The Essential phone is Andy Rubins first stab at an Android OS device.  Mr. Rubin is one of the "founding fathers" of Android before Google purchased it in 2005 and this phone has been highly anticipated. The thought was since Andy was part of Android origionally that this device would be the best "pure stock Android" device out there.  

Is it?  Did they succeed in making a great "pure" Android device?
