Ali Fedotowsky 'stressed' over her fat body, weight gain on 'The Bachelorette'

Ali Fedotowsky thinks she's fat. While watching previously taped episodes of The Bachelorette, the star has reportedly been "stressed" at larger images of her formally tiny frame.

"It's been stressful watching herself on camera," a source close to the star reveals in the upcoming issue of Us Magazine, out on newsstands Friday June 11.

Currently standing at 5-foot-7 and donning a size 6, the 25-year-old Bachelorette star is done with "binging" and is crash dieting to get back to her former self.

An insider from the show adds that producers encouraged her weight gain by constantly re-taping scenes from the show.

"All she did was eat and drink," sources from the set say. So Ali is taking action to peel off the 15 pounds she gained while doing the show with a high-protein, egg-filled diet. In addition to daily, grueling runs, Ali is also picking up flack from critics who say her perceived weight gain is a developing eating disorder.

"We're not sure what's more shocking," writes TheHollywoodGossip.com. "That Ali Fedotowsky thinks she needs to lose weight, or that they re-tape scenes on The Bachelorette."

Even fans are commenting on the developing story. One reader writes: "I’ve seen the show and I’ve seen Ali in a bikini. The girl looks awesome. She does not need to lose any weight."

Former Bachelor Jake Pavelka and his winning lady Vienna Girardi have some advice for current Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky.

"Kiss all the guys and have as much fun as you can," Jake told me at last night's World of Color premiere at Disneyland. "Keep your heart open."

We're sure his fiancé Vienna, who was also on hand for the Disney celebration, was thrilled to hear his strategy.

Either way, Vienna has already decided on a few potential guys that she likes (and one she doesn't) this season...

"I like Frank, I like Justin and I like Bruno," she told me. "Craig is a meany. Let's just say that."

No surprise that Vienna likes pro-wresler Justin, who has drawn some comparisons to her for being the black sheep of the house.

As to whether the toothy twosome will walk down the aisle anytime soon, they say they haven't planned where and when yet.

"This would be a good place to have it...the land of happies!" Jake suggested.

If you watched The Bachelorette Monday, you couldn't help but hate (or love to hate) the Canadian hothead with the big mouth and used car salesman hair.

It was apparent to everyone - poor weatherman Jonathan Novack, Bachelorette star Ali Fedotowsky and millions of viewers - that Craig M. is a sociopath.

Still, that doesn't mean he wasn't fun to watch.

Ousted during the rose ceremony, Craig M. (for McKinnon, or Machismo) says there are no hard feelings, as he didn’t feel “a natural connection” anyway.

The Toronto native reflected on his short but memorable stint on The Bachelorette on a conference call this week. Here's what he had to say about ...

Nagging Jonathan: "The weatherman situation was not serious at all. I was totally joking. Jonathan ... is a good guy who took things the wrong way."

On being portrayed as a bully: "I guess I was portrayed [as a villain]. People who know me laughed their heads off and had a great time watching."

On his one regret: "Jesse and I in the kitchen. I wasn’t proud of that. The next morning we apologized to each other. It was inappropriate behavior."

On why he didn't get a rose: "Jonathan saying I was stirring up trouble and Ali [knowing] I wasn’t interested ... That probably trumped what he said."

On why he went on the show in the first place: "To find someone I could love and possibly get to the point of engagement. That was my purpose."

"But also for the experience. Anyone who says they aren’t there for an experience is lying. When I saw it was Ali, I wanted to still go on and have fun."

Bachelorette Winner To Run Bolder Boulder

Among the famous names running the Bolder Boulder is Colorado native Ryan Sutter, the first winner of the reality TV series "The Bachelorette."

In the mountains near Vail, Sutter said he has been fighting an "uphill" battle. "It would be nice to find some flat ground every now and then," said Sutter, laughing after finishing a two-hour training ride

It's been seven years since the Vail firefighter's appearance on "The Bachelorette," when he won Trista Rehn's heart.

"It was only six weeks of my life, but it was the defining six weeks of my life," he said. Now happily married to Trista and with two beautiful children, he was looking for a new way to define himself, he said, and he found "First Descents," a Boulder nonprofit that provides free outdoor adventure therapy for young adults with cancer. "They have to combat nature because nature doesn't care if you have cancer or not. That river is the same for people with cancer or without," he said. "In turn, it sort of helps you put your cancer in perspective or your life in perspective."

Inspired by the cause, Sutter's new mission is to lead Team First Descents, raising funds and awareness at 10 athletic events across the country in 2010. "The 10.10.10 challenge is we're hoping to inspire 10,000 people to donate $10 each. That's $100,000 that will have a ton of impact through First Descents," said Sutter. His events start with the Bolder Boulder, and includes the Leadville 100, New York City Marathon and Lake Placid Ironman. "There is no way I could do any of this without Trista's help. She basically takes the kids while I go on these long bike rides and things. It's a team effort," he said.

Still, juggling his family, firefighting job and grueling daily training has been a challenge, but he said that was the point. "If you do get cancer, you're still going to have a family. You're still going to have a job. And you have to confront this ruthless disease," said Sutter. In his own way, he is putting himself in their shoes, he said. Each week, she will be blogging for PEOPLE.com and sharing her thoughts about the episode that aired the night before. “You’re going to see me get mad, cry, be happy, stressed out,” Fedotowsky says of the upcoming season. “The real me — the good, bad and the ugly.” In today’s blog, After dismissing eight men last week, Fedotowsky talks about her dates with Frank, the guys in Speedos and more.

My first week of dates! They were so much fun but not at all what I expected. Why? Because dating 17 guys is really hard!

As you know, my first date was with Frank and I can honestly say that it was the most fun I’ve ever had on a first date in my whole life. As soon as Frank got into the car we clicked. He is so easy to talk to and super funny, which is exactly what I have been looking for. I knew he was a good match for me when we were both able to laugh about the fact that our car broke down in the middle of the highway. I could not believe that happened! I’m actually glad it did though because it’s such a fun story to tell. The only downside is that Frank never even tried to fix it! C’mon, Frank! At least try! Luckily the rest of the date went perfectly and by the end of the night, we had made a very strong connection.

Now onto the group date … which was very overwhelming. I’m so glad that we got the chance to do something for charity since giving back is really important to me. However, the photo shoot kept us super busy so it was hard to focus on getting to know the guys. And I still can’t believe the guys put on those Speedos!!! I swear I knew nothing about the outfits before we went on the date and I actually felt bad for the guys, but they were all such great sports. I’m sure they were thrilled once we all put on regular clothes and headed to H Wood in Hollywood. I was really glad that I was able to spend a lot of one-on-one time with the guys at the afterparty. Jonathan warned me about Craig M., but honestly, I already knew something was up with him. I was thankful that Jonathan had my back and let me know about it; otherwise, I would have just been speculating. I didn’t want to address Craig M. about it on the date, though, so I waited until the rose ceremony to confront him.

Before we get to the rose ceremony though, let’s talk Vegas! What an over-the-top date! As many of you know, I am not the most glamorous gal. Therefore I felt a little bit uncomfortable with the A-list service we received that day. You probably noticed that by the end of the night I had kicked off my heels and was running around barefoot. Where were my sneakers when I needed them?

The rose ceremony this week was completely different than last week. I finally felt like myself. I was able to relax and focus all of my attention on getting to know the guys. It was a good thing too because I needed to feel confident going into my conversation with Craig M. I feel bad that he was able to pinpoint Jonathan after I told him that someone called him dangerous. I didn’t realize that Craig would know whom I was talking about. At the end of the night, I felt confident in my decision to let Craig M, Tyler, and Chris H. go. It’s never easy, but I felt a sense of relief knowing that I was one step closer to hopefully finding the love of my life.

Jillian Shows Ed her Alberta Roots

Bachelorette star Jillian Harris and fiance Ed Swiderski stopped by her hometown of Peace River on Friday night to judge a local singing competition as part of the Alberta Summer Games.

But instead of camera flashes and fans swarming them for autographs, the newly engaged couple who found love on the small screen spent the weekend riding ATVs, barbecuing and hanging out with Harris’s family.

“We have been looking forward to this for months now,” said Harris on the phone from Peace River. “Ed and I are both small-town people and just relish sitting around a campfire, ATVing, and cruising down the highway.”

When Harris, 30, was invited to sit on the judging panel to help crown the winner of the Peace River Idol singing competition, she jumped at the chance.

The winner received a $1,000 grand prize and will sing for the 3,000 athletes, coaches and officials and thousands more spectators during games week July 19 to 25.

“The rolling hills are beautiful, and it’s great to see my friends and family,” Harris said. “For me to show Ed my roots is something – one of the most incredible experiences I’ve had this year.”

Swiderski, also 30, said the northern Alberta community reminded him of the small Michigan town he grew up in.

“It’s awesome. Small town feel, but everybody is very nice and you bump into people and know them through a friend of a friend or family member.”

Since Harris was rejected by Season 13 Bachelor star Jason Mesnick in the winter of 2009, before finding love with Swiderski last July on the fifth season of the Bachelorette, the pair said life has been markedly different.

For one, they get noticed when they go out, which surprises Harris that “people care who we are.”

Fame has been a help and a hindrance to their careers – Harris’s as a designer and Swiderski’s in technology sales – forcing them to switch gears.

Now, Harris is readying for a role as one of Extreme Makeover Home Edition’s newest members while Swiderski is preparing to launch his own business helping less-fortunate children discover technology.

When they’re not on the job or throwing themselves into charity work, the two spend downtime at their Chicago home “sitting under the covers and watching TV,” Harris said.

There’s also a wedding in the works – though no date or plans have been set in stone. Fans will just have to wait to see if they get a glimpse into the couple’s big date either on TV or in magazines.

“The party isn’t the priority,” Harris said. “It’s having a healthy, successful relationship.”

Former Bachelor contestant Gia Allemand is dating hockey player Chris Campoli.

Swimsuit model Gia, who made it to the final three on Jake Pavelka's season of The Bachelor, recently reunited with her on-and-off boyfriend Chris Campoli - thanks to her reality TV stint.

"I'm glad she did the show. It made us both realize how much we missed each other and need each other," Chris said.

Gia and Chris began dating three years ago, but split up after he got traded from The New York Islanders to the Ottawa Senators.

"It caused a lot of strain on our relationship and we ended up breaking up and I had a hard time dating...so I went on The Bachelor," Gia said.

After the show, the couple rekindled their romance and is living together in New York City.

"Chris got me a promise ring," Gia said about the man in her life.

They're also considering going back to reality tv as a team on The Amazing Race.

"Chris and I would make a great team because we are both really competitive," Gia said. "We always find a happy medium and a way to get through things."

I'm really happy for Gia and Chris. They look so cute together and I wish them the best of luck. Chris is definitely the better choice for Gia. Did you see who Jake decide to settle with? Gia count your blessings that you have a hockey player over a pilot!

This is the first time in a very long while that I am actually looking forward to Monday morning.

Afterall, if you live in Toronto you know how crazy the morning commute is and how the TTC is not always the reliable choice.

But this Monday May 31 is the exception.

Why you may ask? Citytv will be unleashing handsome bachelors who are armed with beautiful red roses on Downtown Toronto from 8 AM to 9:30 AM.

For a few minutes, you get to feel what it's like to be a Bachelorette as a handsome tuxedo - clad gentleman asks you to accept this rose in true "Bachelorette Form" minus the cat fights, group dates and villains.

"The Bachelors will be surprising lucky ladies in the Yonge-Bloor area by handing out branded roses and asking them to "accept this rose" in the style of the hit romantic reality series The Bachelorette on Citytv. There will also be opportunities to win additional Bachelorette prizes with skill testing trivia questions related to the series."

So make sure ladies to find those bachelors, get a rose, grab your coffee and head to work. (In that order preferably!)

Chris Harrison Blogs on The Season Premiere of The Bachelorette

I want to start off this blog — and this season — with a big “Thank You!” This is our 20th season of The Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise. It’s a remarkable accomplishment in this day and age of television, and on behalf of the hundreds of people who make this show happen each and every year, I’ll say it again: Thank you. Making this show is much more than a job for all of us; it’s a passion and a labor of love. While this show has evolved with the times over the last eight years, it really hasn’t ever changed or wavered from its roots. It’s still really about that one thing we hope to achieve and find in our lives: love.

Watching the recap of Ali and Jake at the beginning of the first episode was a little strange. For some reason, that night at the Beverly Wilshire, when she chose her job over Jake, seems like years ago. I want to point out something very important that Ali mentioned several times throughout tonight’s episode, something that will play a huge part in and essentially shape this entire season: Ali is a vulnerable woman. Her biggest fear this season is that she will fall in love but not be loved back. This is a wild, tumultuous season for Ali. Unfortunately, her greatest fear is somewhat realized, and it’s something Ali had to face head-on and deal with.

The first episode is always hard to blog about because you’re just getting to know everybody. I do, however, love to break down the different styles the guys use to make a first impression. First off, there are way too many guys named Chris this season. I promise you, I will see to it this will not happen again. Then we have Frank, who is the first bachelor or bachelorette to ever come out of the top of the limo. Kyle, who went home, went with the fishhook maneuver — a classic move that I normally would rip apart, but you know what, it played okay. Craig M., who will undo all the goodwill Jillian created for Canada on our show, came out with a knock on Vienna. I’ve got to stick up for my friend Vienna and say, “Not a cool move, buddy.” Kirk created a paper rose for Ali. I think Ali saved him a little bit, but it worked all right. Tyler M. made the biggest gaffe of anybody during the arrivals. Note to all men: If you’re going to make mention of something that a woman did, like wear cowboy boots, make sure you’ve got the right woman! Ali didn’t wear cowboy boots on night one. And then there’s Derrick … ohhh, Derrick. I would say bless your heart, but you did this to yourself, my friend. Telling Ali your nickname is “Shooter” was bad enough. “Shooter” is just not the kind of nickname a woman is going to find cute or endearing. But when you tell her you “earned” that name due to premature ejaculation…. Damn, dude, what can I tell you? That’s just not something any woman wants to hear two minutes after meeting you. The good news is at least you didn’t share this information on national television. Oh wait.

After cleaning up the hot tea I spit across the control room from hearing Derrick explain his nickname, I brought out the ballot box for the boys. Well, actually my man Paul Danner brought it out (by the way ladies, Pauly is still single). The guys didn’t like the idea of the ballot box at first, but then quickly changed their tune. As it turned out, Justin easily got the majority of the votes. Ali decided to go against the guys’ decision and give Justin (aka “Rated R”) a rose and keep him around. I will back up her decision here. Justin said and did nothing wrong that first night to be sent home. The whole wrestling, “Rated R” thing rubbed some of the guys the wrong way, but Justin was really good with Ali, and I understand her choice. With that said, this is not the end of Rated R’s controversy, nor is it the end of his problems with the other guys in the house. On the flip side, Roberto received the first impression rose. Ali appeared to be blushing when she was trying to give him the rose.

The first night of the season really just gets the ball rolling, and things take off in a hurry from here. This season takes us around the world and back. We even dodge a volcanic eruption, only to be delayed by that very volcano when we least expected it. I’ve been known to throw around the word “dramatic” from time to time, but to say this season has plenty of drama doesn’t fully explain all that lies ahead. The tease at the end of the show gives you just a little taste of all the trials and tribulations Ali will have to deal with right up to the very end. It’s our 20th season, a huge milestone; I think you’ll agree when it’s all said and done that this may be our best ever. As always, I look forward to your comments below. "Well, it was a good time," Jay told UsMagazine.com at Tuesday's Dragonette performance at A/X in Hollywood. "You're not used to going into a situation where there are about 50 cameras and 24 other guys really aggressive and really, really wanting to be there."

Now that Jay's out of the running, who should be Ali's final choice?

"Chris from Cape Cod was a really good guy," he told Us of Chris L., a hunky landscaper from Cape Cod, Mass. "They kind of hit it off really well...He was really funny and she seemed to really like him initially."

One personal detail Chris L. shared with the cameras but not with Fedotowsky: he had left New York City to care for his dying mother. "I was happy he didn't get into the whole story about his mom passing away which is terrible," Jay said.

"He could've used that card maybe to play that up...he's a really good guy and I hope it works out for them."

Jay has no hard feelings after being ousted. "Ali's gorgeous," he told reporters of the 25-year-old Bachelorette. "She's so nice!"

Bachelorette's Ali and Vienna Bury the Hatchet

Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky and Vienna Girardi are no longer brawling, Chris Harrison told UsMagazine.com at Monday night's Dancing With the Stars.

The two -- who clashed on The Bachelor while competing for Jake Pavelka -- "hugged each other and, said 'Hi,'" Harrison said. "That's one of the ways Ali has grown as a person." Pavelka even posted a pic on Facebook of him posing with his fiancee, 24, and Fedotowsky, 25.

Fedotowsky would call out Girardi for, among other things, bragging that she'd "shake her boobs in Jake's face," but "[Ali] regretted some of that," Harrison added. "I get it. Look, in the heat of the moment, on the show, you say some things, you regret some things, there are some things you look back and might not do and that was one of them. She apologized as much for that."

Fedotowsky -- who premiered as The Bachelorette Monday night -- is "so happy for Jake," Harrison went on. "She realizes now that it wasn't meant to be, she wasn't supposed to be with Jake."

Harrison said he thinks Girardi got a bad rap as the villain on the show.

"That's one thing I've learned in 8 years, 20 seasons, who am I to judge? Who am I to tell Jake Vienna's not right for him when he's sitting there happy in love? Really? How presumptuous and arrogant of me would that be to tell him I'm right and he's wrong?" he said.

The Bachelorette Season Premiere Recap

My Recap on Monday's season premiere of 'The Bachelorette'

Let the craziness and backstabbing, sorry! Love search commence!

Ok before I'm about to get into the recap, I would like to say that Ali Fedotowsky is the most adorable Bachelorette that we had in years. Yes I did like Jillian as last year's Bachelorette, but something about Ali makes me like her more. She's something that we haven't seen in quite some time. Just wish that she was more confident in her decisions. Leaving Jake was not the end of the world and there's plenty of other fish in the sea.

Ok back to the season premiere. Is it just me or did they really play out the fact that Ali left Jake. I felt that they kept throwing it in my face. Yes I know that she left Jake after all I am a Bachelorette blogger.

After half an hour of Jake and Ali and idiotic Bachelor videos, we finally get the show on the road.

If I were the Bachelorette, I don't need some guy leaping off a limo (Jason) or cheezy lines or a fake proposal (John C.) A guy who is really sincere with his intro shows me that they are here for the right reason. (Craig M . . . your cue to exit please!)

I give extra Kudos to the guys who kept the Limo entrance simple and sweet, Roberto, Chris H, John N and Tyler M. I loved it and hopefully Ali keeps them around!

I loved Hunter's "Where's the washroom?" entrance. I loved it and Ali certainly did.

After the lovable, awkward, and just plain stupidity, 25 bachelors have exited the limo to enter the mansion with our Bachelorette.

Already, the tensions fly between Justin "Rated R" (Honestly, don't go bragging that your a professional wrestler, not cool and I wasn't impressed) and the other Bachelors. They definitely voiced their opinion when the "voting box" came out.

Chris Harrison informed everyone to vote for the person that they thought was in the mansion for the wrong reasons. Justin got the majority of the votes. I don't think that anyone was surprised and I wondered if anyone voted for "All Hair" Craig M.

Ali gets to decide whether or not she gets to keep him and guess what ladies and gents? She does. Wasn't she the one who was on "I hate Vienna" band wagon last season. Wouldn't she want to listen to The Bachelors?

After that totally unnecessary voting, meeting the Bachelors continues. We get to hear about Derek's "Shooter" story. Will Ali be impressed? Of course not! Would you?

Derek, a piece of advice, lock that story into that vote box and take it with you on the ride home and bury it somewhere and NEVER MENTION IT AGAIN!

Chris Harrison enters again and this time with, drum roll please!, the first impression rose. I think for a split second that rose morphed into a football and all the guys were going to tackle each other the get it. (Ok . . . it shows in the preview of the season two guys tackling it out so I'm not off with this!)

So who's going to get that rose? Let the one on one time begin.

And the winner is . . . ROBERTO! I won't lie that connection between Ali and Roberto was amazing. They clicked and those salsa moves didn't hurt either.

I also wished that Jessie had gotten it. I loved how sincere he was with Ali and how he made her that necklace. It was really sweet and I had wished that he had gotten it.

So now Roberto and Justin both have a rose and 23 other Bachelors are wondering what their fate is. There is after all, only 15 roses left.

Since the Jake and Ali thing was dragged on in the beginning, we don't get to hear Ali's first impressions of the guys or her debating between them. As soon as the guys settled back down, Ali starts giving the roses.

Derek aka "Shooter is gone along with Steve, Phil, Jason (see ladies, the car flip didn't work at all), Jay (way to uptight for Ali), Jesse, John N, Kyle (I thought that that rose was cute but Ali wasn't impressed), Tyler M (lost major points confusing Ali with cowboy boots, was he thinking of Jillian?), Derrick (Talking to yourself in the mirror in front of a TV camera, not cool), Frank (going to miss the nerdy glasses) and Phil.

Athletic and Smokin' Hot!

As if hunky Bachelor contestant Andy Baldwin didn't have a good enough physique, the doctor is running a marathon in South Africa. And it's for a good cause!

The Comrades Marathon, happening this weekend, has an ultimate goal of helping poor children in Africa or other impoverished countries. The money raised goes towards supplying kids with food, clean water, health care, and schooling. Andy is part of Team World Vision with world-renowned runner Josh Cox and running guru Bart Yasso. Says Andy: "I leave tomorrow for South Africa. We're all very excited. I talked with Bart today and he's on his way. Josh is already over there. I have gotten 100 children sponsored, and as a total we've gotten 750 sponsored. We have a goal of 1500 so we need more."

Baldwin says he's ready for the marathon, but he knows it's going to be tough: "I'm nervous but trust my training," Baldwin said. "I know I can mentally will my way through it."

Bachelorette Trista Sutter Dishes On Why She Will Never Have Another Child and More

Admit it: You sat glued to your television anxiously awaiting WHO would get Trista Sutter’s last rose on the first season of The Bachelorette, too. Now nice and settled and married to her pick, Ryan Sutter, the duo have two kids and were recently visiting Los Angeles to help promote The Hot Mom To Be Handbook that Trista wrote the foreword to. Alex and I got to dish with the reality star on why she’s decided to never have another child, her advice for women who struggle with infertility, the difference between her home state of Colorado versus LA and more.

Chelsea: Did you help co-write the book?

Trista: No — I just wrote the foreword. I get that all the time and I feel bad because I don’t want to take any of [author] Jessica [Denay's thunder]… it’s her baby! I just wrote the foreword.

Chelsea: How are you doing with two kids?

Trista: Awesome! They are the best. Yes, it’s crazy and it’s busy and you’re going, going, going, but it’s what I’ve always dreamed of. I’ve always wanted to be a mom and have a husband I adore and I have all those things.

Chelsea: How did you meet your husband? [Breezy Note: I couldn’t resist. I wish you could have seen how uncomfortable Alex looked…]

Trista: [Laughs] Well… do you have a DVD player?

Alex: How old are you kids?

Trista: Max is 2 1/2, almost 3 and Blakesley just turned 1.

Alex: So you had them close together?

Trista: 20 months. On his first birthday we had all our family in town and I was like, ummm… I think we’re pregnant. We weren’t planning on it, but it was awesome because trying to get pregnant with Max was quite a journey. It took us two years, so we were very thankful.

Chelsea: Were you excited to find out you would have a boy and a girl?

Trista: Yes. I had everyone in the ultrasound room…

Chelsea/Alex: Awww…

Trista: It was fun. Even Max. He said, “Baby.”

Chelsea: Do you think you’ll have a third?

Trista: No. I think we’re done. In fact, I know we’re done. I had a procedure done called the Essure procedure which is permanent birth control, so I know I’m done.

Chelsea: Ohh… I’ve never heard of that.

Trista: It’s funny because so many people haven’t and I want to spread the word. It’s an in-office procedure and you don’t have to go under the knife, no general anesthesia and your husband doesn’t have to get snipped. Also, the vasectomies are a lot lower success rate so that’s what I opted for. It was good for me, it’s permanent, I know my family is complete, I’m good with that and I’m okay it’s done. If we want another, we can adopt, but a boy and a girl… I’m good. We each have one and we’re not overwhelmed so it’s good.

Chelsea: Are you still working on your diaper bag line?

Trista: No. I’m done unfortunately.

Chelsea: Are you starting any new adventures?

Trista: I am, but I can’t talk about it yet because it’s in the works. But mostly it’s about the kids.

Chelsea: Because the jump from one to two is hard, right?

Trista: It is, it’s hard, but it’s do-able. My inspiration was thinking about the millions and millions of moms who have done it before me or have more than me or that are alone. So, I think, “I can do this. Just breath.”

Chelsea: Is it crazy coming from the Colorado life back to LA?

Trista: Yes, it is with all the cars and all the people and the traffic and the hustle…and I’m like, “Ahhhh! We want to go back home!” [laughs]. No, it’s great to come here for mini-vacations when we can.

Chelsea: Are you going to stay in Colorado?

Trista: Yes. I can’t see us moving. Unless we had another house. We’ve always talked about how we want a house in the mountains and a house on the beach. So, hopefully.

Alex: You said it took you two years to get pregnant the first time…

Trista: Yes.

Alex: We recently did an article on infertility treatments. What sort of advice would you give moms that are struggling?

Trista: It’s so hard. I would say keep the hope alive because it can happen. We actually went to a fertility doctor and I was getting the basic testing done and then we got pregnant. So, you never know. It can happen whenever. It’s really hard to get pregnant for a lot of women so it’s all about that one millisecond where it can happen.

Vienna Girardi may have won Jake Pavelka's heart in last season's Bachelor, but there's no doubting that some of the most memorable moments of the series were provided by Ali Fedotowsky. After making the emotional decision to leave the show to focus on work, the 25-year-old from San Francisco is now back searching for love again as the star of The Bachelorette. We caught up with her as she chatted about her suitors, wedding plans and what advice Jillian Harris gave her...

What was the timeline from when you left The Bachelor to becoming The Bachelorette?

"I got the phone call from my company about whether or not I could stay or leave hours before the Rose Ceremony and I made the choice to leave the show. I went right back to work that following Monday when I got home. I got approached - it was after I was already off the show and it aired - a while later and it was honestly not something I ever imagined I would be asked to do, and I was really shocked and nervous. By the time I was approached I felt like I was healed from the show, and in order to make my decision about whether or not I wanted to become The Bachelorette, I wanted to make sure I saw the season finale of The Bachelor so I could have closure with that and move on with my next adventure."

Are you happy with the men they picked for you?

"I'm so happy with the guys I got this season. One thing I said to the producers coming in was that I didn't want the male model who can't put two sentences together. I want smart, interesting guys that are going to keep me excited about the relationship and who they are and what they bring to the table. That's exactly what I got and I'm so happy. I want to thank each and every one of them for coming because they made the experience really great for me."

How important were first impressions to you?

"Actually, I was going in thinking that first impressions wouldn't really mean anything to me because I've always been the type of girl who will go for a guy who has told me a story that is really interesting or has made me laugh. I was so nervous that first night that I don't even think I remember a lot of the first impressions! It doesn't weigh that heavily."

Were you confident you would find love?

"Oh, I was so confident going into this that I could find my husband. I would not have done this show otherwise. When I was first approached to be The Bachelorette I had a lot of concerns. I was so happy in my career and job and I loved being in San Francisco. I just didn't know if it was the right choice. I had a conversation with my best friends and they said to me, 'If you find your husband on this show, nothing else matters'. That's when I knew that being on the show was the right choice and I was absolutely confident from night one that my husband would be in that room and I like to think I kept that confidence."

Are you ready to have kids or start a family?

"Let me clear this up! There are some articles out there I have seen suggesting that I want children right away. That is not the case! Chris Harrison asked me where I wanted to be in five years and I said, 'I want to be pregnant in five years', meaning when I am 30 I want to be pregnant with my first child. So am I ready for kids now? Absolutely not! I still have a career I want to build and things I want to accomplish before I am ready to start a family."

Have you thought about what sort of wedding or engagement ring you want?
"Oh my gosh, I have never in my life thought about what my wedding would be like! My uncle is actually a jeweller and he's always said that Asscher cut is pretty nice so I guess if I had to pick something that is what I'd go for. For the wedding dress I'd want something really simple, and I'd want my hair to be really natural. I plan on wearing Converse under my wedding dress so it has to be long enough to hide those! I don't like to be all glammed up, I like to be natural, so I think I'd have a natural look."

Now that you've gone through the process, do you have more understanding of what Jake went through?

"Absolutely. I just remember thinking when I was on The Bachelor, 'Why would Jake be insecure about anything? He has all these girls here vying for his attention'. But being on The Bachelorette, I get it. People can say to me all day, 'I'm falling for you, you're beautiful'. All these words, but to me, I always found myself questioning that. Is this person being sincere? Do they really care for me? One thing that was important for me to make clear to the guys was, 'I am offering you a rose but you are accepting it back. Don't accept it if you don't want it'. It was important for me that they knew this was serious and not just a game. I have so much more respect for Jake and Jillian and Jason and everyone who has been through this. It is really difficult and by far the hardest thing I've ever done."

Have you spoken to any former Bachelorettes or Jake about being the one handing out the roses?

"I haven't spoken to Jake at all actually, not even to this day. I actually think there is a good chance I might be running into him and Vienna soon and I hope to talk to him about my journey a little bit. I did talk to Jillian Harris beforehand. She wanted this to be my experience and to wish me luck. Her advice was basically to make sure I had a lot of travel hairspray on hand when I was on the road! She was really sweet saying, 'Oh I'm so glad you're the next Bachelorette', and all that. I haven't actually met her in person but I hope to in the future."

Do you think looking back that you made the right decision leaving The Bachelor?

"I think that at the time it was the right decision in the sense that I don't think I'm supposed to be with Jake. He found someone and he is with Vienna and they are happy and I'm happy for them. But, do I think that choosing a job over someone who is potentially the love of your life is the wrong choice? I do. It's kind of hard to answer. If I had stayed, would I have ended up with Jake? I don't think so. I think he would have ended up with Vienna anyway. So in that sense I think it is the right choice but I'm so glad that I now know I will never make that choice again."

Are you happy with how the season ends?

"I'm happy right now and I'm really confident with the decisions I made all along the way, whether it was the third Rose Ceremony, the fifth or the last. I don't have any regrets and I'm really happy right now."

Will Canadian hottie Chris Hasek win Ali's final rose?

Friends and family of Campbell River's Chris Hasek-Watt will be glued to their television sets at 9 p.m. Monday when the season premiere of The Bachelorette airs.

Hasek-Watt, 27, is one of the bachelors aiming to win the heart of Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky, 25, on the sixth season of the popular reality show that airs on ABC. His mother Jana Watt of Campbell River said she can't wait to see Monday's show.

"We're really excited, I had no idea how popular the show was all over the world," Watt said. "A lot of his friends are really excited and we'll be getting together to watch Monday night."

Hasek-Watt was born and raised in Campbell River and attended Pinecrest, Robron and Timberline schools. He loves sports and was particularly well known as a talented world-ranked junior tennis player.

"He's a great tennis player," Watt said. "He played on the BC team and he still plays a lot."

Hasek-Watt attended UBC and is now an account manager with a real-estate development company in Vancouver. He still loves sports and plays golf, basketball and hockey as well as tennis.

"We're very proud of him," his mom said. "He's very motivated, he's very competitive - I don't know if that's a good or bad thing - and he works hard to get ahead."

She said friends of her son suggested he'd be a good contestant on The Bachelorette so he sent in an application.

"They started with thousands of applicants and then just kept narrowing it down," Watt said.

Hasek-Watt traveled to Los Angeles and took part in the taping of the show at a mansion earlier this year. Secrecy is key and he is not allowed to reveal anything that happened during the taping of the series, Watt said.

The Bachelorette premieres at 9 p.m. Monday on ABC.

Jake and Vienna to dance to "On The Wings of Love" on DWTS Finale

Jake & Vienna to perform on DWTS . . . you have been warned!

Vienna Girardi will no longer have to watch Dancing With the Stars from the sidelines.

The 23-year-old cheered on her beau, Jake Pavelka, throughout his run on this season of ABC's hit show, and now people will have the chance to cheer her on as well!

"Jake and I will be on the finale dancing together!" Girardi told us last night at the Maxim Hot 100 party at Paramount Studios. "Dancing With the Stars came to us about three weeks ago and asked us if I'd be interested in dancing."

But Pavelka's leading lady fears she may flop...

"I'm very nervous," Girardi admitted. "Jake's been telling everyone that I'm a really good dancer, but I'm really not. The expectations are too high for me."

But the couple, who will dance to Jeffrey Osborne's '80s hit "On the Wings of Love," have more than just a DWTS dance to rehearse for. And although no date has been set for their nuptials, size does matter when it comes to the big day.

"An intimate, small gathering would be nice, but Jake has 200 cousins and I have 300," Girardi said. "They all expect to be invited."

If seeing Jake and Vienna perform during Monday's DWTS Finale wasn't going to be a nauseating experience, they had to dance to "On the Wings of Love." How original!

Maybe they can give out "airplane shaped" ear plugs and dark aviator sunglasses to the DWTS audience. Ok, I'll stop with the pilot jokes.
