Blaze's UberFeed

Do you feel like YouTube has gotten so stale, and boring for the past couple of months or even years? I’m having a harder, and harder time finding any good original content on the platform. I know there are some diamonds in the rough but you have to sift

2026-11-04T21:04:08Z

I think we use Youtube in fundamentally different ways, and that's largely because it became clear that Youtube's algorithm, just like every algorithm, prioritizes engagement. Which means it's very easy to get stuck in a cycle of hate, where Youtube shows you increasingly shocking, frustrating, or outright dangerous content because that's what you click on.

I don't do that. I very aggressively curate my algorithm. I will sometimes scroll for over a minute (sometimes up to five or even ten minutes) just looking at the sidebar of recommended videos, picking out things I know are bad faith and specifically selecting "Not Interested" or even outright "Do not recommend this channel."

For "Not interested", they let you do a follow-up telling them why, and I always make sure to pick "I don't like the video."

And then, for the rest of what it recommends to me, that I'm actually fine with? I don't actually click on, like, 80% of it. For example...

I'm probably not clicking on that. I actually sort of hate the trend of "I played EVERY SINGLE GAME IN THIS FRANCHISE and made one long 3 hour video about it." People are so starved for clicks, and viewers are so attention-deficit that detailed thoughts and opinions are getting flattened out into tiny little soundbites inside of what amounts to clip compilation videos. That shit is making you dumber. No click for them.

I've been on the fence about Hank Green for a long time. I don't really love the guy or his content, but sometimes I'd watch something from him. Like once a month. Hearing him reveal he'd been relying on AI to write his videos was weird and it was easy to distance myself from him ("Don't recommend channel", see above). But these kinds of videos about Youtuber drama? Vultures. Ambulance chasers. No click for them.

Sometimes the algorithm seems completely confused as to who I am. To that I say: good. At least its not racist, violent, or hateful.

What do I watch on Youtube, then? People I'm subscribed to. I live on the subscriptions feed. (and specifically the feed -- not the "relevant" bar at the top, not the block of shorts, the chronological feed of subscribed channels)

And there is so much to watch from my subscriptions that I can't actually watch everything that I want to.

My Watch Later playlist got so big that I had to abandon using it in 2019 because it was impossible to scroll through videos I "didn't want to watch right now."

So I created a second, temporary "Watch later" with newer videos:

That also began to get too long, so I created a special playlist just for videos I was going to pull out of my temp playlist to watch that night. And now that's filling up.

I think it is actually impossible for Youtube to become stale. Which is part of the problem with Youtube, because it favors rapid fire, short term, completely disposable content. If your video is more than a month old it may as well be a fossil, because it's just constant new stuff, all the time, non-stop, in all directions at once.

If you find Youtube is getting stale, you need to look within yourself and figure out both what you really want and what you think you're missing.

I am a horrible person, and every single opinion I have ever had is objectively incorrect. I am objectively wrong for not wanting to buy third-party games on Nintendo Switch 2 because of Game-Key Cards, and for thinking that Metroid Prime 1 is one of the

What’s going on in Fortnite with this loot item making things in the shop free?

2026-11-04T21:04:08Z

Seems like every time you open a chest on the map, literally any chest that contains guns or whatever, there's a non-zero chance it will also give you something else. Like a loading screen, or a new pickaxe...

Or a token that will give you every item in the Fortnite item shop for free for the next two weeks after you activate it.

It feels like a stunt to juice player numbers. And it feels like something that's going to probably show up again after this One Piece season is over. They're not going to do all this backend work on this feature and then vault it when this season is over.

And people are already going crazy for it. There are Reddit threads for people who think if they play Fortnite 10 hours a day, every day then it's inevitable they'll get the token and get their two weeks of free item shop. Those are exactly the types of people this kind of feature is meant to prey upon.

It's pretty gross!

What’s your take on those orange warning signs over bottomless pits in some of the Sonic games around the 2010s? Personally I’m not a fan.

2026-11-04T21:04:08Z

I don't mind them, I guess. Maybe for a certain generation of gamer, they're helpful in knowing where death pits are without testing them first. I'm sure they're some sort of playtest compliance thing, like there was one particular tester who threw themselves down every pit just to see if there was a secret down there.

Their existence does not bother me much.

Thoughts on the changing of Amy being in love with Sonic to just being a friend who is a girl?

2026-11-04T21:04:08Z

The regrettable truth is that I didn't really like Amy Rose when she was toxic and overbearing and I don't like what they've changed Amy Rose into. She went from being scary and annoying to just being sort of bland.

They didn't fix her, in some ways they almost just made her worse.

I remember at some point you tweeted rewatching old TMNT episodes and you couldn’t make it through some them because of how bad they were, compared to when you were a kid. Not sure what your impression was of the TMNT cartoon in the 2000s though it seemed

2026-11-04T21:04:08Z

I love TMNT 2003. Probably my favorite version of the TMNT, keeping in mind I never read the TMNT Adventures Archie comics or the OG Eastman and Laird stuff.

Like, I was 20 years old, waking up on a Saturday morning to watch TMNT. I saw the decapitation and thought "Oh man I can't believe they got away with that."

It's a shame what happened to it. For anyone out there who doesn't know, TMNT 2003 was made in collaboration with Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. They helped create the show, which was more than they did for the 80's/90's cartoon.

Famously Alfred Kahn, CEO of 4Kids, gave a panel at New York City Comic Con. He was asked about kids reading comic books I believe, and he pretty flippantly said that "Kids today don't read. They certainly read less than they used to." He claimed that kids were much happier watching TV and browsing the internet.

That statement infuriated a lot of people. Notably, it got back to Eastman and Laird, who pulled out all support for TMNT. The season they were working on got canceled and 4Kids replaced it with a new completely different season that was significantly worse. The quality of the show nosedived after that and it was kind of part of the beginning of the end for 4Kids overall.

At least we got Turtles Forever out of it.

Never watched much Turtles after that. Didn't see tons of the Nickelodeon CGI series (didn't really grab me and people told me later it was super inconsistent), didn't really watch Rise of the TMNT, didn't see the Michael Bay movies...

Mutant Mayhem was good though.

Reading this particular post has shed new light on a movie I saw years ago called “From Beyond.”

This is based on a Lovecraft short story (of the same name). It’s from a lot of the Reanimator crew and they obviously have to expand things far beyond what Lovecraft wrote, but it’s definitely in that Cthulhu corner of Lovecraft’s works. It’s about a man who invents a device to see beyond the third dimension into higher planes of existence and learns we are sharing our planet with strange, complex beings that we cannot perceive and are effectively invisible.

The movie is horny and eventually turns to goopy monster effects. It’s kinda fun, in that 1980’s horror movie way. But what’s notable is whenever the machine is switched on, it floods the scene in magenta light.

I used to think that was just the movie turning on the porn lighting, because being in the presence of the machine makes people “feel good” if you know what I mean. (I said the movie was horny!)

But now I’m wondering if that was a deliberate choice because magenta is technically “not part of the visible spectrum of light.” It fits thematically with what the movie is saying the machine does.

What version of Sonic Dream Team do I have to download in order to get the recompilation up and running?

I found a download for version 1.10.1. Said the file was uncracked. One comment, left on October 28th, specifically said "All you need to know is this version works with Project Dream."

And it did.

Sonic wishes you sweet dreams

2026-10-02T19:23:49Z

Would you agree with the claim that people who grew up with the Sonic series post-Dreamcast entering into gaming media help shift perceptions of the franchise towards a more positive direction?

2026-11-04T21:04:08Z

No...?

I've sort of touched on this before.

When you're younger, you've had less experiences. Your bar of quality is allowed to be a lot lower, because you haven't seen a lot of stuff that raises your expectations. You do not know how much good stuff is out there, and you are not aware of how good stuff is made.

I have a few different points of reference here.

A notable one is that when I was say, 10 years old, I actually kind of liked Awesome Possum. Nowadays, it's known as one of the worst Sega Genesis games. But when I was a kid, I didn't mind it so much, because I just didn't know better.

And this happens a lot with movies. You'll revisit your favorite childhood movie and with 10, 20, 30 years of distance from it, it's not as good as you remember.

People who came into the Sonic franchise post-Dreamcast might have had lower expectations and a higher tolerance for garbage, maybe. They were not aware of the truly astronomical fall from grace the series suffered, where it was the biggest thing in the world and literally shifted the focus for a significant portion of the industry.

Like, it's hard to even compare just how far Sonic (and Sega as a whole) fell. The closest thing is Star Wars, where A New Hope sort of invented the concept of a "summer blockbuster" and then you fast forward all the way to The Rise of Skywalker nearly killing the series.

In that context, you're saying that appreciation for the prequel trilogy is what's saving Star Wars.

And... uh, well

Look, what I'm getting at is that it's all just cycles of nostalgia. Everybody wants to go back to the way things used to be, back when one could still be satisfied with a game like Awesome Possum.

What really changed was Sega seeking out voices that broaden the appeal of the Sonic franchise and dispel the shame people might be feeling around being a Sonic fan. In the mid-to-late 2000's, the Sonic franchise was this horrible punching bag because a lot of snarky internet commentators lined up to take a swing at it.

That was a post Sonic 2006 world, where we were getting Sonic Unleashed, Sonic Colors, Sonic Generations... the games themselves were strong. But the perception around that series from people on the outside was more negative than it had ever been.

And then Sonic games eventually went back to being sour too. Sonic Lost World, Sonic Boom...

Sonic was burrowed into its little niches where it had gotten comfortable, and wasn't really doing a lot to deflect that negativity. Changing that perception involved, like, doing collabs with Disney. Doing collabs with Cartoon Network. Bringing in fresh blood like Tyson Hesse. Bringing in fresh blood like Alan Wan.

Fresh faces -- in some cases famous faces -- that show there was a reason people cared so much about this blue rat 30 years ago. And some of these guys are my generation, or close to it. They are not "post-Dreamcast Sonic fans." Tyson Hesse was making Sonic sprite comics in the early 2000's.

You make good, fresh, interesting stuff and everything else will fall into place after that. It really is that simple. It has nothing to do with which era is better.

What do you think about using a guide on a first time playthrough of a game? Back then I only did it when it was a game I knew in advance was known for having lots of collectibles (Mega Man X3-X5). But nowadays I think any game that requires me to watch a

2026-11-04T21:04:08Z

Generally speaking I don't like using guides in games, but I will also fully admit to being really bad at games for a long time because I guess I kind of didn't know how to play them.

Like the famous example in my head was Resident Evil. Resident Evil games were things where I'd just kind of wander around, not really pay attention to what I was picking up or where it went, and eventually I'd wander around enough that I'd make progress.

What really clued me in on "how" to play Resident Evil was Code Veronica on the Dreamcast, and that's because Official Dreamcast Magazine had published a guide to the game.

So I rented Code Veronica and played it with the guide in my other hand so I could get as far as humanly possible before having to take it back the next day. And suddenly Resident Evil made sense to me. I knew what the game wanted from me.

It happened again much later, too. Everyone gushed about Ducktales for the NES, and while I broadly understood what the game was (a Capcom platformer), I never really understood the ebb and flow... until I watched Brickroad do a Let's Play of it.

Seeing him discuss which order to tackle levels in, how to acquire secrets and so on really unlocked that game for me to where I knew how it was supposed to be fun. I developed a new appreciation for it, because I "got it" now. I knew what it wanted from me, just like with Resident Evil.

But I do think you can get over reliant on guides. GameFAQs is full of people who blindly follow a guide for every game they play and have absolutely no sense for anything outside of that.

It's like, in older GTA games, you learned the city very very well because you'd get a marker on your map and have to figure out how to get there on your own. But then GTA4 and GTA5 introduced turn by turn GPS and at least personally speaking I became a lot less intimately familiar with those games. I spent too long just following the GPS.

So use guides in moderation, I guess. I'll admit to using a guide sometimes still, but usually it's if I'm struggling with a specific part. Once I find the solution to what's got me stuck, I put the guide away and don't look at it again.

October 2026 Update

2026-11-04T21:04:08Z

Update time!

I kind of forgot to write last month’s. Or, more specifically, I had executive disfunction for so many consecutive days in a row that I decided it would be better to wait. That’s largely because I’ve been head down on something for Halloween, which may or may not miss the deadline: a 10th Anniversary edition of my indie game, OverBite.

That’s right, October 31st of this year marks ten years since I killed myself over my first and so far only game jam. I worked on this OverBite 9+ hours a day, every day, even weekends, mostly by myself. Over time, I’ve become less and less proud of it. It’s FINE, it’s not BAD, but notably most of the levels were constructed in the last 4-8 hours of the game jam, and that’s what bugged me the most. So, around the first week of October, I decided I’d give all the levels a top-to-bottom refresh.

But I couldn’t just do that. So I fixed some bugs. Well, if I’m going to fix some bugs, maybe I’ll add a couple new features. Actually, let’s take some features out of the 10-year-old design document for OverBite and implement some of those. Let’s add a new enemy type. Let’s simplify some of the controls so the game plays better. Let’s see if I can get Malcolm Brown to do me some new music. Let’s…

So feature creep happened. But it will represent a version of OverBite I’m much more proud of. It’s still only going to be a handful of levels, it’s not going to be even one fourth of what I wanted for this game, but you’ll get a decent taste of where I wanted to go with it. I’m even thinking I should put it up on Steam, with the base game being free and maybe having a special paid “supporter pack” that contains bonus content. Does Steam still let you do “supporter pack” DLCs? I’ve seen other games do it, but I feel like I heard they introduced a rule about that. I don’t remember.

Part of the reason I forgot to write last month’s is also because these things have become so intrinsically tied to my financial situation, and I got an especially generous donation early in September that covered the rent for October entirely, and even part of the upcoming rent bill for November. On top of that, I actually did some freelance work this month that would have cleared me for rent in November… but invoicing is what it is and that may be a few weeks out yet. So that means I’m about 85% of the way to rent this month and if I still can’t find a job by Thanksgiving, I’ll be about 50% of the way to rent by the end of next month.

Still, that means I only need about hundred bucks to clear rent this month, if you’d like to help out: https://ko-fi.com/blazehgehg/goal?g=85

Upcoming Youtube Videos

Currently, no Youtube videos are seeing active work. Ideally, I had two videos I wanted to get out before the end of the year: I was finally moving forward on the NiGHTS documentary, which has voice over recorded that needs to be edited down. It’s the 30th anniversary of that game this year. It’s also the 20th anniversary of Sonic 2006 this year, and I was working on a first draft script of sort of a retrospective around that game’s release. That never quite got finished, either.

Even if I start working on the NiGHTS video today, it probably wouldn’t make it out by the end of December. That’s a long, complex video, and part of the reason I’ve been putting it off for so long is because I know it’s going to take an astronomical amount of work. And the Sonic 2006 video would have been nice to have in a better state, but this has turned into a weirdly busy year for me. My dental restoration work took 11 visits to the dentist in six months. There was lots of recovery and procedures around that. On top of entering therapy for the first time, starting medication for the first time, and it’s not even over yet, because I’m going to be starting ADHD medication hopefully by Christmas and I have medical work that needs to get done in prep for that.

I’m doing the best I can given the circumstances, and there just isn’t enough time or energy to spare. Even the 10th Anniversary release of OverBite is suffering from this. I gotta take care of myself!

That being said, I’m trying to move in the direction of doing a new channel introduction video. Every time I bring up certain facts about the things I’ve done in the past (like starting SAGE), there’s always some people who didn’t know. So something short-ish (around ten minutes) that explains who I am, what I’ve been involved in, what my goals are, etc. seems like a good idea. That script has been written for weeks, but I’ve been trying to find space to sit down in front of a camera and get it recorded.

In Case You Missed It

If you picked up on it, yeah! I had some freelance work in October. I did some small video elements for this project:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/4910040/GeForce_8800_GTX_Anniversary/

Not all of them are going to be used in the end, but I was responsible for a video here of a PC booting up into a “Windows XP/Vista-style desktop.” So I made up a whole fake operating system called Port Hole OS, made the logos, the interface, the start-up chime, made the system BIOS, animated everything… and then Dylan, the guy heading up the project, got the clear from Nvidia to use the actual Windows operating system. So my fake “Port Hole OS” work isn’t getting used. You can still see it in one of the screenshots, though. And it’ll still use my fake system BIOS before it loads into Windows.

Still, I think it’s neat, and it’s definitely one of the higher profile things I’ve done in a long time, even if it’s a very teeny part. But it’s a paid part, and it paid well.

I’ve also opened a new blog. I take thousands of screenshots all the time and I tend to hoard them, so I opened a “Video Game Photography” blog where I am posting my favorites. There’s a bunch of posts up right now, and I’ve got tons of posts in the queue. There will be a minimum of two posts per day until at least New Years, and that’s not even 10% of all the screenshots I’ve hoarded over the years.

https://screenshottingblog.tumblr.com/

I also streamed Sonic Project Reignition start to finish a few weeks ago, and if you missed that, the VOD is up over here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=meTX5sLBs4E

I’m aiming for a Halloween stream possibly on October 30th, so stay tuned for that.

What do you think of Matt Johnson?

2026-11-04T21:04:08Z

I dunno. He's an interesting person at the very least. He has really different ideas on how to make movies, what the movie making process is. He comes from a different place on that kind of stuff.

He obviously likes edgy humor. There are so many jokes in Nirvana the Band that are just him saying something blatantly offensive. How much of that is the character of Matt in the show versus the real Matt? I guess I don't know. It definitely feels more like a character nowadays.

Because there are flashes of, say, a different side. In Nirvana the Band the Movie, the first big indicator we know that they've actually traveled back in time to 2009 is they go into a theater to watch a movie and there's a homophobic joke that gets big laughs from the audience. But for Matt and Jay, who are from 2025, they're just like "uh, yikes."

And that's the joke, right. That's the indicator of just how much things have changed since the original Nirvana the Band web series, and how much they've changed as people, right?

And yet there are still moments even in that movie where Matt makes off-color jokes. Especially in the deleted scenes.

So I think it's just kind of become the character of Matt Johnson in the show. Maybe that was him, in some era, but they've also been pretty clear that Nirvana the Band at this point is about two men that basically never grew up (I think I heard that here?)

I do think he's probably a little bit much, and a little bit wild, but I also think that's probably what makes him interesting.

Blood 2: The Chosen is the best sequel ever made

2026-11-04T21:04:08Z

I have yet to touch it.

I will probably never touch it. Unless Nightdive touches it first.

Touch it, Nightdive.

What’s your opinion on physical media, and is it a dying art?

2026-11-04T21:04:08Z

I don't think it's a dying art. I think certain powers that be want it to be a dying art.

But I've talked about it before: Vinyl made a big comeback. That's extending to tape cassettes, and now even CDs are making a comeback. People like to hold things, and look at things, and touch things. They like extras. They like cool art. They like having a collection.

A digital library is intangible. And quickly grows to such a massive size that it doesn't really matter. My Steam account is 22 years old and I've accumulated 1700 games in that time. It does not carry the same impact as the couple dozen Gamecube games I've held on to.

There used to be a pipeline in supporting your favorite creators. You'd buy their albums, you'd watch their music videos on MTV, you'd listen to their music on the radio, and those were the main sources of income. Seeing a band on tour was a rare opportunity.

In an era where we've let something like Spotify gobble up so much power, bands go on tour a lot more because it's the only way they make money these days. Albums are dirt cheap, Spotify pays pennies, and nobody owns anything anymore. Ticket sales and tour merch is where the real money is for a musician now, when that stuff used to be a fraction of a band's income.

Vinyls came back into vogue because it was a way to buy and own music again. It was special and limited. You could hang it on a wall like a piece of artwork. You could pick it up, hold it, leaf through the booklet, and owning a record player felt like being part of a special club of music appreciators. Now, even inconsequential stuff gets vinyl releases. And that's cool, actually!

The people, broadly, yearn for physical media. There's more to life than convenience. Especially when so much of this "instant access" digital media strips everything out of it that made it special. No booklets, no artwork, no DVD bonus features, no steelbook cases, no fold-out posters, no liner notes, just the most basic bog-standard simple core experience. No frills, no juice, no sauce, no appreciation for the consumer or the creator. Just a conveyor belt that serves endless hamburgers without any toppings or condiments. Plain meat and a bun. That's all you get. It's the fastest, easiest, most cost-effective way to deliver the product.

Of course people want more than that. Who wouldn't?

Which software has given you the most frustrating crashes? I’m talking crashes that annoyed you so much, your brain gets reflexively on edge when nearing the point it happens before

2026-11-04T21:04:08Z

I mean if that happens I generally stop using the program or start researching a solution. Software is not supposed to crash.

I suppose the most recent example would be OBS. That thing crashes a lot, all the time. For a while, it was crashing in the middle of using it, but lately it's mostly crashing when I close it down after doing a stream or whatever.

And when that happens, it crashes so hard it almost locks up my PC.

The culprit turned out to be a plugin I use, win-capture-audio. Seems it wasn't terminating threads correctly when monitoring which windows to capture audio from. So as OBS shut down and those systems disconnected, the plugin would get confused and flood Windows with erroneous requests.

Since the original dev (boz-bez) doesn't maintain his plugin anymore, there's a couple different forks that fix the bug. I use this one currently, I believe.

OBS still likes to crash on exit but at least it's not taking my whole system down with it anymore.

What differentiates the non-Breath-of-the-Wild-Kingdom’s-Tears Zelda games from Metroidvanias, if anything?

2026-11-04T21:04:08Z

Well, perspective, for one. Most Metroidvanias seem to be 2D and side scrolling, outside of Metroid Prime.

And Metroid Prime also sort of kind of helps narrow things down, because a lot of Prime is like... following corridors to a destination, right. And that's kind of also what SOTN is like, too. It's a lot of "to get to the Library I have to go through Marble Gallery which takes me to the Outer Wall and that's where the entrance to the Library is."

That kind of A-to-B-to-C-to-D map design.

Whereas Zelda typically provides you with a giant open map as kind of a central hub area and you access specific dungeons from that. That's more just A-to-B, where A is hyrule field and B is the next dungeon.

Do you have any songs you listen to when you want to relax and decompress? Maybe even fall asleep to?

2026-11-04T21:04:08Z

So I have anxiety. I've been talking about that a lot. And sometimes it would prevent me from sleeping. The easiest way to deal with that was to listen to music as I fell asleep. I used to have an old pair of PC speakers I mounted near my bed. I'd turn them down so the music was barely audible, but I could still hear it.

That was good enough, but once I began living with my brother and now my cousin that's not really feasible for a few different reasons, so I bought an eyemask with a pair of tiny bluetooth earbuds and I play music off my phone.

It used to be that I'd just listen to whatever, but maybe it's my situation or I don't know what, but I had to create a specific playlist called "Relax." It's mostly softer music, since high tempo, high energy stuff irritates me if I'm trying to sleep.

There's about 550 songs on it. It includes selections from soundtracks like Chrono Cross, Ecco the Dolphin, Final Fantasy, Halo, Teardown, Metroid, plus a handful of golden oldies.

My mom never really liked to listen to music, but sometimes while driving me to school she'd turn it to KOOL 105, which at the time played music from her generation. So it was 50's, 60's, and early 70's. I heard a lot of that stuff as a kid, and they're positive memories. So I have some Otis Redding, The Everly Brothers, Ben E. King, The Beatles and so on.

A good 70-80% of my music listening these days is actually my relax playlist while I sleep, so if you snoop my Last.fm profile you can clock most of it.

Sometimes I'll trawl Youtube for stuff, but that's been less and less these days. There's a huge amount of "sleep podcasts" on Youtube and more and more of them have some kind of AI component. Thumbnails, voice over, whatever. Like I used to listen to "The Sleepy Scientist", but I started noticing how much AI they use and it make me doubt their entire channel. (sensationalist science and truth in that kind of #Content is a whole other can of worms we're not getting into here)

Generally if I want some talking to listen to while I sleep, queuing up a bunch of LGR is usually a good idea. His Tech Tales playlist was sleeping material for a while. Listening to The Gaming Historian was good sleep material too. They have very relaxing voices, speak calmly, and don't use a lot of high tempo music. Technology Connections and Noah Caldwell-Gervais are good for that, too. And Joe Pera has a great sleep podcast that I wish had more episodes.

When I do that, I'll drop a couple hours of talking into my Youtube queue and then chase it with some ambient stuff. There's a channel called She's Gone that has long videos of ambient music like that. I'll drop one of those at the end of the queue.

You seen that mod that put Sonic Adventure DX characters into GTAV?

It's AI and like a lot of these mods it requires you to run both games at the same time because it's sort of just greenscreening characters from one game into the other game. It's why all the Sonic characters are still lit like they're in SADX. Because they are.

There's also not really a point to any of it? You aren't doing missions. The homing attack doesn't target anything. You just run around impossibly fast and blow up anything that touches you. There's maybe four minutes of fun there, assuming you can even get it to work right.

It's slop. Hard pass. Don't even give that guy clicks.

To the person sending me asks dooming about GenAI in gaming:

Xbox biz guy deletes his X account less than 24 hours after saying game devs who don’t embrace AI ‘should not be in the business of being a

Xbox’s business strategy manager went on a twitter rant about how corporations shouldn’t need to be secretive about their generative AI usage because using genAI to make games is normal.

He got so dogpiled by people telling him off that he deleted his account. Not made it private, just straight up deleted the entire thing after barely even half a day.

He was worried about getting fired over these opinions and instead he got something much worse: thousands of people blowing up his phone non-stop telling him how wrong he was. It’s likely this is going to follow him for a bit, too, especially now that it’s been pointed out he’s trying to run away from it.

The tide is turning. The bubble is going to pop.

The evil does not last forever. It never does.
