I'm looking for something around a 70mm-200mm lens. The Sony f2.8 is too expensive for me, the f4 version is possibly - at a stretch - affordable second hand - but what other third party alternatives should I be looking at?

I don't manage to find time now to lug all the equipment around. I want a camera that is smaller and still delivers excellent images. I think if I have something that is easier and less heavy to carry...

It still looks the same as the very first GR (which I'm still using) but with an APS sensor onboard this should take some mighty fine pics.

Price is was beyond me though at £599.

So I'd like a camera that takes nice pictures. Low light isn't a priority. It will be mainly for holidays and family events. I've had good 35mm slrs decades ago. But since digital, I've either had a compact Lumix thing or phone cameras.

Any recommendations? I've seen nikon d90s for that kind of money, and vaguely remember when they were good digital slrs... But...

First impressions, I used to own a Contax G2, the feel and layout is almost identical, even the weird autofocusing foibles. Im pretty sure whoever designed this Camera owns a Contax G2 and a set of Zeiss primes.
