I got to know Dusty at a school we both attended in Hawaii at the end of 2002, beginning of 2003. He was one of my favorite people there, really down to earth and humble, but very smart and capable and always up for anything.

7 years ago, Dusty and his wife, Amy moved from Montana to Casablanca with their kids. Dusty taught math at an international school and is now vice principal at the same school.

We talk about the big move, first impressions, struggles with language and culture, western education in a non-western country, raising kids in a foreign land, and the things Dusty misses about life in the States, as well as advice for people thinking about moving overseas.</itunes:summary><itunes:explicit>no</itunes:explicit><itunes:duration>00:43:24</itunes:duration><itunes:image href="https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5214cdb6e4b09a5d95f2d651/1536594297048-DWB8JYZXT9W14EXYDJBI/ke17ZwdGBToddI8pDm48kLkXF2pIyv_F2eUT9F60jBl7gQa3H78H3Y0txjaiv_0fDoOvxcdMmMKkDsyUqMSsMWxHk725yiiHCCLfrh8O1z4YTzHvnKhyp6Da-NYroOW3ZGjoBKy3azqku80C789l0iyqMbMesKd95J-X4EagrgU9L3Sa3U8cogeb0tjXbfawd0urKshkc5MgdBeJmALQKw/philipp-klausner-574286-unsplash.jpg?format=1500w"/><itunes:season>1</itunes:season><itunes:episode>7</itunes:episode><itunes:title>Dusty Smith, 7 Years In Morocco With Wife And Kids</itunes:title><itunes:episodeType>full</itunes:episodeType>

Dusty Smith, 7 Years In Morocco With Wife And Kids

Jake Ostreicher, Bandit To Barber To Business Self-Starter

Episode 06—
Ever dreamed of opening and owning your own business?

My friend Jake Ostreicher did, then he opened his own barber shop, The Chop Shop, in Milford, Massachusetts in 2011.

Seven years later, it's still going strong and growing every year.

Find out some of the tips and tricks he's learned and lucked into along the way, along with some of his backstory, including how he picked up the alias, 'The Hot Dog Bandit.'

It's a fun episode and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

<itunes:author>Audio OCSPLORA</itunes:author><itunes:subtitle>Jake the barber talks dreams, faith, family, and business.</itunes:subtitle><itunes:summary>Ever dreamed of opening and owning your own business?
