British alt-rock icons Mallory Knox have officially released “Afterglow”, their brand new single featuring original frontman Mikey Chapman.

Marking their first studio release since original lead vocalist Mikey Chapman rejoined the band, ‘Afterglow’ serves as the opening statement for a forthcoming collection of new material written and recorded over the past year.

Marking a bold new era for the band - now comprised of Chapman alongside core members James Gillett and Dave Rawling - “Afterglow" carries deep personal significance for the band, tracing back to the very moment they decided to reunite.

"Afterglow is the very first song Dave, James and I jammed out after deciding to write again as a band," shares lead vocalist Mikey. "The song reflects the anticipation, excitement and hope we found in those initial moments as we brought the band back to life. Lyrically, I wanted to embody the mantra that I had been telling myself for some time at that point - that there is life yet to be lived if only you are willing to try. I hope that many will find their own inspiration and hope within the song too."

Mallory Knox are an alternative rock band hailing from Cambridge, England. Known for their high-energy anthems, infectious hooks, and dynamic live performances, the band have established themselves as a powerhouse in the UK rock scene. King Parrot Announce No-Holds-Barred EU / UK headline Tour After Pantera Stadium Run

You aren’t ready for this! Aussie extreme metal cohort King Parrot, will be returning to European and UK shores, bringing their no holds barred, off kilter live experience in September, supporting their new album “A Young Person’s Guide To King Parrot”.

The last time we welcomed the quietus quartet, they were decimating stadiums nationwide and all over Europe opening for Pantera and Power Trip in 2025. In the summer of 2026, the boys from down under are excited to announce their return with a late summer run of headline shows all over Europe and the UK.

The new album has received a rousing reception by the metal community with tracks like “Fuck You and the Horse You Rode In On” and “It’s A Rort” and their accompanying videos being lapped up by old and new fans alike. King Parrot recently completed a monstrous 39 date US tour alongside Gwar and Soulfly and are firing on all cylinders leading up to their return to the UK and Europe. Most recently the band have enlisted the services of veteran bass player Derek Engemann (Scour, Philip H Anselmo and The Illegals, ex-Cattle Decapitation) and he will be joining the band again as he did on the US tour.

AR DY LINIAU (ON YOUR KNEES) is a song about confrontation, resilience and refusing to be pushed aside. Sarah Wynn Griffiths says: “AR DY LINIAU (ON YOUR KNEES) is cathartic; it’s about confronting the people and situations that push boundaries and fail to show you respect.”
Gwion Griffiths adds: “It captures our early-2000s nu-metal influences with a darker, industrial edge. It’s about finding the strength to stand your ground.”

With PRAELIA due for release soon, C E L A V I will follow their Download appearance with a support slot alongside As December Falls at Chepstow Castle this Saturday, and a performance at Pro Weekend Fest 2026 in Spain this autumn.

BLOODSTOCK Reveal 27 Bands For 2027 Including All Headliners

BLOODSTOCK festival HQ have revealed the first bands for 2027, unveiling them at the Ronnie James Dio stage right after Municipal Waste’s face-melting set on Friday the 7th August at the 2026 event.

Mark your calendar now and start planning for August 5th - 8th, 2027.

On Friday night, your Ronnie James Dio main stage headliners are MERCYFUL FATE - the Danish legends who helped invent heavy metal theatrics, King Diamond's falsetto still as unholy as ever. Corpse paint, inverted crosses, and a stage show soaked in occult drama…pay your respects, this is where a lot of extreme metal's DNA actually comes from. King Diamond has a little update for you, declaring, “Mercyful Fate is honored and looking extremely forward to playing BLOODSTOCK again, last time was awesome, and this time with a brand new album out, FINALLY!!!”

Saturday night parties hard in a totally different fashion, though with no less chaos, as ELECTRIC CALLBOY headline BLOODSTOCK for the very first time. German metalcore collides with EDM and full-blown comedy for one of the wildest and most fun live shows in modern metal. Expect Catton Park jumping in unison like it's a rave that wandered into a mosh pit. The band say, “Our first ever Bloodstock. Heavy music, questionable outfits, and thousands of metalheads? Sounds like a Perfect fit to us. We’re in. See you there!”

Sunday night closes out with another brand new headliner for BLOODSTOCK, gothic-industrial metalcore giants MOTIONLESS IN WHITE, delivering eye-poppin’ theatrical spectacle two decades in. Chris Motionless leads the charge, turning every note into the catchiest horror movie you can mosh to. Having caught their dazzling last tour, the band go from strength to strength and we can only imagine what plans are afoot for this headline set. Chris Motionless states, “Bloodstock! We were told that we are one of the most requested bands to perform at your legendary festival, so it is with great honor to announce that we are answering the call and will be seeing you next year for our first ever European festival headlining show, and only U.K. show of 2027! Thank you so much! Let the countdown begin.”

Over on the Sophie Lancaster stage, Thursday headliners MADBALL are set to pulverize your opening night with 35+ years of pure New York hardcore under their belt. Freddy Cricien's crew still hits as hard as they did back in '89, no gimmicks. Friday’s closing slot goes to the mysterious GAEREA, black metal that's grown more cinematic and crushing with every record. KANONENFIEBER march into Saturday’s top spot: Noise’s German war machine turning WWI diaries into blackened death metal, think trench warfare rendered in sound. And to close it out, as the very final band of the festival, DETHKLOK - born from the animated series Metalocalypse, now a real band tearing through brutally serious, melodic death metal live. They may have had cartoon origins but they bring dead-serious riffs you won’t want to miss.

Friday special guests ACID BATH crawl from the Louisiana bayou, sludge metal pioneers blending doom, blues, and southern gothic dread. Saturday special guests GREEN LUNG conjure folk-horror occult rock, all Hammer-film atmosphere and fuzzed-out riffs… witchy, heavy, and a little unhinged. Sunday special guests CHILDREN OF BODOM return to honor the legacy of the late Alexi Laiho, celebrating the melodic death metal sound that made them Finnish icons.

The patient are rewarded… DEVILDRIVER finally return, their dark, groove-laden California metal led by Dez Fafara's signature growl and perfect for record numbers of circle pits. The legendary CORROSION OF CONFORMITY roll in, over 40 years deep into a sound that fuses hardcore punk roots with Sabbath-soaked southern metal. IMMINENCE bring Swedish alternative metalcore, all soaring choruses wrapped around crushing breakdowns. A booking set to delight many - WIND ROSE, Italian folk-power metal built for fantasy battles and beer-hall singalongs. SYLOSIS wield UK thrash-meets-melodic-death precision, courtesy of Josh Middleton's relentless riffing. DECAPITATED offer up Polish technical death metal with riffs sharp enough to earn respect from the genre's toughest critics. WITCH CLUB SATAN could be your new favourites, an all-female Norwegian black metal coven turning theatre training into confrontational, ritualistic chaos. HAMMERFALL bring the true steel - Swedish power metal at its most anthemic. Fellow Swedes, death metal originators HYPOCRISY are still delivering a masterclass three decades in. You can also see THE HALO EFFECT, ex-In Flames members returning to the classic Gothenburg melodic death metal sound that built the genre. Former BLOODSTOCK stage breakers (yes, we remember) TORTURED DEMON are set to give it another go with their pedigree thrash. Are you ready for GUTALAX? Czech goregrind degenerates who've built a career on toilet humor and blast beats. HUMANITY'S LAST BREATH also join the bill, Swedish deathcore architects of the crushing, low-tuned "thall" sound. And Liverpool's self-proclaimed masters of "caveman battle doom" CONAN intend to heft riffs so heavy they practically have their own gravitational pull.

The Sophie stage will be just as varied. Here’s three more treats you can expect in the big tent!

DOOL slink in, in a haze of candlelight and doom, weaving in dark rock and post-rock into something hypnotic straight out of Rotterdam plus they’ve just finished writing a new album. Things get ugly (in the best way) with PIG DESTROYER, Virginia grindcore legends who'll turn your skull inside out with blast beats and JR Hayes' nightmarish lyrics. And if you haven’t discovered them yet, you soon will - FULCI rise from the grave with old-school death metal soaked in zombie-flick gore, every album a tribute to horror icon Lucio Fulci.

Early bird standard weekend tickets are available at the main entrance box office throughout the festival, priced £210.00 with no booking fee. Once they're gone (and there’s a high chance these will sell out on site), the price rises to £235 plus booking fee, with general on-sale kicking off on Monday 10th August at 9am - so grabbing your early bird at the festival could save you a cool £34 per ticket.

Wednesday early access is also available for 2027 for some campsites, as are child tickets, and children under 4 can attend for free! The instalment scheme, allowing you to spread your purchase of some ticket types over several payments, will also return, going on sale on Wednesday 12th August. Coach packages will be available from Monday 10th August.

VIP and Campervan tickets will go on sale on Wednesday 12th August at 9am. New for 2027! There are now two luxury VIP areas at BLOODSTOCK! Heavy Metal Truants: The "Ed To Ed" Challenge

While the HMT crew makes their epic ride to Catton Park starting today (follow them here), you can get in on the action without breaking a sweat on the road. If you’re at BLOODSTOCK, head to the HMT tent in the main arena and hop on a static bike to see how fast you can generate enough real electricity to boil water - kids are racing to 5ml, adults to 10ml (a hand crank is available for differently-abled participants).

It's a £5 donation to the charity to take part, and every participant walks away with a cool HMT sticker. The fastest of each pair of challengers snags an HMT pin badge, hourly leaderboard champs earn 5 raffle entries (worth £20), and whoever posts the fastest time of the entire weekend bags a massive 50 free entries (worth £100)! Rival Sons - Nobody Wants To Die

"The song's powerful blend of blues, soul and modern rock struck a chord with vocalist Davy Wilson, while still echoing the timeless influence of Free and Bad Company, two bands that have shaped him enormously as a singer-songwriter. That combination of raw emotion, dynamic musicianship and classic rock spirit is something we strive to capture in our own music. Our track ‘Midnight Rider’ in particular was heavily inspired by this".

The Datsuns - Harmonic Generator

"The Datsuns debut album was the first album bought by guitarist Paul Mooney with his own pocket money as a kid. He was drawn in by the simplicity of the guitar riff, and how rather than using complex chords or melodies, it's the static rhythm of the guitar that is the song's main weapon and creates the hook. One you can't help bob your head, or tap your feet to. This song influenced him from a very young age, and is still an influence for writing riffs like the one he wrote for our track “Second Place”."

Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band - Hollywood Nights

"Classic example of the power and energy rock’n’roll can generate without necessarily being just flat-out fast. Grabs you right from the start, never lets up as it takes you on a journey driven on by the relentless rhythm section. You can definitely hear the instrument mix in Kelowna’s music and in particular, drummer Rory McEwan used that bass-drum drive in the track Monster where you can also hear the blend of piano and guitars throughout."

Pink Floyd - Terminal Frost

"That hazy, melancholic vibe is something we’ve found in some of the tracks we’ve written. There’s something about giving a track space to breathe and reflect the emotion that went into writing it. This track has a beautiful balance of keys & guitars that blend effortlessly - one compliments the other. Bass & drums are understated but accent in all the right places. Our debut album has a couple of tracks that mirror this approach and in particular, “Meet You” is one we’re particularly proud of".

Kasabian - Shoot the Runner

"Bringing it all up to date a little, we all still have a bunch of modern influences and this one has the swagger and stompability that we try and put into our more upbeat tracks. That sense of anthemic punchy rock’n’roll appeals to all five of us. In the back of your mind when writing almost every tune, is what each track brings to a live show

The bass leads the way in terms of the melody and that’s something you’ll hear throughout our debut album, especially in tracks like our last single Insanity. Bit crazy, bit of a pop under-current with a T-Rex vibe."

Formed in early 2024 in Scotland, KELOWNA came together through a shared love of rock and roll. The five-piece draw on different musical backgrounds, blending classic rock influence with modern melodic writing. Not long after forming, they released their debut EP, introducing a sound built on sharp hooks, steady drive, and straightforward song craft. The release quickly built them an early following, alongside a busy run of live shows.

In 2025, KELOWNA played a slew of prestigious events including Heartland Festival, Winterstorm, and Bonfest, with live sets built around energy, melody, and connection with the crowd. Frontman Davy Wilson leads the writing, with the rest of the band shaping his ideas into full arrangements. That approach runs through their debut album Superstar. Drummer Rory McEwan says: “There’s something natural about how our songs come together. They usually start with a hook or one of Davy’s stories, and the studio lets us take those ideas further. There’s a touch of retro in all five of us, and what comes out is rock ’n’ roll for the soul.”

The result is a record and sound built on melody, performance, and songs that land directly and leave a mark.

Formed in 2025, MERCERS bring together vocalist Olly James and guitarist/programmer Phil Bashford, both previously known for their work in nu-metallers, FONY. However, this is not a reunion, but a continuation of a long-standing songwriting partnership behind much of FONY’s material, including Routine Irregular and Circles.

What began as an idea to revisit and reshape older material into the form it was always intended to take quickly developed into something far bigger. With the addition of drummer Richard Titheradge and guitarist Simon Glover, the project evolved beyond its original concept and found its own identity.

The Liminal Tapes includes reworked versions of FONY tracks A Satire for the World and January Zen, alongside newer material that defines MERCERS on their own terms. The EP feels more open and expansive, shaped by time, perspective and a clearer sense of direction.

Since reforming in 2023, the three-piece have been rebuilding their sound from the ground up, bringing together modern metalcore, anthemic rock, and 80s-inspired synth textures. The result is a sound that’s heavy, melodic, and built on contrast and atmosphere.

Their new material draws on themes of mental health, love, loss, and the aftermath of difficult years, shaped by what the band have been navigating since getting back together. The upcoming EP has been in the works for around three years, and the band say it’s the closest they’ve come to capturing exactly what they set out to do when they returned.

Their influences include Being As An Ocean, Bad Omens, and Depeche Mode, with the focus firmly on shaping those ideas into something their own. The band comment: “We’re very excited about this release, and we’re really proud of what we’ve created. The EP reflects the hardships we’ve faced since disbanding in 2019 and the journey it’s taken to get back to where we are now. This is our strongest work to date, and we’re only just getting started.”

The EP feels like a turning point for the band, shaped by everything that’s come before it: the setbacks, the rebuilding, and the time spent getting back to this point. It looks back on where they’ve been, but more than anything, it points forward to what’s next for FAIL THE ENEMY.

Download Festival 2026: 95,000 Rock Fans Return to Donington Park for Electrifying 23rd Edition

Download Festival, the greatest celebration of alternative music in the UK, united fans to witness its most expansive and diverse lineup yet. Over five incredible days, Donington Park, the spiritual home of rock, burst to life as the Download community joined forces once again. From returning champions of the main stage, to the genre's most formidable acts and hotly tipped newcomers, this year's festival had something for everyone.

The beloved and long-running gathering of rockers, moshers and metalheads was headlined by Limp Bizkit, Guns N’ Roses and Linkin Park, while the hardcore haven also stepped into new and exciting territory, shining a spotlight on the buzziest up-and-comers the genre has to offer.

Limp Bizkit kicked off proceedings with a barnstorming set on Friday, sparking waves of crowd-surfing as far as the eye could see. Rock and roll legends Guns N’ Roses followed on Saturday with a vast catalogue of classic hits, while Linkin Park, returning 12 years after they last headlined Download, cranked up the volume with lead vocalist Emily Armstrong, bringing the weekend to a powerful close.

This year showcased more crossovers than ever, with festivalgoers treated to secret sets from the likes of Skindred and Creeper, while guest appearances from Enter Shikari frontman Rou Reynolds (during Pendulum’s set) and UK rap veteran Professor Green (with Native James) livened up already spirited sets.

The festival also paid an illustrious tribute to forefather of rock and Motörhead leading man Lemmy Kilmister, when Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan unveiled an urn of the legendary frontman’s ashes to bring Lemmy back to his fans.

The Final Fantasy official band THE PRIMALS made Download their first ever live appearance outside of Japan, and German techno heroes Scooter brought a new kind of energy to the Avalanche Stage. Download also hosted Decessus, fronted by Ignácia Fernandez, who went viral for her death metal vocals as Miss World Chile..

As ever, District X provided an array of entertainment, activities and merchendise offerings for attendees. Boy band Five lived up to their lyrics and made the crowd get down with a packed gig on Thursday night; former children's TV presenters-turned-DJs Dick and Dom got the party started with their high-energy stint on the decks; and pop-punk favourites The All-American Rejects delighted fans with sets both electric and acoustic.

Motörhead release single 'Be My Baby (Live at Lowlands Festival 2007)

Taken from the recently announced expanded 20th anniversary edition of Kiss Of Death, the Lowlands Festival performance of ‘Be My Baby’ is taken from the previously unreleased radio broadcast of Motörhead’s 2007 performance at the hallowed Dutch festival.

Originally released in 2006, Kiss Of Death is a ferocious reminder of Motörhead’s uncompromising, no-frills spirit—and a timely nod to the legendary status they’ve earned as one of the greatest hard rock bands of all time.

Driven by Lemmy’s unmistakable growl, backed by Phil Campbell’s blistering guitar work and Mikkey Dee’s razor-sharp precision drumming, Kiss Of Death—their 18th studio album—picks up exactly where 2004’s Inferno left off. It’s Motörhead doing what they do best: loud, fast, and relentless.

Leaning into the heavier edge of their sound, the album also features guest appearances from Mike Inez (Alice in Chains) and C.C. DeVille (Poison), and delivers standout cuts like ‘Sucker’, ‘Trigger’, and the fan-favourite ‘God Was Never On Your Side’.

Marking its 20th anniversary, this new edition sees the album newly half-speed mastered from the original tapes, with fresh liner notes from Classic Rock’s Dave Ling paying tribute to the contribution of the legendary Phil Campbell following his recent sad passing. It also includes an exclusive bonus live LP, capturing the band’s 2007 performance at Lowlands Festival in Biddinghuizen, Netherlands, available on vinyl for the first time. The CD edition features three additional bonus tracks.

Cancer Bats Unleash New Single/Video 'Long Tooth" + Band perform as Bat Sabbath at Download Festival Tomorrow

Ahead of the August 7 release of their eighth studio album, Give Me Dirt, six-time JUNO-nominated Canadian hardcore punk heavyweights, Cancer Bats, unleash the blistering new single “Long Tooth”. The track is now available on all digital streaming platforms HERE.

Featuring guest vocals from queer indie folk singer-songwriter Brooklyn Doran, “Long Tooth” is about living in the present instead of worrying about the future. Since there’s often little we can do until things unfold, it’s a reminder to enjoy the moment and not take life too seriously.

“The chorus reflects a realisation I’ve been having lately,” shares lead vocalist Liam Cormier. “I’m at the halfway point of my life (and yes, I fully intend to make it to at least 92). Like many people, I’ve spent years trying to fix certain parts of myself. Lately, I’ve found myself wondering whether those things really need fixing at all. They’ve carried me this far and have helped shape who I am. At some point, self-improvement gives way to self-acceptance, and the chorus embraces the idea that maybe it’s okay to just carry on.”

For the accompanying music video, Cancer Bats wanted to channel the wild, fun-loving spirit of classic videos like “Lucifer's Rocking Chair”, “Road Sick” and “Sabotage”. Bursting with jokes, charm, and a heartfelt message, the video for “Long Tooth” is the perfect visual companion to the song’s infectious energy and uplifting positivity.

Filmed by Mitch Barnes, who also directed the video for lead single “Stay Stuck”, the video for “Long Tooth” incorporates vintage theatre-inspired set pieces and green-screen effects to enhance the storytelling. The concept was developed as a way to bring other characters from the band’s universe into the narrative. Guest vocalist Brooklyn Doran appears in the video, while the villain is portrayed by Ian Romano, who helped record the album and is set to play drums on future tours.

“This video was a blast to make!” shares Cormier. “From building the sets to making the costumes, we worked really hard to bring this whole vision to life! I couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out”.

As the follow-up to their 2022 JUNO-nominated, critically acclaimed seventh studio album, Psychic Jailbreak, Give Me Dirt, pushes Cancer Bats’ artistry to new heights, fully realising the sound they have pursued throughout their musical careers. Produced by legendary metal producer Kurt Ballou (Converge, Kvelertak, High On Fire, Every Time I Die) and Zach Weeks at God City Studios in Salem, Massachusetts, with vocals recorded by Ian Romano (The Outfit, PigPen, Ancient Shapes) at Camera Varda Studios in Welland, Ontario, Give Me Dirt, sees Cancer Bats at their most sonically inspiring.

As with their earlier work, the music came together organically, with all four members jamming in the same room. One key lesson the band carried over from their last album was that the real magic happens when everyone is fully collaborating. Once the riffs, breakdowns, and grooves were locked in, Cormier returned to rural Nova Scotia to craft the lyrics and vocal hooks. Many of the songs took shape on dusty forest roads, along winding dirt bike trails, and while brewing campfire coffee on secluded North Shore beaches.

Inspired by a year of travel, Give Me Dirt unfolds as both an outward and inward journey, grounded in a deep connection to nature. The songs explore leaving urban life behind, processing personal loss, and confronting environmental devastation, while also reflecting on lessons drawn from the natural world.

Motorcycle travel forms another central thread on Give Me Dirt. From riding through the harsh conditions of the Canadian Rockies to a transformative journey in the mountains of Nepal just before recording, these experiences shaped the album’s perspective.

The overarching theme of returning to nature and reconnecting with the physical world also provided inspiration for the album's artwork. Instead of using digital tools, Cormier created a giant 4-foot by 8-foot mixed-media painting for the front and back covers. Using materials like paint, paper, stencils and drywall mud, he incorporated whatever he could get his hands on to build a large-scale, tactile piece. A second artwork of similar size was created for the liner notes featuring handwritten lyrics, collages, and similar paints and stencils used on the cover.

Cormier explains his motivation, “So many people I find are so sick of AI these days and all things that look too polished. I wanted the artwork to capture the energy of the album, but also represent us as a band. We are rough and dirty, our sound is loud and a mix of so many influences. Making art like this felt like such a good visual representation of not only the songs, but also Cancer Bats ourselves.”

GARROW HILL Release New Single From Upcoming EP

The York-based duo formed by lifelong friends Stewart King and P.G. Branton have often been labelled too obscure or too DIY, but GARROW HILL have stuck to their own path, shaping a sound that draws from alternative heavy rock, post-punk, and the harsher edges of ’90s metal. There’s a strong sense of place running through it, reflecting York’s mix of a polished surface with something darker underneath.

IX sees that sound pushed further — tighter and more direct, without losing the atmosphere they’ve built over time. Eaten by Crows sets the tone early on. Speaking about the track, Branton says:
“Eaten by Crows is about the slow, inevitable process of being consumed — piece by piece, until almost nothing remains. It’s the feeling of being picked apart by indifferent forces, of watching parts of yourself disappear while you still try to write the final page of your own story. There’s no dramatic scream, no grand final act — just the quiet, relentless erasure… and the stubborn refusal to vanish without leaving a mark.”

ALBUM REVIEW: BITTERNESS - 'HALLOWED BE THE GAME' (G.U.C)

Old-school German thrash metallers Bitterness return with their new nine-track album, marking their first time featuring guest musicians. The opener ‘WWH8’ makes for a gripping start with its stomping riffs, while ‘AMOK: KOMA’ uncovers devilish vocals and imbues an ominous, murky sound. ‘Hypochristian’ adds more diversity, featuring audio clips to aid its effect. Track ‘High Sobriety’ features robust vocals from Andreas “Gerre” Geremia (Tankard) and a guitar solo from Michael Goldschmidt and is a changeable offering with shifting tempos, making for a melodic, hard-hitting dose of thrash. Michael Goldschmidt also plays the solo on ‘Win-Windustry’. The title track starts off on an eerie, resonant note and does its job, representing the band and the album superbly. ‘Magnum Innominandum’ is a sombre yet hopeful-sounding instrumental, and they decide to end the album on the unexpected but brilliant Misfits cover with ‘Scream!’, which works well and makes for a different and fun ending.

Necropolitan will be released on Friday September 11th 2026. A monumental portrait of the power of nature over the dreams and dominion of humankind, Necropolitan is also a grand celebration of the occult lore and heavy music scene of the band’s birthplace, the city of London.

With producer Tom Dalgety (Opeth, Ghost) at the helm, this time handling everything from recording to mixing, the band decamped to Rockfield Studios in January 2026, following in the muddy footprints of some of Green Lung's key inspirations, from Black Sabbath to Queen to Judas Priest. Sonically, they were set on capturing their megalithic live sound more accurately than ever - stripping back their usual dense, multilayered arrangements to their rawest, leanest form and recording much of the album live to capture their Sabbathian heaviness, frenzied Hammonds and haunting Mellotrons as faithfully as possible.

The result is an album that combines the soaring hookiness of This Heathen Land with an uncompromising rawness and heaviness, and takes the band’s distinctive brand of sonic storytelling to macabre new heights.

If, a year after Black Sabbath’s Back to the Beginning show and the death of Ozzy Osbourne, you had any doubts about the future of traditional British metal, Necropolitan will lay them to rest. Here is a band taking the torch from the heavy metal godfathers and running with it, bursting with all the musicianship and storytelling flair that has kept the genre’s flame burning for a half-century, and using it to temper a lyrical and sonic world that is entirely their own.

A cult band in every sense of the word, Green Lung emerged from London’s heavy rock scene with self-released debut EP Free the Witch (2018).

Formed by married duo Gwion Griffiths and Sarah Wynn Griffiths, C E L A V I have built a reputation for emotionally charged performances and high-impact releases that explore identity, mental health, and self-expression. Evanescence releases the official music video for their powerful new song “Who Will You Follow” — listen here/watch here

Directed by Jensen Noen, the cinematic visual pairs thought-provoking imagery with an emotionally charged performance to explore the overwhelming impact of technology, misinformation, and digital culture, examining how constant online noise impacts us all. Both the lyrics and accompanying video emphasise the importance of seeking authenticity in an era where truth feels increasingly and intentionally corrupted.

“Who Will You Follow” has already become the fastest-moving rock radio single of Evanescence’s career to date, entering the Top at US Rock Radio in under 4 weeks and earning the band its first-ever #1 on Billboard’s Hard Rock Song Chart. The track was co-written and produced by Zakk Cervini (Bad Omens, YUNGBLUD, Bring Me The Horizon, Spiritbox) and Jordan Fish (Bring Me The Horizon, Poppy, House of Protection, Architects). album, which features tracks produced by Cervini/Fish as well as songs produced by Nick Raskulinecz (Korn, Foo Fighters, Rush).

‘Sanctuary’ will be available as a Digital Album, Standard CD, Deluxe CD and limited-edition Box Set. A double vinyl of the album will be released on September 4th. The band’s 2026 World Tour, kicks off on June 11th, and takes them across North America, UK and Europe — tickets here. Special guest Spiritbox and Nova Twins will open on the North American portion of the tour, and special guest Poppy will support on the UK & Europe shows with Nova Twins opening outside the UK. K.Flay, who features on Evanescence’s last single, “Fight Like A Girl,” will open the UK shows. K.Flay will also support Evanescence for their Red Rocks Amphitheatre concert. Their recently announced date at Kuala Lumpur’s National Hockey Stadium, which sold out in 24 minutes.

Evanescence has partnered with PLUS1 so that $1/£1/€1 from every ticket sold will support organisations providing humanitarian aid and medical relief to those in need around the world. Additionally, Head Count, a non-profit/non-partisan entity will be on site at most of the band’s US concerts to register new voters and to instruct previously-registered voters how to check their registration status to ensure it is still valid.
