Day-01: Old & New Dhaka Tour

The Mughal capital of Dhaka was ruled by Sultans, Mughal Emperor, the British and local Zamindar. Each of them left their political, purposeful and religious aspects of symbolic structures that hold the past glory of Dhaka. Strolling around monuments and Museum, it is also an interesting walk through the old Dhaka alley for seeing the demolishing heritage buildings, local workshops and boat building activities before embarking on a giant ship for an overnight cruise to Barisal.

Day-2: Dhaka- Moinamoti – Chittagong – Rangamati

At 06:30 AM started 115km drive to the Archeological camp where the Shalban Vihara and the Museum are located. Excavated Buddhist remains of 8th/9th century are dotted all the way along the north – south running Lalmai –Moinamoti – hill range. From the following adjacent sites you may also visit: Charpatra Mura, Itakhola Mura, Rupban Mura, Kutila Mura andTriratna Stupa. After lunch at Miami restaurant we will drive back to Dhaka.

Continue on car journey towards Rangamati via Chittagong through rural landscape, we stop before entry into the Rangamati hill tracts to the check point, check in Parjatan motel deluxe room.

Day-5: Bandarban – Nilgiri – Chittagong by jeep & car

We’ll set into the 4-wheel jeep, and onto a winding zig zag road that heads into the highest hillview point for about 2 hours. We have left civilization behind us.

Around 11 am we reach the summit! 661 meters above sea level. The spectacular hills often shrouded in clouds and mist. The feeling of triumph overwhelms us.

Day-01: our expeditions guide met from Dhaka airport 12:30 pm and drive to the most attractive attractions specially old part of Dhaka.The main attractions are Sadarghat (riverfront), Ahsan Manzil (Pink Palace), Lalbagh Fort, Armenian Church, Dhakeswari Temple, Curzon Hall, National Parliament Building, National Museum Although it’s not possible to visit all places I’ll try to show you as much as possible. 8:45 pm fly to Chittagong. upon arrival at Chittagong airport transfer to the well park Hotel and night halt.

Day-02: After an early breakfast drive to Rangamati. We’ll visit various sights bazaar and villages while boat trip on Kaptai Lake, the main spots in Shuvalong waterfall, Shuvalong indigenous Bazar, Tribal villages, Rajban vihara Buddhist Monastery, Hanging Bridge, overnight in hotel Sufia at Rangamati.

Day-03: At 06:30 AM drive to Bandarban by reserved vehicle, on the way take a photo of the largest Buddhist temple in Bangladesh named Jadi temple (Golden Temple). In the afternoon a magnificent short Cruise on Sangu River, Shailapropat waterfall and Indigenous village, Nilachal.

Day-04: in the morning jeep drive to the highest Nilgiri and Chimbuk hill view point, it’s very romantic place of Bandarban, explore tribal villages, in the afternoon drive to Chittagong (92km) catching evening 9:15 pm fly to Dhaka. Transfer to Dhaka Golden Tulip– the Grandmark hotel.

Day-05: From Dhaka 8:45 am fly to Saidpur and visit the Kantajee Temple (also known as Kantanagar Temple), the most spectacular terracotta’s Hindu temple and one of the most beautiful monuments in Bangladesh and Nayabad Mosque. After lunch drive to Bogra for visiting Mahasthangarh, dating back to at least the 3rd century BC, is located only 14 km from Bogra town. Today visit the archaeological sites and feelings of earliest glory, night stay at Naz Garden Hotel and Resort.

Day-06: Drive to Paharpur visiting the Sompura Vihara is considered the most exciting and significant archaeological site in Bangladesh- dating from the 8th century AD and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was once the largest Buddhist monastery south of the Himalayas. This day we’ll know also about Sultanate Muslim structure like Kushumba Mosque, drive to Rajshahi and overnight at Chez Razzaq Suite Hotel.

Day-07: After breakfast visit Varendra research museum, Puthia temple city, Shiva temple, Govinda temple,Jagannath temple, Rajbari The charming town of Puthia, renowned for the largest number of historically important Hindu structures in Bangladesh and visit Bagha mosque and Hatikumrul Navaratna temple then drive back to Dhaka, after having dinner transfer to airport.

Depart Dhaka at 6:30 am from your nominated pick up point. You will board to the wooden decorated boat at Bouddhar Bazaar, which is 30 km from Dhaka and takes about an hour to reach to visit the Chars of the widest Meghna river.

The Meghna is braided network of interacting channels with numerous sandy bed ( Chars ) we discover the char village to observe the simplicity of Char life and know their society, education and culture. During the cruise you may find river dolphin and lot of cormorant with other birds. you will be inspired fishing activities and river bank farmer life

On way back, visit Sonargaon, which was the first capital of Bengal (13th to 17th century). A traditional Bangladeshi food will be served lunch which will be served in the Char silent place or Sonargaon restaurant.

Archeological Excursion to Moinamoti & Visit Sonargaon

Start from Dhaka in the early morning for Moinamoti which is about 114 km southeast of Dhaka and well connected by road the journey will take two and half hours time. on arrival you will visit "War cemetery" where you can see the graveyard of the soldiers died in the Myanmar front during the World War-2. Drive to the Archeological camp where the Salbon Vihar and the Museum are located. Excavated Buddhist remains of 8th/9th century are dotted

all the way along the north - south running Lalmai - Moinamoti - hill range.

From here the following adjacent sites you may also visit: Ananda Vihar, Charpatra Mura, Itakhola Mura, Rupban Mura, Kutila Mura and Triratna Stupa. Among these, the Ananda Vihara, the Charpatra Mura and the Kutila Mura are situated within the Moinamoti Cantonment are therefore, prior permission of the cantonment authorities is necessary for the visit. After lunch at Miami restaurant we will drive back to Dhaka. On the way back, we will stop at Sonargaon, the oldest city, which was the capital of Bengal from 13th - 17th century for sight-seeing. If our time permits, we may visit the folklore museum and the Panam village. Arrival Dhaka in the evening.
