Crumbl Bakes New Pink Velvet Heart Cake

Crumbl debuts its new Pink Velvet Heart Cake as part of this week's limited-time rotating dessert menu available from May 4 through May 9, 2026.

Here's the limited-time lineup for this week:

- New Pink Velvet Heart Cake - A pink, heart-shaped "cake batter cake" topped with vanilla cream cheese frosting and pink cake crumbs.

- Cookies & Cream Cheesecake - A cookies & cream cheesecake on a cookies & cream crust, topped with whipped cream and more cookies & cream pieces.

- Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cookie - A chilled, chocolate, cookies & cream cookie topped with strawberry cream cheese frosting and a drizzle of semi-sweet chocolate.

- Biscoff White Chip Cookie - A warm cookie butter cookie packed with Biscoff cookie pieces and creamy white chips, topped with half a Biscoff cookie.

- Mom's Recipe Cookie - A warm oatmeal cookie packed with semi-sweet chocolate, toffee, and peanut butter-flavored chips, sprinkled with sea salt.

In addition to the limited-time lineup, Crumbl is offering the Galaxy Brownie Cookie on May 4, 2026, for any Star Wars fans out there. The cookie features a warm brownie cookie topped with a warm fudge glaze and a sprinkle of rainbow candy bits.

This week's Thursday Thins (available Thursday only) are Snickerdoodle Cookie Thins.

Firehouse Subs Launches New Steak & Cheese Melt

Firehouse Subs launches its "new and improved" Steak & Cheese Melt at participating locations chain-wide.

The new sandwich features flame-seared USDA Choice prime rib, melted provolone, brown sugar- caramelized onions, and red and green bell peppers, served on the chain's signature top-cut roll.

Prices vary, but an 8-inch medium Steak & Cheese Melt costs $12.45 at a Firehouse Subs here in Los Angeles.

As a promotion for the new Steak & Cheese Melt, on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, "any guest who shares a name in the Mike family" can get a free medium Steak & Cheese Melt (no purchase necessary) at participating locations (the chain's president is named Mike). According to the sandwich chain, names in the "Mike family" include Mike, Michael, Mikey, Miguel, Michelle, Michele, and Michaela. Showing an ID is required.

Review: McDonald's - Derpy McFlurry

McDonald's Derpy McFlurry features vanilla soft serve mixed with berry popping boba and wild berry sauce.

I bought one for $4.49 (versus $3.99 for the chain's regular McFlurry flavors).

The Derpy McFlurry is named after a character from the film KPOP Demon Hunters, and its rather cute visage is featured on the cup.

If you like blueberries and cream, that's essentially the flavor of the Derpy McFlurry. There's an enjoyable, sweet blueberry flavor to go with the smooth, creamy vanilla notes. With a similar size, the berry popping boba worked as a stand-in for actual blueberries. While a few were broken, most of the boba were intact and plump for a nice pop of juice/sauce.

When it comes down to it, I liked the Derpy McFlurry quite a bit. Partially because McDonald's doesn't often offer any sort of fruit (or fruit-flavored) McFlurry. They don't even have the Strawberry Sundae anymore.

Chipotle Brings Back Chipotle Honey Chicken

Chipotle Honey Chicken is back for a limited time at Chipotle as a sweet and spicy protein option.

Chipotle's Chipotle Honey Chicken features chicken marinated with smoky chipotle peppers, grilled, and then finished with a bit of honey. In addition to its availability as a protein for the chain's entrees, Chipotle Honey Chicken is also available in a High Protein Cup (prices vary, but it costs $4.45 near me in Los Angeles [versus $3.85 for a regular Chicken High Protein Cup]).

Chipotle suggests getting the limited-time chicken in a bowl with white rice, black beans, light roasted chili-corn salsa, and guacamole.

In addition to the US, Chipotle Honey Chicken is also available in Canada, the UK, France, and Germany.

Dunkin' Welcomes New Refresher Flavors, Dirty Soda, and More

Dunkin' readies for summer 2026 with a lineup of new drinks and bakery goods that includes new Black Cherry and Limeade Dunkin’ Refreshers, Dunkin' Dirty Soda, Oreo cookie drinks, new Coffee Chillers, and fruit punch donuts.

New Black Cherry flavor and Limeade can be ordered with any Refresher, but are featured in the following drinks:

- Cherry Lime Rickey Refresher - Black Cherry flavor and new Limeade.

- Cherry Daydream Refresher - Black Cherry flavor and oatmilk, topped with Sweet Cold Foam.

- Very Cherry Daydream Refresher - A Cherry Daydream Refresher with the addition of toasted almond flavor.

- Cherry Protein Daydream Refresher - Black Cherry flavor and protein milk, topped with Sweet Cold Foam.

New Dunkin' Dirty Soda is the chain's odd take on the trendy drink. It features coffee milk and Pepsi cola, topped with Sweet Cold Foam.

Dunkin's seasonal Oreo drink lineup includes:

- Oreo Cloud Latte - Espresso mixed with whole milk and chocolate cookie swirl, topped with Marshmallow Cold Foam and Oreo cookie crumbles.

- Oreo Matcha - A Matcha latte made with whole milk and vanilla flavor, topped with Marshmallow Cold Foam and Oreo cookie crumbles.

- Oreo Coolatta - A Vanilla Bean Coolatta blended with Oreo cookie crumbles.

New Coffee Chillers replace Dunkin's frozen coffee with "a smooth, creamy, and bold taste." They're featured in three flavors: Oreo, Caramel Creme, and Triple Mocha. A classic Coffee Chiller is also available with your choice of dairy base and flavor customization.

Finally, Dunkin adds two fruit punch-flavored donuts and donut holes

The Fruit Punch Donut is a yeast donut coated in fruit punch-flavored icing and a fruit punch sprinkle blend.

Fruit Punch Munchkins are Blueberry cake donut holes coated in a fruit punch sprinkle blend.

Review: McDonald's HUNTR/X Meal

McDonald's HUNTR/X Meal is a limited-time combo meal with a KPop Demon Hunters theme that includes a 10-piece order of Chicken McNuggets, Ramyeon McShaker Fries, a medium fountain drink, and a collectible card.

The meal cost me $12.19.

The meal comes in a special box that's basically an oversized Happy Meal box. It features both HUNTR/X and Saja Boy graphics, so I'm guessing the same box is used for the special breakfast combo as well.

The Chicken McNuggets box included themed graphics on the outside and inside:

The new items in the combo box (and the focus of this review) are the Demon Sauce and Ramyeon McShaker Fries.

I asked for both Hunter Sauce (a sweet chili sauce) and Demon Sauce (a new mustard sauce) for the McNuggets, but they ended up giving me two Demon Sauces.

The Demon Sauce was purple in color. It's not a fruit sauce, though, and tasted like a mix of honey mustard and mayo with a light-to-medium dose of spicy heat. It was good, but not great. While the color hits the KPop Demon Hunter, the flavor was pretty run-of-the-mill. I guess if you've been missing Hot Mustard, Demon Sauce is similar, but sweeter.

The Ramyeon McShaker Fries includes a medium order of McDonald's Fries, a seasoning packet, and a pouch to shake them together.

The seasoning was yellow flecked with green bits and sesame seeds. I had to break up some lumps, but it coated the fries well.

As for how it tasted, there was a savory seasoned quality to it. However, it didn't taste like any instant ramen or ramyeon seasoning that I've ever eaten. It lacked meatiness and heat. You'd probably be better off grabbing the seasoning packet of your favorite ramyeon (or ramen) and shaking it on the fries.

Between the Demon Sauce and the Ramyeon McShaker Fries, I liked the Demon Sauce better, as the Ramyeon McShaker seasoning was just okay for me. I was expecting more in the way of Korean flavors in McDonald's HUNTR/X Meal, given the theme, but it was sadly lacking in that department. The packaging was really nice, though.

Big Fat Tacos Return to Del Taco

Big Fat Tacos are back at Del Taco for a limited time, featuring flatbreads similar to Taco Bell's Gorditas (which, ironically, aren't offered anymore). The fast-food chain also brings back Dragon Fruit Blueberry Poppers and introduces new Mini Sweet Cream Churros.

Del Taco's Big Fat Tacos lineup includes:

- Grilled Chicken Big Fat Taco - Marinated grilled chicken served with creamy chipotle sauce, grated cheddar cheese, shredded lettuce, and diced tomatoes in a folded "thick, buttery toasted flatbread."

- Seasoned Beef Big Fat Taco - Seasoned ground beef served with Salsa Casera, grated cheddar cheese, shredded lettuce, and diced tomatoes in a folded toasted flatbread.

- Carne Asada Big Fat Taco - Grilled carne asada, served with secret sauce, grated cheddar cheese, shredded lettuce, and diced tomatoes in a folded toasted flatbread.

- Egg & Cheese Big Fat Taco - Scrambled eggs, red sauce, and grated cheddar cheese, served in a folded toasted flatbread.

- Bacon, Egg & Cheese Big Fat Taco - Scrambled eggs, bacon, red sauce, and grated cheddar, served in a folded toasted flatbread.

As a promotion for the flatbread tacos, Del Taco is offering a two-for-$6 deal on Grilled Chicken Big Fat Tacos and Breakfast Big Fat Tacos at participating locations.

Dragon Fruit Blueberry Poppers feature blueberry-flavored popping boba and dragon fruit pieces with either Sprite, lemonade, or a vanilla shake.

The new Mini Sweet Cream Churros are served two to an order. Each mini churro is filled with sweet vanilla cream and dusted with cinnamon sugar.
