Position: Machinist
Location: Cannon Falls, MN

Responsibilities:
A successful candidate will show an ability to work safely and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision performing basic responsibilities such as fabrication and design of extrusion and machine tooling, (typically 50Lbs or smaller). Provide tooling and technical support for production, maintenance and all other departments as needed. Perform basic equipment TPM and 5S tasks on tool shop equipment.
Specific reoccurring duties:
· Primary duties would be machining Nonferrous, Stainless steel and composite tooling plates (typically under 50lbs)
· Must be capable of operating all tool room equipment in accordance with all safety standards.
· Maintain a neat and orderly work area at all times.
· Provide support to toolmakers & the production floor fabricating and modifying tooling such as small nonferrous, composite, and stainless-steel blocks and templates. Modifying and serving punch tooling and other fabrication equipment
· Maintaining and managing tooling Kan-Ban inventories
· Adding labor resources where needed to support workflow through the tooling shop
· Daily safety audits and 5S activities
· Have basic knowledge of and continually develop technical capable capabilities to operate machining centers such as:
o CNC vertical machining centers (water based cutting fluid)
o High Taper and Standard Wire EDM work centers.
o Graphite “Sinker” EDM work centers.
o Extrude Hone
o Surface Grinder
o Bridgeport manual mills
o Machine lathes
o Band and horizontal machining saws
o Manual Welding and brazing
o Other various tool room fabrication and measurement equipment
· Understand and develop CAM software capabilities (Master Cam)
· Self-manage daily tasks such as repairing and assembling extrusion tooling, stocking tool shop supplies and production templates kanban’s
· Meet or exceed targeted objectives in accordance with the company’s goals and performance reviewed on a bi-annual basis.
· Be willing to work flexible hours and occasional overtime as needed
· May be required to perform other duties as needed.
Skills and Abilities Required:
· Good communication and organizational skills.
· Ability to work in a cooperative manner with others.
· Ability to work well under minimum work direction.
· Own basic measuring tools & instruments
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints/sketches.
· Ability to run basic machine shop equipment such as saws, mills, lathes, grinders, drills, etc.
· Ability to program and operate the EDM and CNC machines.
· Ability to use master-cam software to design tooling preferred.
· Experience with Solidworks preferred.
· 2-year degree in tool and die field and/or 3-5 years machining experience.
· High school diploma or equivalent.

Quinlan And Fabish is currently looking for an energetic and motivated individual for a full-time brass or woodwind repair tech. We prefer applicants to have at least a professional certificate or equivalent experience in brass or woodwind repair.
We currently have openings in our Burr Ridge Illinois location, and we also have openings in our Indiana locations.

Under general supervision, receives invoices, verifies receipt of goods, checks price, and codes invoice with vendor number, discount with due date, and general ledger number. Prepares various reports.
Essential Job Functions
•Receives invoices and verifies receipt of goods, verifies unit pricing, quantity, and item.
•Codes invoices with vendor numbers, discounts with due dates, and general ledger numbers.
•Creates profiles in Workflow.
•Enters invoices into the computer or prepares invoices in Workflow for automated entry.
•Processes check run.
•Prepares and submits the remote deposit for A/R.
•Checks statements and follows up on old items.
•Prepares various reports.
•Initiates electronic payments.
•Scans documents into imaging software.
•Backup for Billing.
•Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required
Education
•High School education, or its equivalent, plus six to twelve months related training or business experience.
Skills
•Good verbal and writing skills to deal courteously and effectively with vendors and co-workers.
•High level of mental/visual attention required for close work with figures.
Abilities
•Must possess good keyboarding skills and personal computer skills.
