the Gold Coast, known for its rainforests, waterfalls, and panoramic views.

All the studio work, including Griff’s hospital scenes, was filmed at Village Roadshow Studios, a major film and television production complex on the Gold Coast.

Thanks. I have been trying to get through to people about filming locations. I'm just going to send them here instead of arguing. People have been saying the helicopter CGI is rubbish. My response has been CGI is so good, you haven't noticed this wasn't even filmed on location. Running a movie alongside Google Maps shows you the real differences and actually how good the CGI really is.

Once again, thanks for your work. I was wondering where the big house was.

When you see what was filmed and how it turned out, you should be amazed.

The aerial stunts and spins are real. No, you can't hit a car with your boom and tail rotor, and no, you can't have a helicopter on its nose grinding down its blades before rolling into a tunnel and exploding. People have complained about the "CGI" helicopter, but don't realise the only real things on screen during the chase are the helicopter, cars, bikes, and actors.

Renowned for its restored stone architecture and landscaped grounds, the estate now operates as a luxury event and wedding venue.

The Finding Her Edge house

The beautiful Russo family house is the Woodlands Mansion in Shanty Bay, a historic estate located within Woodlands Park outside Barrie.

Built in 1869 by a timber tycoon, the enormous 38-room Victorian Gothic property sits on 70 acres along the shores of Lake Simcoe.

The current owners have restored the mansion to its original splendor, and it was also featured in the 2024 horror movie Campton Manor.

The interior features a pillared entrance hall and a three-story reception space, centered on a grand staircase beneath a skylight and chandelier featured in the series.

In the aerial shot of the Russo family’s estate by the lake, the rink has been added via CGI effects.

The estate is best known for its association with Arthur Godfrey Peuchen, a Canadian businessman and RMS Titanic survivor, who purchased the property in 1907 and used it as a summer residence.

Wentworth in Finding Her Edge

Apple Annies Cafe is the real name of the hangout where many scenes set in the Wentworth bar were filmed.

The cafe is located in downtown Orillia, a regional tourism hub situated between Lake Couchiching and Lake Simcoe, about 115 km north of Toronto.

Alan Benson’s estate is a large traditional manor house in Clitheroe, Lancashire.

Featuring wooden-panelled hallways and an elegant staircase, the house is available to rent as a filming location.

The Waterside Ewell Hotel is the Oddfellows on The Park, a boutique hotel, restaurant, and bar set in a Victorian mansion overlooking Bruntwood Park in Cheadle.

Built in the mid-19th century, the building retains many of its period features, with rooms typically starting at around £195 per night.

Taking place about 90 years before Game of Thrones, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms was filmed primarily in Northern Ireland.

Based on George R. R. Martin’s Tales of Dunk and Egg books, the series follows the misadventures of Ser Duncan the Tall (Peter Claffey) and his sharp-witted squire, Egg (Dexter Sol Ansell), as they wander through Westeros.

Smaller stakes, fewer dragons… but still plenty of trouble, honour, and the occasional very bad decision — usually involving Dunk’s size or Egg’s mouth.

The A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms tree

In the first episode, "The Hedge Knight", Dunk buries Ser Arlan of Pennytree in the Mourne Mountains in County Down, Northern Ireland.

The scenic twisted tree was a film prop, and the mountain range in the background is Hen Mountain.

At the moment, we don’t yet know where the inn where Dunk meets Egg was filmed, but many interior scenes were shot on sets built at Titanic Studios in Belfast.

Constructed inside former shipbuilding paint halls, the studios became internationally famous as the primary production base for Game of Thrones.

Since then, Titanic Studios has hosted numerous large-scale productions, including How to Train Your Dragon and Dungeons & Dragons.

Ashford in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms

According to Redanian Intelligence, scenes set in the town of Ashford were filmed at Myra Castle, near Downpatrick, County Down.

The castle is located very close to Winterfell Castle and Demesne, the private estate used in GoT Season 1 to film exterior scenes of Winterfell.

Set amid woodland and open countryside, the estate remains privately owned and is not generally open to the public.

The Glenarm Castle estate in Glenarm, County Antrim, was used to film scenes set in the Ashford meadows.

This historic country house and its gardens, dating back to the 17th century, are the ancestral home of the Earls of Antrim.

Parts of the estate are open to visitors, and it was also a filming location for Game of Thrones, used for scenes set in the Riverlands.

The first scenes of the second episode, "Hard Salt Beef", were filmed at the Hidden Village of Galboly, an abandoned rural settlement high in the Glens of Antrim.

The village was once a small farming community of stone cottages, but depopulation during the 19th and 20th centuries left it deserted, with the last resident living there until 2013.

Adapted from the famous crime writer’s 1929 novel The Seven Dials Mystery, the story follows Lady Eileen “Bundle” Brent (played by Mia McKenna-Bruce), a spirited young aristocrat who becomes an amateur sleuth.

Badminton Estate was also used for the exterior of the house in The Gentlemen series, although for Seven Dials, the interiors of Chimneys were also filmed here.

The magnificent Great Staircase, at the heart of the house, and the Great Dining Room, which retains its 18th-century appearance, are featured multiple times in the show.

The Seven Dials locations

Ronnie’s office was filmed at the Chemistry Wing at Cardiff University, part of the Main College complex built in the early 20th century on the Cathays Park campus.

The scene set in Market Basing was filmed on Abbey Green, a small historic square immediately adjacent to Bath Abbey in the centre of Bath.

In the second episode, "Battle Commences", the Cave Shrine of the Virgen de la Cabeza (Ermita rupestre de la Virgen de la Cabeza), located outside Ronda, is featured.

In 1925 London, Bundle and Jimmy (Edward Bluemel) are at the Arnos Vale Cemetery, a historic Victorian garden cemetery located in Bristol.

Established in 1839, it spans more than 45 acres and contains numerous monuments, including the Spielman Centre, which is occasionally used as a wedding venue.

The car chase scene was filmed on Great Pulteney Street in Bath.

Several sections, including the one in which they drive through a vintage Piccadilly Circus, were created using CGI.

The elegant restaurant was filmed at The Ox in Bristol, located in a cellar space beneath a building on Corn Street.

The vaulted underground rooms used by The Ox were formerly basements and cellars used for storage.

The Seven Dials nightclub is the Barrelhouse, a popular live music venue and bar located on Clifton Triangle in Bristol.

Wyvern Abbey

Mr. Lomax’s (Alex Macqueen) estate, Wyvern Abbey, is the Westonbirt House in Gloucestershire.

Originally built in the mid-19th century in a grand Victorian style, the house has been occupied by Westonbirt School, a boarding school, since 1928.

The stunning interiors were also filmed at Westonbirt House, including the ornate hall, which was originally intended as an art gallery when it was built.

Cardiff Crown Court served as the Market Basing Station exterior, from where the train departs.

Opened in 1966, the building was designed in a modernist style and forms part of the city’s civic and legal district.

The tall clock tower across the street is Cardiff City Hall, an imposing Edwardian Baroque building, opened in 1906 after Cardiff gained city status.

The Agatha Christie's Seven Dials train

The train platforms were filmed at Minehead railway station, the terminus of the West Somerset Railway in Somerset.

Preserving many Victorian-era features, the station has served as a key transport link for the coastal town and surrounding area since 1874.

The West Somerset Railway is one of the longest heritage railways in the UK, running as a tourist attraction between Bishops Lydeard and Minehead.

Originally inaugurated in 1862, the line today operates restored steam and diesel trains.

However, this jaw-dropping view, which looks like something out of Miyazaki’s Spirited Away, is from the Barmouth Bridge, spanning the Mawddach Estuary in Gwynedd, Wales.

Commissioned in 1867, the bridge carries the Cambrian Coast Line and includes a pedestrian walkway.

Built primarily of timber with iron elements, it is one of the longest timber viaducts in Britain and a distinctive landmark of the Welsh coast.
